“Over the last few years I have been buying my camera & studio equipment from Calumet, both the Edinburgh & Glasgow stores. I can only say good things about this company. All the staff are both friendly & knowledgeable in all matters to do with photography & are only too keen to offer advice or service. Overall experience is outstanding. I certainly will continue buying from here and would highly recommend Calumet to other photographers. John McLean. Perth.”

“I ordered a Nikon D810 online. Authorization with Worldpay went through OK and I received a confirmation email from Calumet. I received another email from Calumet later in the day. The email was very unprofessional looking; it was a forward of the earlier confirmation email, in it, the writer did not use my name, just started it with 'Hi', they then asked that I send them scanned copies of photo ID and proof of address!! The email was not signed, it just had 2 initials and no signature block. I rang Calumet and expressed my concern to their operative; she said that they were a reputable company with a London address, she asked if I would be happier sending the requested documentation to her email address. I declined and asked for the order to be cancelled. I have never before been asked to send copies of very personal data in such a way. I have bought many expensive items over the internet and this was a first. Calumet had already taken payment and it took 4 days for their refund to show up on my credit card account. It would be very easy to create a phoney driving licence and proof of address to be sent in an email, so I don't see what Calumet would gain by having them. I personally would never use the company again.”

“For many years I have found the name Calumet to be 100% safe and trustworthy. That is why I chose to buy from them again recently and this time my opinion of them went up twentyfold. There are only two or three photographic companies I would use online and Calumet has to be one of them.”

“I bought a pair of Bowen 530 continuous lights, Paul at Calumnet was very helpful. One of the 10 lightbulbs wasn't working and is being replaced free of charge. However, I noted that the light bulbs supplied were 24kW, the web site says 30kW. Having said that the equipment is well constructed and I expect will be reliable.”

“Was a warranty return, unfortunately it got lost in the system and nearly 2 months later after an email and phone call the replacement part arrived. Usually extremely happy and had no issues in the past.”
