“Was just round for the free sensor cleaning as part of the open day but used the opportunity to ask questions. Staff were very helpful and answered all questions.”

“No issues with Calumet. Do wish you have some more stock items in store to try before you buy. Spending from £4-500 upwards there are some items you like to try. Main reason I can't give a Very Good is the call system. I like to speak to the branch who know my issues and will help with local experience. If I need to call your contact centre I now look around online to see the product which results in looking for better prices. Calumet is not the cheapest of the market but I am happy to pay that little extra when I have a local sales rep giving me trusted advice.”

“I bought a Fuji x-t1 from Drummond Street and had trouble with the battery not charging. It wasn't know if it was the battery or the charger that was the problem. I was only getting 177 JPEGS from a charge. The battery was only charging for a relatively short time before it indicated that it was fully charged. You didn't have either a battery or a charger to replace the ones I was having trouble with, so suggested you keep the camera to test it for yourselves and find the problem. I wasn't too happy as I had just spent a lot of money on a new camera which I wanted to use. It was decided to replace the entire unit in the circumstances. When I charged the new battery, it charged for the length of time I would have expected, and I get the amount of shots from it that I would expect. It was very good that you replaced the whole unit, but a bit of an oversight that you had no spare chargers or batteries in stock, which would most likely have solved the problem. So in summary, really great that you changed the whole thing, but I felt a little uncomfortable when the problem was most likely the charger/battery.”

“After a little confusion over loan equipment, we were able to borrow lights with which we were unfamiliar, and test them in a non-specialist situation. Thanks to very helpful staff, we purchased the equipment, and we are very happy with it.”

“I came to Calumet while the store was being refurbished. Normally I would give 5 stars but clearly things were in turmoil. Nonetheless there were about seven staff who spent most of their time interacting with one another and ignoring me. When I WAS served service was swift and helpful”

“When I received an email from Calumet offering specific discounts I decided to order a few items using their website and the discount on offer. The site was easy to use and the whole transaction went through quickly and easily. Delivery was free and I had the items two working days later, well packed and without fuss.”

“I recently visited Calumet in Edinburgh and was served by John Douglas. He could not have been more helpful and took lots of time to take me skilfully and patiently through the merits and demerits of the various products in which I was interested. The quality of service I received actually led to my purchasing more products than intended and the outstanding customer care I experienced convinced me that Calumet would have my custom in future.”
