“Been banking for more then 19+ years with you guys and I can honestly say today, it's been no pleasure at all. Never ever have I met a bank that doesn't assist in its clients needs like you. There's no point in sending you emails, all you receive back is automatic generated replies and promises to be contacted back, but you just never receive that contact, not by email, not by phonecall. And your WhatsApp service, beyond pathetic...only now and then a consultant who chats with you actually do care about you and does everything to assist you. Well I guess if you're salary that gets paid in your account is less then R10K per month, you're considered as a "not so important" client right? Why should we assist you promptly, why should we call you or email you back? Oh well, I'm off to Nedbank and closing my account with you in the next week!!!”
“Capitec customer service is very very bad they just donβt care about their customers ....... today a transaction happened while I was home I just got a message that my money went to someone that I dnt even know when I rushed to the bank to claim and asked them for them to reverse the money because I do not know anything about those transactions ..... all I was told is that I must wait for the 8 working days for my account to be investigated mean while they can see everything in their computer and who took my money

“A capitec client scammed and frauded me out of a large amount of money. I reported fraud to my bank and they called Capitec because the criminals account is at Capitec after a week of apparently investigations. Both AbSa and Capitec just pulled up their shoulders and said sorry you lost all your money. There is nothing they can do. A client and a victim. The institutions we trust with our hard earned money wont even assist you when your hard earned money is stolen. Capitec is the bank for scammers and frauds. Please people make sure your money is safe because the banks dont care about you or your money that you trust them with. In short I wont get my money back and there nothing they can do. In short they are pathetic”

“I withdraw amount of R400.00 at capitec mercury lane one of the note where stained and went to capitec bank Smith Street to complaint they told me they can't help me. I went to capitec bank samora machel street and they said they have to call head office to tell them I had not with stain. I had to wait an hour just to change 100 note while consultant seating on unswered call from head office. After and hour call was answered and was dropped consultant had to call and wait another 15 minutes. And after that 15 min the call was hangedup again. Capitec service it horrible.”
“I am on debt review. I took a personal loan of R48000 in 2012. My installment was R1537. I paid till 2016 then i went on debt review. My Balance at that time was R24500. But now in 2021 after i paid my debt review installment for 5 years i was told by Capitec that my balance is R23362. When i queried i was told that i was being charged ontractual interest. The interest that was added was more that the installment that i was paying. For 5 years Capitec bank failed to inform me that curial bit of information. After 5 years i had to find out the hard way. This bank didnt act in good faith towards me and they are refusing to assist me. π”
