“Honestly a good buy. Was literally about to leave to buy a car. When i purchased the carfax and discovered the owner lied about being second owner (the car had 5 previous owners) and there was a total loss declared on the vehicle. And saved me from spending money. P.S. I pays to take your time in purchasing a used vehicle. I waited and ended up with a much better car.”

“I like carfax better than autocheck but Carfax price is outrageous. Very expensive for either 1 or 5 carfax report, however Autocheck offer unlimited for less price,\.”

“having the ability of knowing the history behind a used vehicle can be very rewarding, and used in the negotiation of the purchase. Not to mention the unseen misfortunes of undisclosed information. The information which I received from car fax reports was to be accurate, and well worth the cost. They provided the knowledge I was needing to purchase, without worries, my used truck. And to be reassuring, the buy back guarantee, if any information was found to be wrong. CarFax is to me, a necessity before the purchase of any used vehicle.”

“Carfax was very detailed and very helpful, but unfortunately I could not get a loan for a car I was checking out, because no bank will give you a loan for car older than 10 years:( But I'm sure, I will use Carfax again in future.”

“It was a great experience for me especially realizing how crucially important it is to have a verifiable history report of a car I have an interest in. I have no idea what was I doing before carfax, I bought many cars before I had carfax that I am sure I wouldn't of If I've known about the things the carfax let's me know now. So.. Thanks Carfax! Hope you could keep your prices more affordable in the future! ;)”

“I was ready to buy a 2012 Honda Civic from a seller who stated the car had a clean history. No accidents. At the last minute however I decided to run a Carfax report and found it to have a Rebuilt Salvage NY brand on title. The report also stated the factory warranty had been voided. I am very thankful for this service for saving me from a very expensive mistake. There are lots of dishonest people out there. I will always remember and tell my family and friends, Don't buy a used car without Carfax !”

“After much searching, and faithfully checking CARFAX on each, and discarding them when CARFAX highlighted numerous problems, I finally fought the car of my dreams. It looked good, had low mileage and CARFAX highlighted no problems. I bought it at an auction, something I would have never been comfortable doing unless it had checked out with CARFAX. Thanks CARFAX!”

“I recently purchased a 2005 Chevy Tahoe, I was so excited. But that excited was short lived, after I was hit and it went into the body shop, I found out that it was basically held together by bubble gum and duck tape and not one word the seller told me was true! The shop suggested I go to CarFax, to get a report to find out what was actually up with this truck. I had no idea what the heck they were talking about! So I did, and found out that the truck had been hit multiple times and was actually a total loss at one point! I also found that the mileage was way off! Boy, this would have been awesome had I known of this site before purchasing a lemon! I ended up looking for a new truck and believe me, I used CarFax to do my homework on every truck I looked at, before finding the right truck. I highly suggest that everyone looking for a car, be smart and use CarFax before buying to get the true history! CarFox rules!”

“Carfax is the only auto history report that I trust. I had found what I believed to be the perfect car -- low mileage, great price, and an auto history report. However, the history report was NOT from Carfax and showed a completely clean history. At the last moment I became nervous and required the dealer to provide a REAL Carfax report. The report showed a previous accident with structural damage to the vehicle. Moral of the story -- always request a genuine Carfax report. Thank you Carfax!”

“Everything I saw on CarFax matched the car. My only disappointment is that I have no service records on a 2008 Nissan Rogue. I had never dealt with the Dealer so I thought I would check Carfax. One thing I did not like was that Carfax used to be $19.99 and now it's doubled. Overall, I was very satisfied with Carfax. Steve Comnick”

“Bought a use car, had it inspected thew mechanic said it needed something for inspection that was recently replaced showed him the carfax said you want me to call the state police, he said no it's subject to interpretation I'll pass it for inspection”

“I was shopping to get another car for collecting and since I bought the unlimited package i was just fooling around and looked up my 40th anniversary corevtte convertible that I had bought about 15 years ago before the carfax became popular and so readiyl retreiveable. I was devastated as I found out that the collector car that I thought would be a good investment will no longer be worth anything as almost every warning was lit rwed on your carfax. It was in a collision and totaled. The engine was replaced and so was the transmission. The title was then scrubbed by the highly reputable collector car dealer that I bought it from as a all original numbers mathcing no issue car. it also has a waring on the odometer rollback as well. it shows the value of buying the report if I had it 15 years ago i never would have touched the car and now I am very comfortable with the Super Snake that I recenlty bought and nothing was an issue on the report. It is the cheapest insurance policy you can have for any car you want to buy!!!!!”
