“I WENT TO WASHINGTON STATE 1100 MILES AND FOUND THAT THIS VEHICLE HAD A BAD ACCIDENT AND WHAT YOU REPORT IS AN ACCIDENT BUT EVALUATION OF HOW BAD THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, THE REAR AXEL HOUSING HAD TO BE REPLACED AND THE BED AND THE TRUCK SHOWED ONLY A COUPLE THOUSAND MILES FROM NEVADA TO WASHINGTON FOR 8 YEARS OF USE AND AS I HAVE ALWAYS SAID YOUR REPORTS ARE ONLY AS GOOD AS THE LITTLE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE SO YOUR REPORTS ARE REALLY USELESS!!! IF I HAD KNOWN HOW BAD THE ACCIDENT HAD BEEN I WOULDN'T HAVE TRAVELED 2200 MILES TO PURCHASE THIS VEHICLE. PLUS THE SELLER WAS AN ABSOLUT LIAR !!!! STEVEN B COY”

“I was looking to purchase a 2004 Toyota Solara that had 129,000 miles on the odometer, the Carfax revealed that it was at 291,000 miles when the original owner sold it. Later the odometer was rolled back to 76,000 miles. The Carfax helped me understand the unsettling feeling I had about purchasing the vehicle due to odometer fraud. Thank you Carfax for accurate record keeping!”

“I bought an expensive Lexus car based on a clean Carfax report. Six months later the report was altered by Carfax saying it had been damaged five months prior to us buying the car. When we inquired, Carfax took a long time responding and when they did, they said they have no control over such reporting. Thousands of folks are relying on Carfax reports yet Carfax denies accountability.”

“We were already to increase our bid on a 2004 Suburban with only 50,500 miles! We were told that it was only used to get to Florida and back. HA! I checked CARFAX. Turns out the car was sold in Illinois, moved to Indiana, held for 30 days, sold and moved to Wisconsin AND the odometer was set back! The mileage should have been 350,500!! I ended up contacting our local authorities and what do you know, the Sub was removed from the auction. Buyer BEWARE! CARFAX is the best!”

“sent payment for a report on potential buy and apparently transposed a # in vid, received report for the wrong auto. immediately tried to contact and address problem and reach an agreement, have yet to hear from carfax months later.”

“Did not help. Purchased 1 owner 2006 Subaru Forester based off what we read on the car fax. Have had nothing but problems with the car. It has cost us over $2000.00 in repairs and have only driven the car 4 days in 2 months.”

“Carfax showed me that a car that was advertised with under 100,000 miles (and showed that on the odometer) actually had over 200,000 miles. Plus Carfax showed that it only ever had one owner so the seller knew and was being dishonest.”

“I bought a 2008 Scion tC Toyota and I had the suspicion that it was once involved in an accident noticing a oddity in the way the body panels are aligned. The air bags were not deployed and the car still looks nice. Car fax gave me a close estimate of the car value BUT lower than what the banks go by on NADA by about $1k. Oh well,I am very happy with the car and by paying it off it will boost my credit and lastly it's far better than the pile of junk GM I was driving. Thanks”
