“I was looking at a car and was thinking about buying it. The price seemed almost too good to be true. When I checked the cat on CarFax, it turns out that it had been involved in a flood and that wasn't disclosed by the seller. CarFax ended up saving me a ton of money and headache.”

“My husband was buying a truck from a coworker. He swore up and down that the vehicle had never been in a wreck, clean title. After seeing a few questionable bumps and bruises on the vehicle, we went ahead and got a car fax. Come to find out, it had 2 accidents! There were many excuses for this person not disclosing this information, however, thanks to carfax, people are forced to be honest! Thanks for saving us hundreds of dollars on this purchase!!!”

“Saved me numerous of times... You can’t trust any of these private sellers now adays, even some dealers. Carfax showed me a true background check from the date of first purchase. Gives you a great idea of what you are actually getting into!”

“I started looking at a nice 06 Cadillac. The CARFAX report showed a title problem and a little investigation showed that there was more owed on the car than it was worth. A NON- DEAL. I then found a Kia on a local dealer lot. The CARFAX report on it showed original service as a rental car, a long time between the sale by the rental company and the time I found it, and higher than average mileage. This gave me information to negotiate a very fair deal. I bought it and love it.”

“I bought a Jaguar XKR S convertible that had a clean AUTOCHECK , and apparently a clean Carfax at the time . The car was damaged prior to my purchase , and not reported by Carfax until 2 YEARS after that occurred .Not good.........”

“Carfax charged me way too much for my usage. I had a set price to look up so many cars for that price and they OVER charged me. The charges were $129.17 twice a month when the charge should've been 1 time a month. I was not looking at very many cars per month, I was way under my limit. I was able to use Carfax and buy my granddaughter a car. I tried to look up a 210 Honda Pilot using the vin number and no reports on it which made me suspicious and I did not buy the vehicle.”

“,I used CARFAX to verify the history of the used 2015 LEXUS I was wanting to buy from CarMax. CARFAX gave me a more detailed service history and even showed an undisclosed event where the front bumper sustained damage and was repaired at a dealership. We called the dealership but they would not disclose what the damage was. In the end, we decided that it was minor damage and did not affect the value of the vehicle. Thanks CARFAX! A great service!”

“I checked the CARFAX on a few cars that I was interested in. The reports were very helpful in showing me if there were any accidents on the vehicles I chose to look at. Once I was satisfied on a particular vehicle, we went and test drove it from an individual and bought it. Without the CARFAX reports, we may have purchased a damaged vehicle”

“I've used it twice, once to buy a vehicle, and once to sell a vehicle. It has become a 'Standard' when it comes to buying/selling a vehicle. When I shop, whether I'm serious or not, I always look for the Carfax logo.”

“I purchased a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 after checking Carfax and seeing the vehicle was 1 owner, low milage that was verified, had only been in a very minor accident with minor damage, with a full vehicle service history. I will pay for a full Carfax history report before my next purchase. I am confident in Carfax information.”

“After my car was totaled I had to find a replacement vehicle that was within budget of the insurance check I was receiving. I wanted to purchase a used car for the best value within a 100 mile radius. CARFAX helped me narrow down my best options, and they saved me from traveling over three hours to check on a car with a poor maintenance history! I did eventually travel two hours to purchase a vehicle, and it was the CARFAX record that sealed the deal!”

“I found a vehicle with lots of miles, but the CarFax report showed the previous owner had carefully maintained it with regular oil changes, transmission service, cooling system service, etc. When I read the report I knew the GMC YukonXL was a good value for the price.”
