“CarFax provided me with the comfort knowing the car had not been in a major accident or had any manufactures recalls. I bought the car from the individual after looking over all the issues from the time it left the showroom floor. What impressed me most was the small things like : Vehicle failed state vehicle emissions, then 10 days later : Vehicle passed state emissions testing. I can rest assured that the issue was found and resolved.”

“Because of Carfax I was able to purchase a used vehicle from a private owner with piece of mind. Carfax assured me that my 1999 Tacoma really was accident-free, with 2 previous owners and only 106,000 miles. I saw a similar vehicle, but the Carfax listed 6 accidents. I will never again shop for used vehicles without Carfax.”

“I checked Car Fax to find that my car was in a slight accident and only had one previous owner as the dealer had stated. I got the car and they threw in 12 month bumper to bumper warranty”

“The person selling the car said it was in perfect condition...no accidents, brand new transmission etc. I'm a single mother looking for a safe vehicle to commute to and geom work as well as drive my daughter to and from school. I don't know a trusted mechanic to go to and the information they can give me is limited on what he may be able to see. After looking up the carfax I discovered that the transmission had been changed 4x with the first time being months after it was newly purchased. It had been in accidents where the airbags deployed. It had a salvaged title and the price he was asking for was over the value of the car. Without carfax I would probably had believed him and bought the car. I would rather spend a little for a carfax than thousands on a car that i would later regret. Knowledge is power and carfax I feel I am informed decision! Thank you CARFAX!”

“I was looking for a Chev SSR, found one, a 2004 with 8800 miles. Pulled a CARFAX to check it out The Carfax was clean truck checked out on Carfax, millage was correct, inspections up to date. saw it bought it. my big concern was some of the claims in the ad, seemed to be to good to be true, . Carfax was accurate as always. Regards, Bill”

“I was buying a car from California sight unseen and shipping back to New Zealand. I needed an independant check to be done on the car to assure me it wasnt accident damaged, writen off or salvaged title. Carfax was perfect - it told me so much about the car including some of the service history. Will definately use again in the future if buy another US Vehicle.”

“Eventhough my '06 Camry was well-priced, the Buyer said the decision to buy my car over another cars was my offer to provide a full CARFAX report. She answered the ad, we met, she drove the car, I gave her a copy of the CARFAX, and she bought my car. The process took probably 30 minutes because my car was in good condition, and she relied faithfully on the CARFAX report.”

“I have NEVER used Car Fax before...after using you guys a couple of weeks ago, trying to get information on a work truck, we have a logging and tree service...I will definitely use Car Fax again.. We of course asked the seller about the history of the truck we did end up buying... and because we used Car Fax...we found the seller to be honest, and Car Far information right on....sure take the stress out of buying something that expensive.... “We were in the market for a Ford Excursion for our company. The car fax told us how many owners, confirmed miles and helped us make a very good purchase. We had to drive 400 miles to see this truck and would not have done so with out the car fax report.”

“We recently purchased a used 2009 Chevrolet 3500 Silverado from Toyota of Cleveland in Tennessee. The Carfax records seemed to be accurate as to the previous services and maintenance on the vehicle ,BUT what was VERY inaccurate was that the vehicle's previous 3 owners had listed "No Issues Reported and/or Indicated", which is clearly not the case. As per the most updated Carfax anyone can see we have had quite the maintenance record in the short period of time we have owned it. The truck still doesn't operate properly. We don't feel CarFax has wronged us as by any means, but the inaccurate reporting from the dealerships listed on the Carfax who have worked on the vehicle seems unethical and very inappropriate.”

“Hi, I have taken unlimited CAR fax plan. This seems to be good. But only catch is that the getting a CAR FAX with VIN number is limited to 5, which should be increased to 10. Paying 55$ is not a small amount and once a car is bought you are not going to see the CAR fax for next couple of years unless you need another car. So either reduce the price or increase the number of CAR fax with VIN. The car fax really helped me when I found a pretty good at first look with a very minimal price. I was almost finalizing the deal but suddenly CAR fax shown me that the car was Rebuilt. I immediately rejected the deal and saved my $. THANK YOU CAR FAX. I got another CAR with a clean car fax.”

“Honestly, I tried CarFax for the first time to find out a little more info on an older Mercedes that I was considering purchasing, specifically trying to verify the mileage. Unfortunately, CarFax had next to nothing on this car regarding accidents, repairs, or mileage. I don't regret the money spent. I just wish that I could have obtained a little more data.”

“Recently I was looking for my finance dream car. It was honda accord 03 had only 115,000 miles on it asking price $6500. Wow great price. I saw carfax commercial about fraud. I decide give it a try. Wow I'm so glad I did. Found out the car's mileage had been changed. I had ask dealer if there been any mileage adjustment he quickly denied knowing anything about the situation. Even though when he bought car from auction already had 212,000 miles listed. Claim that had two same cars with same vin number. Thanks carfax saving me from a huge rip off.”
