“Honestly, I tried CarFax for the first time to find out a little more info on an older Mercedes that I was considering purchasing, specifically trying to verify the mileage. Unfortunately, CarFax had next to nothing on this car regarding accidents, repairs, or mileage. I don't regret the money spent. I just wish that I could have obtained a little more data.”

“Recently I was looking for my finance dream car. It was honda accord 03 had only 115,000 miles on it asking price $6500. Wow great price. I saw carfax commercial about fraud. I decide give it a try. Wow I'm so glad I did. Found out the car's mileage had been changed. I had ask dealer if there been any mileage adjustment he quickly denied knowing anything about the situation. Even though when he bought car from auction already had 212,000 miles listed. Claim that had two same cars with same vin number. Thanks carfax saving me from a huge rip off.”

“I was thinking of buying a car in a city a couple hours away. However, before I made the trip to go check out the car I decided to check out the car on Car Fax and found that the car had been totaled 3 times!! Car Fax really saved the day!”

“Bought a used odyssey van with 189,000 miles on it. These are noted to have bad transmissions and even though it looked clean, I wanted to see maintenance records. Car Fax gave me it's history and dealership s were it was serviced. I bought it feeling good knowing it's been cared for.”

“I used CARFAX when looking for cars for our boys. Once we found a car that they were interested in I did a look-up on CARFAX. The first car we bought was an 86 Nissan 200SX, before looking at the car we found out it was the original owner, no issues, no wrecks and all maintenance done. The other we settled on was a 92 Honda Prelude, now this one showed the car failed emissions several times over the history of the car. With this I pulled the codes from the car to see the current issue was and it had also been in 1 minor accident. Now we went through a lot of cars before getting the Prelude and some had been in multiple accidents, some had changed hands a lot (thinking it might be a lemon). CARFAX made it a lot easier to know upfront at least some if not all of the history of the car. People do not want you to take their car to a mechanic and have it checked, but this is a great thing if you can. So CARFAX to me is my second mechanic opinion.”

“I'm upset with Car Fax, because I clicked on the third option plan, and soon as I clicked on my choice which was the third option they switched my option to the second option which was not my choice. it allows you to perform 2 car faxes within a months time. I would never agree to that since I was searching for new cars for my family. I paid over $50 dollars for two searches, which was their choice. It was the old bait and switch.”

“I was trying to sell my 2007 Saturn Sky (my baby) to an interested buyer that I knew would take care of her. He made an offer that I accepted with the condition that I provide a clean Carfax. Not only was it clean but it showed a total value slightly above his offer. Carfax sealed the deal!!!”

“Using the CARFAX service is just as important in helping to make a buy decision as it is in helping to make the decision to not buy a particular vehicle. For example, I was looking to buy a used Mercedes E350. I obtained a CARFAX report which I had in hand when I went to inspect the vehicle in question. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the CARFAX report was accurate in every detail. Because of this, I knew I could make a decision based a facts provided by a reputable third party and did not have to rely on the sales pitch of an over zealous used car sales person. It is difficult to describe in words the confidence, comfort and peace this afforded me. In addition, because the CARFAX data was so complete and accurate, I was much better able to gauge the veracity of the salesman. I had never used CARFAX before, but I would certainly use it in the future. And I have already recommended its use to my daughter, grandchildren and friends. Thank you CARFAX”

“CARFAX did not give me a choice of either using VIN # or plate #, when almost all cars that were listed gave VIN #. I was cheated out of my money by paying $54.99 for only 2 cars.”

“I have been using Carfax for the last two cars that I bought. I has help me a lot finding the histories about the cars, especially my last one because I found a car that was a 1 owner car with a low mileage. Thanks to Carfax because I am really happy with my last car and the price that I paid for it was reasonable. Thank you Carfax”

“Hello, I happened to come across a used 2012 STI Limited with low miles with every available option that I wanted. Even after a test drive I was sure that there was no way this car didn't have a prior accident or other issue. I waited for what seemed like ages for the Carfax to print. Finally as I was handed the page and met with nothing but good results. I was then off to sign for the car. Thank you Carfax.”

“I was in the market for a Porsche Boxster and I utilized Carfax to make sure that the description the seller was providing was factual. As it turns out, the seller was very honest and upfront and his description matched what Carfax had listed, which was a vehicle that had no accidents. Carfax also confirmed the number of previous owners and maintenance records. Kudos to Carfax.”

“I bought a vehicle by dealer (2010 Chevrolet Suburban 1GNUKKE37AR140657) and he said it's clean and no accident, after checked by carfax it showed to me involving right front impact with a hit a ditch. Many thanks carfax and i'm so happy to continue with us.”
