“I knew that I wanted a 2011-2013 VW Touareg in brown, blue or black. I began searching on my own, but also went through the Costco buyer program for assistance from a local dealer. They located and offered to ship a car from the midwest for me, but something felt off. I'd already located what I thought was a good deal from the west coast. The more I hesitated, the harder the dealer pushed. I ordered five carfax reports and boy am I glad that I did. The car they wanted me to purchase was a commercial vehicle from Illinois and was being sold in Missouri. A little more research, and I was pretty sure I didn't want to risk road salt damage. The car that I found, was a single owner car, originally shipped to a dealer in my state who traded to the next state north, regularly maintained at the dealership where it was purchased, and if it did go to a road salt state, it was only to visit. Fired the dealer who tried to push the other car on me, and brought home my beautiful toffee brown metallic Touareg. Love this car! Won't be buying another car for a while, but if I do, I'll get the Carfax first.”

“In May I was in search of a reliable used car for my daughter. I checked out several cars found on advertisements and at dealerships. In 4 out of 5 reports, although the sellers represented that the vehicle had no issues, CarFax showed me details such as accident reports, salvaged and/or problems with the title and in a couple cases, had been previously owned by rental agencies. Needless to say, CarFax was priceless and invaluable in giving me peace of mind when it came time to making my purchase.”

“CarFax worked quickly and easily to verify the vin numbers that I needed to check. The only concern that I had was you can only check 5 vins with the package that I bought, but unlimited license plates. I was lucky enough to only need to check 3 vins before I found the right car to buy so I am a happy customer.”

“In 2013 I bought a 2003 silvrado 1500 the truck looked great so the dealer showed me some other report and it said there was no problems no accidents then I went to sell my truck in 2014 and run a car fax and I find out it has been in a accident side impact hit a fixed object no air bag deployment so nown I wish I had checked the car fax ... trust the fox he just might save you from havoc !”

“Found a cute convertible that looked fine in the ad and why would the young girl have anything to hide, she said she just needed something bigger to statr a fanily? So I asked for the license number which was mysteriously absent from the photos of her car. Long story shortt; four owners accident with airbags deployed, mileage discrepancy and sout of state plates. No thanks! Carfax saved my bacon on that one, and I love my bacon! Thanks Carfax (CarFox)!”

“I was looking to buy a used Pontiac Firebrd and since they're all so, I came to Firefox to look up their historys. If it weren't for Firefox, I would have purchased a Firebird for around $7000. Looked in good condition, but got into a crash and needed major repairs. I would definitely using Firefox to others before buying a used car.”

“We always dread when it is time to buy a new car. We started the process and we were searching for the right car for about a month. We had forgotten about Carfax since we hadn't bought a car for so long but we are so grateful that we remembered it! We bought the unlimited month plan and found our perfect car on the second report we ran! We are so glad we checked the first car's history because it had been totaled 3 times, one of them being a "total loss", plus the odometer had been rolled back. The car we bought ended up having 9 previous owners but other than that the title is completely clean. It was so worth the small expense to have the piece of mind that our investment is a safe one and there won't be any surprises down the road. Thank you Carfax!”

“I was buying a 3rd family car that will eventually become my newly driving daughter's first car. We had seen (and LOL'd) at the CARFAX commercials SO much that I came up with about 50 more ideas for funny Show Me The CARFAX commercials. I would text ideas to my daughter and we shared many more laughs! But when I started to seriously research cars, it became clear how important a good CARFAX report actually was...as there are lots of salvage titled cars out there. I was MUCH more comfortable buying from a private party knowing the car we decided on had a good CARFAX history! But the FUNNY story doesn't end there... When my wife and I went to register the car, we decided to get new license plates...which were randomly issued to us with the letters "FAX". I immediately sent a photo of the plates to my daughter and said here is our new Car FAX. And that's what we affectionately call the car now: CarFAX! True Story...Too Funny :-)”

Running it through CarFax confirmed that it had an 'exceptional history', and showed a positive price adjustment. I immediately knew that while this was the highest priced XK8 CV for its age, it was well worth it. We have put over 2k miles on it, and could not be more pleased with it.”

“I'm very happy I checked the car fax. I was about to buy a slightly older Chevrolet. I noticed what looked like a small amount of painted over rust near the wheel well. I decided to run a carfax just to see what comes up. I discovered it was originally from Missouri and spent most of it's life there.(where it already had 4 previous owners.) Where I live in AZ, there is no snow or road salt so cars rarely rust. I decided to look underneath the car when I went back for a second look and I noticed the frame was rusted out. I ran away from tht deal!”
