“I live a fair distance from the dealership and so I got as much information over the phone as I could, then went to Carfax.com. I live in the States but found that the car originated in Canada. Oh no! I thought the dashboard would show kilometers first, miles second. Gas in liters rather than gallons. So called the dealership again and they reassured me that it was a US dashboard. It was nice to have the history of the car from Carfax.com. I purchased it.”

“Been looking for cars that have been in California their whole lives. CarFax is really nice to have every state they are registered in along with the collision and service reports. I feel like I'm shopping with my eyes closed without it! Paul”

“I was looking to purchase a 2002 Avalanche for $5000 that had 129k miles on it . It was a great price for the truck and it drove out nice but something seemed strange .I wrote down the vin and I told the seller I would get back with him the next morning . I came home and purchased CAR FAX and am so very glad I did , this 129k miles had been 142k miles back in 2008 , not good . I didn't know you could turn back a digital odometer . I learned that it could be done but that wasn't the case . The entire dashboard with the cluster had been changed . CAR FAX saved me $5000 . After that if I could not get the information from the seller to run a CAR FAX I didn't even go look at it .THANKS CARFAX !!!”

“I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Raptor from a used car dealer of all places. Buying a vehicle is a risky inevitable part of our adult lives that we all have to make. Nevertheless, when buying a used car from an unknown dealer, one has to take extra safety precautions, which is why I obtained a car report from Carfax. Carfax made that car purchase a pleasant one by giving me the needed confidence. So far I am extremely happy with the purchase of my truck and enjoying every mile of it.”

“I was looking to buy a truck at an auction online. Bids seemed kind of low so I checked Carfax and found that the truck had been a write off at some point. Can't afford not to have Carfax. Saved me from making a huge mistake.”

“I was extremely impressed with the detail of Carfax's history reports. I recently purchased a new Chevy and I coudn't have found the right one without checking the vehicles history through Carfax. Previous dealers had tried to tell me their car was never in an accident by showing me their version of a history report. It was only when i searched the vin through Carfax that I could actually see that every vehicle had at least one serious collision. I was eventually able to find one free and clear of any incidents. Thank you Carfax for helping me find my perfect first new car!”

“Carfax saved me from buying a Honda Pilot that had been in two accidents. One of these accidents deployed the air bags. I decided to check the Carfax the very morning I was going to march into the dealership and buy the thing. I was ready to go $3000 over my budget and finance it, like an idiot. Also, I checked the Carfax prior to purchasing the car I did end up with (a Mercury Monterey mini-van) and it was dead clean. Carfax is worth every penny you spend on it.”

“I've had a 1993 Corrado for 15yrs. Unfortunately, it was involved in some accident(S) prior to my purchase. I finally was ready to replace it with another 93-94 Corrado. I looked for months. Carfax helped me sort the maybes into possibles and "no's". I finally found one 1900miles away in NJ. I flew there, owner picked me up, I inspected it, test drove it, and traded cashier's check for the keys. I drove it all the way back to CO...with no issues. Remarkable for a 22yr old car. Thanks CarFax!”

“I was going to buy a 2004 Toyota Camry thats was listed to have 125,000 miles. I got the CARFAX and found out that the Ododmeter had been tampered with!!! That saved me from buying a Lemon!!!!! Thank you CARFAX”

“I had 2 16-year old, an 18-year old and 23-year old grandchildren looking for cars within the last couple of months. Of course, they are not looking in the new car market with the limited financing available. Carfax was the deciding factors in each case for the 'best' car for each. It helped to weed out some questionable buys, and floated some exceptional ones to the top of the pile. (It also helped in deciding the best price for each as well.) In the future, when the next group of grandchildren are looking for their first cars, I will definitely use this service again. Thank you.”

“Carfax was instrumental in me NOT buying two cars and in easily making the decision to buy another. I was able to determine the car that I bought was a good a deal as the ownership and history was exactly how the seller had represented it - unlike the 2 other cars I had considered buying. “When I found a used car with low miles that I could afford on Craigslist it seemed too good to be true. The explanation I received for low miles was the little old lady story. My stepdad suggested I get a CARFAX report. Through yearly inspections the miles were not only accounted for by highlighted as low and I received a CARFAX guarantee! My friend's can't believe what a great deal I got and I bought with confidence from the second owner being able to trace my car's history back to what had to have been a little old lady first owner. I could not be happier with support I got from CARFAX.”
