Bought a bed frame fron Cramlington store. Nowhere was it mentioned by either staff in store or on the website that this was self assembly. Don't mind attaching a couple of pieces but object to building the whole bed. Feel very let down. Very disappointing.

Carpetright failed to turn up to fit floor covering despite telling me several times within the day that the work would be completed. Basically you cannot believe a word they say and customer service is non existent, they just ignore phone calls, emails and basically take the view we have your money so we will fit the flooring when we are ready. Poor service company with inexperienced sales who just dont understand the concept of honesty with a customer.

Carpetright Whetstone .. bad experience ! I bought some vinyl for bathroom floor .. they couldn't fit on the fitting date as it got lost in transit .The second time they sent the wrong colour ! I asked for a refund for fitting which they agreed to .. 6 days later still waiting .. needless to say I won't be using them again

My mother recently had her carpet fitted by CarpetWright, the Carpet Fitter was rude to my mum regarding the removing of the remnants of the underlay and excess of carpet. When she asked him if he could remove this He then responsed by being snappy and saying you haven't paid for that, when in fact on ordering that service wasn't offered to her, which baring in mind my mum lives only with my younger sister, so now they have the difficulty of removing this themselves. It would have been nice for him to offer for a charge to take it away, but he was just rude about it and left it with her. Very disappointed in the customer service of one of your employees, and as I can see from your ratings it is a regular occurrence.

We went to the Oldham Store on Saturday with the intention of placing an order. Dealt with this lady who couldn't add up properly even with the use of a calculated and also wanted to automatically add over 30% wastage onto our order - over 12msq. Anyway we arranged for somebody to come and measure up. Got a few phonecalls from a 'gentleman' at the same branch that day arguing that they needed to add that wastage on. Over and over again my partner said that he would agree the actual quantities when they came to measure so what is the point in having this discussion at this point in time. Also it would take 40 days unless we paid an extra £50 for speedy delivery. On and on and on this idiot went on also saying we needed to pay £100 for somebody to come measure up though this was not mentioned in store. To cut a long story short we went to a local carpet suppliers and fitters and arranged for somebody to come on monday to measure up and we will have the carpet fitted within 7 days. We don't pay for delivery - we get a miles better carpet substantially cheaper, cheaper fitting costs and don't pay £19.99 for carpet spray. Lesson learned : stay away from big retail parks with greedy salespeople only interested in commission. Royton Carpets = better option.

Dealt with Bodmin Cornwall store-1st time used CR for a bedroom carpet they had to replace it as massive line in it that would not Hoover out! Thought give them another go for stairs and landing done a good job but fitters never turned up till after 7pm and my neighbours didn't appreciate the hammering and banging well past 9pm! Thought 3rd time lucky get them to do another bedroom and day before due to be fitted they cancel blaming fitters quit! As of yet bearing in mind already waited 4 weeks for carpet to be fitted they have no idea when they will be coming! Will deff not be using again for sure!!

The contractor that Carpetright sent to fit my carpet let them down badly. They missed the first installation appointment which meant I wasted a day at home waiting for a fitter that never arrived. Then on the second installation appointment the fitter hit a nail through an aluminium plate and into the central heating pipework. Water everywhere and an expensive plumber visit to fix. Afterwards, Carpetright refused to contribute towards the plumber costs. This is disgraceful considering I wasted an unpaid day at home waiting for a fitter and then spent a couple hundred pounds for a plumber to fix a problem caused by a careless fitter supplied by Carpetright. This was the branch in Old Kent Rd, London.

Arranged measurement of a property and took the day off to meet them. End of the allocated time slot arrived and still no word from anybody, called Carpetright who said they'd check and get back to me and again, didn't hear anything. How hard is it to respect your customers and not waste their time?

Dishonest salesman telling us lies about prices. Make your own assessment of the quality of the carpets... Don't trust what they tell you, as they'll say anything to get you to buy.

Ordered a laminated flooring for 3 bedrooms and landing. The work has been rescheduled twice and the fitter could not finish the jobs as the estimator did not order enough material. I have been waiting 3 weeks for the job to be completed and every day Carpet Right comes up with a new excuse. Poor service and worst customer service possible.

Purchase of Carpet /underlay full fitting etc all fine money taken there and then. . However, goods came from their warehouse badly damaged. So not delivered or Fitted. . Now I've had no carpet from Carpet Right, but they do not appear to want to pay any of my £479.42 back to me despite lots of promises and visits to store. Nothing, Even offered a Free carpet !, but when we said great it meant we couldn't have the refund. . So not so Free. Lies and side steps will soon end in court action. Carpet WRONG. I Have now purchased elsewhere,

Had carpet fitted today. The two men fitting the carpet were reluctant to move items out of the room. I ended up helping them to do it. They then fitted the carpet, did not vacuum, left a mess of carpet fluff from the front door, up the stairs and in the bathroom. They did not put the items back into the room, which left the landing full of heavy items, blocking the passage to the bedroom. My partner is 35weeks pregnant and could not get into our bedroom to have a rest. The service was terrible.

Awful experience from Carpetright store in Penge. Paid more than 2K for a carpet and after payment had to wait 3.5 months for the fitting to be finished. Had to call the store and customer services at least 15 times to chase with so many empty promises of call backs. No offer of a good will gesture for my bad experience, only excuse after excuse (none of which were my fault in anyway). I would never write a bad review, even after waiting 3.5 months, if only they called back when they said they would and were friendly, instead their manner was very abrupt and dismissive. I will never go near their store again, in hindsight I would of rather paid much more and saved myself the time, energy and upset.

Andover store. This company are totally dishonest. An estimator came, we had a long chat about our floor as its not your standard square room. He said tiles would need to come up etc. The quote was accepted. Time taken off work and the job booked. Nobody got in touch to say what time the fitter would come so I called them and queried them saying it only needed an afternoon time slot (the estimator had said all day); on the day I called again to give directions and again queried how they would take up tiles, lay ply and lay flooring in a few hours, the response was "they can do it much quicker than we could". When the fitters came, it became obvious the response should have been "they can't and actually CR don't even do these sort of jobs and so you never should have been quoted and we never should have taken your money". I have no issue with the fitters, not their fault-all the wrong materials etc had been ordered by CR and so they could not have done the work even had they the time. On speaking to the store, no apology for the total mess was offered (if you get irritated and basically demand one you get a kind of half-hearted throw away apology eventually). I quickly said we wanted a full refund, even then they try to get you to spend money with them by taking the supplies from them but you dealing with the fitter direct. Anyone who can use google knows that the flooring we wanted is £5psqm more from them and their glues etc are about double the average. More to the point, the reason you go to CR is so you don't have to trawl around fitters. As we used a credit card, the added insult is I can't even pay cash back into our savings account when the refund comes through. Not quite as insulting however, as when you mention this they start talking to you about fraud and money laundering when what they should say (customer service course day 1) is, "I really am very sorry but sadly we have to refund it to the card used" (which obviously I understand and know to be the case). So; they book jobs they shouldn't, take your money, cause you to loose leave days, mess up, don't apologise and still try to retain some cash when really all you need is a barge poll and a don't touch sign.
