Friendly staff, looked fab and even had an ice cream van. John Drummond was excellent and kept in touch through the process, even sending me a video message which was seriously cool. I trusted John so much that I purchased the car without viewing it as it was in the workshop. Already recommended to my daughter who came in to the store to discuss potential car. Really happy about service.

Perfect service by salesman but the gentleman that deals with trade in values offered horrendous price for car that I was trading in and tried to tell me that there was problems with it when I know there was none. Having served over 9years in the motor trade and the fact the car was only 18months old I was well aware of the cars value and state.Had we not wanted the car we bought then I would of happily walked away. for a family business that wants to attract customers back based on the best value and not solely financial gain, a £2000 difference between trade in and resale cost shows me that it is indeed just a money based business. New car came with one key, (promised 2) and it seems that the full service history etc is lies as only one stamp in the service book, not to mention the multipoint check, soft tyres on collection, rattling exhaust shield, grinding brakes on rear and SRS light came on within 1st week. £15300 in the bank, get the car out the door as quick as possible it seems

No mats in the car so had to buy some. £200 because I didn't have the up to date v5. Hand in the up to date v5 and no £200. Going to have to go in and get my money back. Just standard car dealer wouldn't trust then to walk my dog.

Made very welcome on arrival. Plenty of time and space to roam around the cars for a look without any hassle, but always people around to answer questions when required. Nothing was too much trouble, test drives, finding out details relating to specific models etc etc. Salesman was very friendly and pleasant. Open and honest about reasons for trade in price for previous car and did his best to get me a good deal. (including trying to closely match that of another dealer id already visited). Very good facilities for families and children. However, when initially showing interest in purchasing a vehicle (sat26th/sun27th nov) I made it clear to both the salesman and the girl completing all the finance that I would be unable to collect the car until late the following week (thurs1st/fri2nd dec) due to hectic work committments. They said this was no problem. Following the implementation of the finance and completion of all the necessary information I received several phonecalls from the salesman. These phonecalls were throughout the day monday, tuesday and wednesday. All of these days I was very busy at work with meetings, travel to and from aberdeen for more work meetings and deadlines which had to be met. In the initial phonecall I was requested to pick up the car before wednesday to which I said would be almost impossible with my schedule. A further phonecall requested again that I come in after work, they would even stay late if required on the wednesday. I stated wednesday wasn't possible as following my meetings in aberdeen tuesday I was staying overnight in glasgow city centre and straight to work on wednesday morning, therefore would not have the trade in car with me. I also wasn't returning home wednesday evening until around 10pm due to work commitments and therefore really couldn't manage to pick it up. I then received a further phonecall that the salesman could come to my work to pick up the keys to my audi (trade in), drive to my house (at least 30 miles from the showroom) and swap the cars over for me. I stated no because there was nobody at home to hand over the servicing documents etc and extra keys for the trade in car and I also had personal items in the car which would need removed and I wasn't happy for somebody else to do that without supervision. Salesman stated the documents could be handled later etc and I still said no as I was uncomfortable with the situation. I then recieved a further call asking me to 'really try and do them a favour and figure out a way in order to swap the cars over for them'. Again I stated even if i wanted to help, it really in these circustances wasn't possible. All in all I received many phonecalls asking me to do things which I had stated right from the word go were not possible. One request from the garage was no problem. Two at a push was acceptable, however everything beyond was completely unacceptable in my view and caused me unneccesary stress. It was very clear to me that this was all with the aim of meeting/exceeding monthly targets for November. I work in a client focused project management job in the engineering industry which is also very target based in terms of charge-ability at the end of each month and therefore I understand the desire to meet targets. However, if a client tells me no in no uncertain terms once or twice then I know it's time to draw the line. When picking up the car (on the friday 2nd dec) I asked to speak to the salesman and voiced my concerns. I also explained to him that I felt from his tone and manner in the calls that the pressure was being put on him from above. (he clearly felt awkward/harassed at having to call me so many times when I'd said no). In my initial dealings with him and through the finance application etc we had talked and he was aware that personally at this moment I am under a huge amount of stress through both work and personal circumstances. He personally apologised for causing more stress by constantly calling when I was trying to focus on my work and all the other things I'm dealing with. I was trading in my car through choice because I wanted to be sensible and downgrade and save money on monthly payments. I had zero desire and no financial need in all honesty to get rid of my audi tt and at several points was very close to walking away from the deal because of the hassle i received. The marketing information for peter vardy carstore, displayed in your own showroom states 'we will not hassle you when buying a car, imagine that'. As I sat waitin to pick up my car this made me laugh at the irony. I believe this statement to be true of the salesmen who are customer facing. However this doesn't seem to translate upwards to the management in the offices who don't have to deal directly with the customer personally. Your salesman was aware very much of pushing me too far but his boss was obviously oblivious/ignorant to the effect this could have had. Was it really worth pushing a customer so hard to meet a November sales target when it almost led to them walking away? This aspect was very disappointing and although I would recommend peter vardy carstore to others I will be very honest about my experiences if i am asked. Kind Regards, Jayne

The whole experience was great from start to finish! buying a car for me is a pretty daunting thought but all the staff especially Craig my sales person made me feel relaxed and an important customer, if the after sales is as good as the sale I would definately recommend Peter Vardi to friends and would gladly return for my next car.
