Experience was not as expected from a large national company, in fact it was a shambles and a disgrace. Initial call went well, I paid my deposit of £49, sales person was okay until he decided to increase the admin fee from £169 to £499 because I didn't take out your very expensive finance (he forgot this later in the conversation and reverted to the £169). I arrived in Glasgow (from Edinburgh) on Saturday 8th May as arranged to take delivery - the car wasn't ready and in fact there was no record that I was going to collect plus the handover person was on holiday. I drove home in my own car after which was a complete waste of the Saturday morning. The car was to be delivered to my home address later that week (which it was). I then wasted two hours of Saturday afternoon trying to get through to my car insurers to amend the policy back to what is was - another waste of time caused by your handover team. I checked your website and the car was still available for sale - someone had taken the reserved note off. On Monday 3rd May I received a call from your employee to advise me there was finance o/s on my Mokka - there wasn't and to cut a very long story short your handover team had carried out the HPI check on the wrong car! This then led me to having to call Arnold Clark, Stirling where I had bought the Mokka from and demand they explain why they sold me a car with o/s finance on it. When I asked if the search was done on the correct car your handover team said they had made a mistake! Finally your handover team tried to charge me £20 for fuel despite me getting a full tank - free. The only person from Peter Vardy who came out with any credit is Niall Murphy who took ownership and eventually resolved things and got the car delivered. I'd welcome your response but am not optimistic based on my experience so far. Martin. Delivery marked as not on time as it wasn't even available the first time I tried to collect.

My overall opinion of Peter vardy was very poor. I bought through head office sales or at least thats what I was told. The attitude I received when I said I was taking a bank loan out instead of finance was shocking. After this the sales rep never returned any calls. I then was told my car was ready to be picked up at 1pm I was then left waiting in the showroom till 3 pm before anyone spoke to me and was told it will be 10 minutes. I drove out the showroom at 5.15pm. During the time in the showroom my brother saw a car he like but was put off by the service he mentioned this to the hand over team to there reply was its ok we have loads of stupid people who buy from us. I would give this whole experience a 0 of I could.

I would like to start by saying Fiona at your head office has been outstanding! She has answered all my queries in a timely manner and I cannot fault anything with her! However, I have had multiple issues with the branch. I was initially called in to view the car I was purchasing on the Monday and was informed on arrival instead of called before hand to say my car wasn’t available to view as the photographer had taken the keys away with him. I was then told by Krista that I could drive another N-connecta in branch, which I test drove. I called Fiona straight away after leaving to be informed I had drove a tekna and was given a full tank of fuel for the inconvenience caused. I then went back the following day to see the car i was purchasing and Krista informed me the brake pads had been fixed that day and all that was left to do was the dent in the drivers door along with the few marks on the bonnet and this was followed up with the question of when I would like to pick it up. I asked when the earliest would be and was informed Thursday. We agreed 11am. I came in at 11am and Krista came over at 11.05 to say my car was coming out the wash and being valeted and she would check on this for me. I sat in the waiting area for around an hour and 15 mins before I went outside for some fresh air and as I came back in at 12.20 Krista was at the front waiting on another customer. I asked her what was happening with my car and her response was “has no one from handover spoke to me yet?” Which I replied no. She said she would find out and come back to me. I then waited a further 30 minutes and went to the front desk and Gillian at the front desk was amazing! She got a handover manager to talk to me and I was advised my car wouldn’t not be ready till the 25th (Sunday). I was extremely irate at this point as no one had informed me of this and he proceeded to tell me that my name was not on the handover list today. He spoke to the workshop and they had said they need to replace the brake pads?! I was told this was done on the Tuesday! The handover manager managed to put my car as a priority and got me booked in for the following day at 3pm. I phoned Fiona after leaving Peter Vardy and expressed how upset and I angry I was after expressing it in store and she advised me Krista had sent an email at 12pm to say there was a problem with the car, why didn’t Krista tell me this whilst i was in branch? I collected the car the following day and there was a few scratches which they sorted and off I went. I did an 80 mile journey that day and on that journey my tyre pressure light came on and it has been on and off ever since. I booked it in with the branch for this problem and took it in yesterday to be fixed, low and behold the tyre pressure light came back on today and the tyres look fine! I use Peter Vardy because 4 years ago it was the BEST service I had ever received! It has went so downhill I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use that branch again! I am waiting on a Miller and Carter voucher which I’ve been told if going to be emailed to me but still nothing and that is 2 weeks. Honestly, after everything that had happened I feel I should be given more for the inconvenience and 1 weeks annual leave spent in your branch for no reason!

I would not buy a car from this branch again! I took delivery of my car but it did not come as described. I was told it had a service history and would have a brand new MOT; it came with no service history and 3 months MOT! However the major issue I have with this branch is that I could not get hold of anyone to discuss these issues and get them sorted out. If I had seen some form of decent customer service and aftercare I would probably have kept the car but I refuse to give money to a company that misleads their customers and offers no after sales service! It’s a place like this that give second hand car salesmen a bad name!

Was told all 4 wheels where refurbished which there was only 2 done and there was 4 small dents in my car when I inspected it in the day light. No service book and book pack with the car and aswell as no service history with the vehicle which I was told the car comes with some service history all in poor service wouldn't buy again from carz very poor and to top it off the paint feels like it needs a good polish

Customer services are terrible, collection day was pushed for the end of the month which resulted in around 20+ people waiting to collect their cars at months end. Waited for an hour before I was able to prepare my paperwork, poor ability to prioritise as I was buying cash and did not require going through the finance (which was slowing the process), when I was finally seen I was rushed through the process and as a result did not get my promised SD card for my car and did not notice that my tank only had 2 miles of petrol in it despite the £25 charge for fuel. We also noted that the breaks had a considerable lip however were told that they were fine, they will need to be changed in about 6 months

Horrible experience at the Hillington branch, handover team incompetent and lazy. I had enquired about the car through the Aberdeen office, was dealing with a Val who was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries, unfortunately the same can’t be said for the hand over team at Hillington. The handover team got in contact with me to let me know that they now had all the information they needed to proceed in the handover process, there was an issue with sending some documents over electronically so we agreed that I would come in and sign them, which was fine as I work in Glasgow so wasn’t a major inconvenience. I was then booked in for picking up my car on Friday 23rd, again all good and I was happy with the service I had received so far. Then things started taking a turn for the worse, I received a call on Friday around 13:00 saying that I wouldn’t be able to pick my car up as a engine light had came on even though it had apparently had all its checks prior to that. I asked that the handover team keep me updated with what’s happening and requested that they call me Saturday to do so. I didn’t receive a single phone call over the weekend. I called Monday to see what was happening and when finally getting through they couldn’t give me an update apart from it’s at BMW. Bare in mind this is a car I was about to pay 360 pound a month for so I really need some more information, or if they didn’t have that just the courtesy of a phone call. On the Monday I again requested that they call me back to give me an update the next day, again no call back. So I had to take the time to chase them up, and as it turns out I had to do that again and again because this went on the entire week, on the Thursday night I got a phone call from what I can only guess was the hand over team who then passed me through to the reception desk once I answered the phone without saying a word then when they tried to put me back through they were apparently on the phone. The response or lack of I was getting from the handover team was extremely disappointing and I had lost any hope of having a sensible conversation with any of them. When I finally received a call from the handover team on Friday they told me that the car was ready, no real explanation of why it had to be in the BMW garage for a full week which I also requested but because I was tired of having to push them to do their own jobs I didn’t press the matter any further. I asked if I could get booked in that evening to pick the car up and was told they were fully booked and couldn’t fit me in, again disappointing as they were aware of the situation they had put me in through the week. Anyway we agreed that I would come in Saturday morning to pick the car up which turned out to be a total disaster as well. When arriving I was told that they had spelt my name wrong on some documents, even though they took my drivers licence with them when preparing them and had my email address on the forms spelt correctly. The car was brought to the front of the car park so I could see it as I hadn’t yet and when looking at it I could see the car was not clean inside or out, I was then asked if I was booked in to pick my car up yet, confused I asked if he was joking and told him about the situation and to his credit he seemed to get things sorted out pretty quickly from there (this was an Alan from the showroom). Not entirely sure what could have happened here, surely the handover team wouldn’t book me in and not tell the garage to prepare the car? This is an example of the incompetence I mentioned above. I was also meant to get car mats which were no where to be seen and on further inspection when I got home I found that the front lower light is popping out it’s bracket (see photos attached), not sure how this got past your stringent checks but can you please have someone contact me to discuss ASAP. Overall the experience was really poor and I will certainly not be returning.

No point in phoning because they don’t always answer the phone, received the car eventually on Saturday, first stop Halfords to get windscreen wipers, how this got through there quality control after being serviced by them who knows ? For a full and frank review, please feel free to look at trustpilot where over 150 people have read it. There has been no offer of any free services or mot or any means of compensation for the amount of hassle I have had from your company, it has actually taking the shine of buying a car and I will guarantee that I WILL NOT ever buy a car from this company again.

Took two weeks to complete car sale, poor communication, unable to speak to advisors when you call despite leaving umpteen messages. Eventually car was due to be delivered but their driver had broken down so was unable to deliver. They couldnt find another driver in their full peter vardy fleet. Cancelled purchase of car and bought one with Arnold Clark. In one hour everything was completed and to collect tomorrow. Shocking customer service and will not be recommending to family or friends! I will never use or consider using Peter vardy again!!! Wouldn’t even give one star! I have never had to chase a garage to buy a car!

Appalling service from Peter Vardy. I drove for 1hr and 30 mins to purchase a car. I asked if I could pick up the car on Tuesday (4th May), however I was told I must pick it up on Monday (3rd May) - there was no negotiations on this. I waited 50 mins in the waiting area, only to be told that I won’t be receiving the car today as it needs valeted. I was then shown pictures of my new car. Which was dirty, covered in dog hair and a disgrace. It appeared to me that I was never going to take the car away that day, so I wonder why I was told to come to Peter Vardy today. It was a wasted journey, a waste of a rare day off and a waste of money. I will not be purchasing from Peter Vardy. Appalling service and treatment.

I have never in my life dealt with such cowboys. Avoid this place at all costs no wonder the place is like a rave trying to distract from all the angry customers at service compaining about faulty cars. I was sold a faulty car and when I say faulty I mean the brakes failed and I nearly came out of a junction with my daughter in the car. I had the car one day and took it straight back to be told by Sharon I could not return the car ... I was told by 5 different people including managers and mexhanics and Julie Ray there was nothing wrong with the car. I gave the keys back and all of a sudden get a call to say I was right all along there is a major fault. Lies upon lies with them they so not care as long as they get a sale I will be taking this to the media and not letting this go. DO NOT buy from this place I have had 3 faulty cars now. Gemma

Worst experience of my life what should have been a simple process was complicated and very stressful. Still waiting to be called back but not holding up much hope as I'm the one doing all the phone calls. Never again will I by from Peter Vary or Carstore, enjoy the sale Perter Vary its the last. Peter vardy don't know what Customer Service is! I've been waiting to hear back from them for nearly a week now to no avail. I've bought a car last Friday which I was told had damage to the grill a hour before I was due to collect. The car had more than a damaged grill. Car hadn't been valleted and noticed further damage (scratches) to the car. Lia the manager assured me this would be dealt with. I'm still waiting, I've called twice now and nobody has bothered to reply or update me on the part arriving and when these issues will be resolved. I will never buy from Peter vardy again.

Issues with body work on the car was highlighted at the time of purchase and I was assured that these would be repaired prior to receiving the car. At the point of collect the works had not be carried out and additional scratches were on the vehicle. Lack of interest from the Branch to rectify the matter. VISITED YOUR NEW CARSTORE DURING COVID FOR MY SON'S 21ST BIRTHDAY CAR EVERYTHING WAS GREAT TILL PICK UP JUST ABOUT 2 DRIVE AWAY AFTER PAYING THE £2000 DEPOSIT WHEN ASKED FOR THE SPARE KEY BOOOOMMM ANOTHER £200 please thanks wont be back sorry but yes a wee thing like forgetting the spare key £200 notes thanks for the lovely car but ill try mini glasgow next time 2nd car from peter vardy and defo LAST
