“I selected to buy the insurance offered by Castle Cover at around 18.00 Hrs the day before it was due, however the website would not advance to the payment portal. The following morning when I logged on the price had increased by virtually £100.00 !
I then called and spoke to a lady who then spun me a line about prices fluctuating day by day which is basically rubbish, you are just following Sleazy Jet or Ryan Air of jacking the price closer to the expiring date of the previous policy.
She then spoke to another member of your staff and agreed to proceed at the price quoted the previous evening.
While I understand I think it is just a cheap trick which leaves a slightly sour taste and that is before you have even taken my money. I am also surprised that 6 days later I still have not received any documentation either by email or post.”

“needed to change the start date on my brand new policy, the company said I could not change the start date , would have to cancel the whole policy and start all over again, which would have been a waste of my time, money and energy, staff who spoke to me were rude and dismissive. did not renew my new policy, took my business else where”

“Arranged cover through compare the market. Very competitive quote. Received a call from yourselves advising I didn't need to forward proof of no claims as that had already been done, which was great. Very impressed.”

“Apart from a bit of a hiccup trying to provide proof of my no claims bonus this insurance was well priced, easy to understand and good value for money.”
“I used "go compare" to find the best quote for car ins, and having gone to Castle Cover's web site to get the insurance, I found it a bit bewildering going from the site to my email and then back again thro' authentication only to find the Number given me was not accepted. So I had to phone, and after some time and after explaining I was put thro' to customer services who gave me another number. So back to your web site "again" and after a struggle all went thro'.
Now, after another email from you for proof of no claims, I sent the one which it seems was "a statement of fact" I thought you would be after FACT and not fiction.
O well at last sent the correct one.
It would, I think, be a good idea for you to get in touch with previous insurers to get proof. This would make the take up of a new customer less stressful.
I found the whole web process very stressful, especially when the computer keeps telling one "does not compute". Unfortunately you penalise (£) if the transaction goes thro' a real person, and yet I still had to get in touch by phone because the computer made a mistake with the number given.”
