It gave me incorrect information saying the van had finance against it which it hadn't it finished on 27-4-2014 we traveled 3 hours to see vehicle and never bought it on your information I'm not happy and would like a refund of my payment

Website didn't complete the purchase so didn't know if I had paid for a car check. Contacted the help desk via on line link and after an email request for help and an email complaint about the lack of response i still haven't heard from anyone. I cannot log in to either the app or the website to check my car check that I think I have paid for and can't get a response from anyone to assist me.

Hi David, we emailed you your check when you bought it, and we've just forwarded it over again - hopefully you've received it now. All of our checks are sent out via email, displayed on the screen, accessible in our App and retrievable using your custom link for 30-days. I had an disagreement with the car garage due to the error of your company stating the vehicle was a CAT C lost. The vehicle infact not.So what a waste of money by giving me rubbish details of the vehicle that it has CAT C. It's the first time I used your company and probably the last.

Very poor service- car i had has hidden mileage prior to first mot and now rheres some questions as to whether theres is finance on the car from thitd party neither of these issues came to light on the check total waste of money as far as im concerned

Paid for a gold service but got tin! The car details came through quick enough, however there was an issue with the report and trying to get through via the helpline is absolutely rubbish. Having tried to contact them from 9am to 4pm with no luck with more than 8+ answer phone messages and 40+ calls, really disappointed. I’d rather pay an extra £20 and go with HPI next time.

Hi Yohan, thanks for getting in touch again and we're sorry that you're still not satisfied with the service provided, despite us clarifying the details of your car check with you twice by phone yesterday. We experienced an issue with our inbound support line yesterday which we believe was caused by the 85 calls that you made to it over a four hour period - we've subsequently increased the number of lines we have to handle such heavy assaults on the number. I dont see why they had to take the cost for the check then to find out that their dvla system has not details of this records and that they will look into it and refund within 48hrs if that is the case. Why not check first to confirm vehicle details are available thus saving admin costs at their office? I couldnt recommend it.

Ranjeet, sorry you're not happy about our process - we have to take payment when you buy a car check as we issue our checks instantly. It appears that the vehicle you checked had very recently (that day) changed registration and therefore we were unable to retrieve data from the DVLA on the vehicle. Almost all the information given could be gathered free elsewhere, but no important details such as where the car was first registered, or the names of previous owners. Incorrect information regarding number of former keepers. This is a complete waste of money - I feel that I've been conned, and very angry about it! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Dear Chris, thanks for taking the time to review us - we've checked out the car check you've purchased and we've provided the same set of data that's shown in the example so we are a little surprised that you're angry with the result. Whilst some of the DVLA information is available in the public domain, we have to pay a lot to our data suppliers to access finance, insurance and police databases. If you've found this information for free we'd be very keen to hear where! wasted my money with you guys you said AK53BLZ BMW x5 was a cat B write off in 2004 which was a real shocker as we had already purchased the car from a dealer and were checking other things could not believe that,, Got AA to do real check found that that plate had been moved on to a bmw320i that was written off then transferred back to the X5 3.0d very disappointing performance your trying to provide an important service and failing badly regards Mike Badcott

No it did me no good at all because it told me it was a motor cycle with 4 doors and the vehicle i was enquiring about was a car with 5 doors

I wanted to check some vehicle from autotrader advertise.I checked on two websites.Both of them informed me that everything is clear,super ,right.... Seller was a tief and car belong to absolutely someone other...I have lost 4100pounds.... I paid for check and? Nothing .Vehicle exist ,I paid for it but Im still walking...

Hi Sylwia, we're very sorry to hear your story. If a car is registered stolen with the Police or Insurance Companies, we will tell you. If a car has not yet been reported stolen, there's no way of us being able to tell that. You should always check that a seller's Photo ID matches the details on the V5C before buying a car. If you're not already in contact with the Police you should also report this to them to try and get your money back.

Information was inaccurate none of the adverse data was recorded luckily I did another check with a different site before buying which revealed the car was on finance and had a colour change will not be using this site again

Hi Naseer, sorry to hear you're disappointed with our car check - we've dropped you an email to see if we can resolve these issues. To be really clear to others reading this, we don't check (or claim to check) car finance as the more expensive sites that do claim to provide these checks do not show 'logbook loans' - now the most common form of vehicle finance.

Total waste of my time. Could not get any details for this vehicle. Went to another site and got all the details I wanted in no time at all,very poor service would not recommend or use again.
