I contacted Clickmechanic because I had ABS warning light on my dash. The mechanic fitted a ABS sensor but couldn't get the ABS warning light off my dash. It cost me £198.17 what a waste of money. I will have to take the car into my local garage to get it sorted. I won't be using click mechanic ever again.

A couple years ago my Saab was collected by a click mechanic garage about 20 miles away in Merthyr from my home. Needed a cambelt and water pump changed. I took a photo of the mileage before it went and was returned to me with about 300 miles added to it. I rung the garage and asked them why and they denied it saying it had been locked in a garage overnight even though there were takeaway menus in my car. I sent them a picture of the mileage from before and after highlighting the mileage difference. When caught out they didn’t want to know and click mechanic sided with the garage saying the mileage was added when driving the car to check all was ok. They must have driven to Plymouth and back. I would never use this corrupt company again or the second rate garages they have on there books. Be aware. Be very aware and avoid at all cost as there’s plenty of honest independent garages out there. Unfortunately these arnt one of them

I recently booked a clutch replacement and at the 11th hour was presented with an additional £60 vehicle collection fee. (The recovery driver was already enroute so booking cancellation would have incurred a larger fee). My rationale for choosing the service was the mobile mechanic nature of the service. At no point in buying the service through the portal was there an indication of a need to recover the vehicle or a charge for doing so for a Clutch replacement. See attached quotes from the website during the booking process “Clutch Replacement… will do the work on your doorstep….” “…don’t forget your mechanic will come to you and for no extra charge” This was despite me confirming during the booking process the vehicle could not be driven. There so also no mention of recovery fees in the company Terms & Conditions or Booking Polices Despite repeated polite requests to address my grevience Click Mechanic showed no interest. I would warn against their use.

AVOID. Was quoted a price for a new alternator which was fine, accepted it and then the night before the mechanic was due to come, the mechanic messaged me and said it was going to cost another £300. Obviously, I said forget it. Would never use this shambles of a company again.

Needed new headlights for car to pass mot Was told no one near me could do the job Then a mysterious debit of 228 pounds taken from my bank. No idea googled and found a company that does not exist anymore Then days later a man turned up at five thirty saying from click mechanic and showed me my name on his mobile. Said I didn’t cancel but unaware I had an appointment. sent him away then wanted 40 pounds for cancelling. Have read these reviews and realise I was scammed but my card for my account had now been cancelled.

WORST EXPERIENCE. AVOID CLICK MECHANIC AT ALL COST. Booked for work and they took the money up front, only for the mechanic to come and cause damage to my car, too then give up and leave. The mechanic told me it was not his fault and that the issue was irreparable, I had the issue resolved 2 days later by another mechanic (not through clickmechanics). It cost me over £100 extra in labour costs due to the damage caused by the click mechanic and yet click mechanics still charged me for this appalling service. They also did not want to get involved in any way in the complaints or refund process, they said it was between me and the mechanic, obviously the mechanic was also reluctant to give me my money back and still to this day denies he did anything wrong. disgusting company and service, do not use!!!!

I sent payment to Clickmechanic for a job and they claim the payment has not been received. However I am still out of pocket for a job that hasn’t been done. The only way to complain is using their dashboard, no other way of expediting a complaint. Very poor service won’t be using again

I had an isue with the Adblu warning on my VW T6, called them they arranged and sent me an mechanic who had a plug in bit of kit, spent an hour trying to get the reader to identify the failure, had to phone a friend they could not solve the issue and then suggested I take it to my local VW dealer, and asked me to get it fixed and tell him what it was in the end as he di not have a clue. AVOID still charged me and still recons he did a good job. Avoind like COVID.

This is a scam company, avoid at all costs. The inspection report submitted by the mechanic did not reflect the real condition of the car. The report states that the car is in excellent condition, whereas upon personal inspection the car is obviously not in good condition. As an example of some of the issues that the report did not mention are: coolant tank level indicator broken (unable to determine actual coolant level), window rattles in driver door (requiring dismantling door card for investigation), cup holder clearly broken off centre console and missing. The biggest issue found within 2 mins which was not mentioned by the report is the fact that the car is emitting blue smoke on start-up, this indicating oil leaking into cylinders which would require a repair costing in the thousands of pounds. In short, the inspection report is useless at best and misleading at worst. To top it all off, Clickmechanic will say they are only a marketplace, yes they are a marketplace for dodgy mechanics to steal your hard earned money.

Click mechanics support was good before the work was done. They are good at sales. Not so much at the overall service or aftercare support. I booked pre purchase inspection. Click Mechanic website says 1-2 hours. The mechanic did it in under 30 minutes - thats from calling me while he was still in his car to calling to say he was finished. So 25 mins tops to do the 'inspection' including 10 minute test drive, leaving 15 minutes to inspect brakes, pads, discs, suspension, steering, gears, clutch etc etc. I said to the mechanic thats too quick and he said yes the click mechanic inspection isnt long. £89 for lets call it 30 minutes work is £178 an hour! I contacted click mechanic through their website - got no response. I emailed them and after 3 days got a reply asking if I wanted to open a dialogue. I said if they felt that was reasonable then yes. I never got a reply to that email. Followed up a third time, no reply again. Click mechanic say my emails never came through however the first contact was through the contact form on their website. Other emails were replies to their emails to me - one of which they did reply to so they clearly do get the emails. It’s now over a week since my last email to them. I see click mechanic respond to some comments along the lines of 'we are just an intermediary'. Well, even as an intermediary, you have a responsibility to make sure the work the customer books on your website matches the work done by the mechanics working through your website. As customers, we are counting on that to be the case. Otherwise say - some mechanics take just 30 minutes to do your inspection and we can’t do anything about that. Washing your hands of any accountability is nonsense. Secondly, I did try several times to contact click mechanic for support on the issue and they did not respond. You cant blame the mechanic for that. Will never use click mechanic again. Ive spent £89 and I still need a car inspection! The RAC inspection is only about £10 more, you know what you are getting, which is a standardised car inspection that actually takes the time they say it does. And if something does go wrong, at least you are dealing with the company and not somoene who says ‘we are just the intermediary’ NOTE - I removed a previous review with my booking reference as click mechanic used my real name in response to my original review. They don't even have respect for, or understand, basic confidentiality

Mechanic turned up ok . Had trouble getting part but came back next day to fit. All ok until week later when same problem arose. Called mechanic several times and left messages but he didn't reply. Click posted a message as well but basically you are left on your own. Ive now had to book into another garage and start all over again. Very disappointing. If you can wait and get it into a reliable local garage then id recommend in 1st instance.

I hired a service to change the head gasket, because my car was boiling hot. The mechanic told me that he would also have to change the Timing chain for the service to be good. I agreed, then he invented that he also needed to change the carter, I agreed. In the end I spent 2,000 pounds, the car was there for 3 weeks and when it came back it came back worse than it was before, as the problem persisted and still came back with some loose parts, causing the alternator belt to come loose, causing me more expenses. I strongly recommend that you do not use this service. I wish I had read these reviews sooner. This app does not give you any help, they say that the Mechanic is to blame, and that mechanic will be removed from the system. The mechanic simply ignores your complaints, and you take the loss.
