If I could leave zero stars I would. Terrible company. They take money that they are not entitled to take. I paid for what was a clutch repair. The mechanic collected the vehicle and all seemed well. The vehicle was returned to me in what was described as excellent working order. This was not the case. The part failed. Depsite assurances that he would source the part and complete the job to satisfactory levels, this did not happen. It took a whole morning for him to inform me that the vehicle could not be repaired by him. Poor communication compounding the service from Click Mechanic. Avoid at all costs.

The mechanic didn't change the oil and just poured more into the engine causing the PCV valve to fail and then cause all sorts of knock on faults due to TOO MUCH OIL Used a really cheap timing chain which has now been changed He also rounded half the bolts while removing the cam cover He lost quite a few vital screws and bolts causing my aircon to fail and loose gas When refitting the bomber he used self tapping screws and brass screws ..now I have to repair the holes made by him bodging the job THORNBURY TYRE AND AUTO SERVICES should be ashamed to call themselves mechanics.. shockingly bad workmanship

Ordered full brake disc's and pads service, I was told that mechanic use OE parts brembo or borch. Work was done, after few weeks squeaking sound came from brakes, inspected brakes disc's and pads, and fitted wrong parts diferend brand that is cheap quality. Not recommend to use this service. Mechanic was Neil from Colgans Car care And Commercial Vehicle Repairs in King's Lynn

I sent payment to Clickmechanic for a job and they claim the payment has not been received. However I am still out of pocket for a job that hasn’t been done. The only way to complain is using their dashboard, no other way of expediting a complaint. Very poor service won’t be using again

I paid for a complete diagnostic for a 2016 Jaguar XF and a Camshaft position sensor warning light came on 90 mins after I bought the car following your mechanic's assurance that it was mechanically sound. On my initial clickmechanic booking I specifically requested that the mechanic check for timing chain faults as this is a known Jaguar XF issue. And in our phone conversation following his inspection I again asked him if he had checked for timing chain faults. He assured me that the car was in great condition for its age and had no issues. I have since had a Jaguar inspection and the car timing chain needs replacing! Jaguar assure me that had your mechanic run an actual diagnostic test he would have seen the sensor warning light. I am bitterly disappointed.

Absolutely shocking service, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Wish I had read the reviews before I went with these set of cowboys. A simple rear brake job (New discs/pads) turned into a nightmare... The guy they sent could hardly speak a word of English and he did an absolute bodge job.. I have attached pics if you wanna see. His name was LOVEMORE (avoid this cowboy!) He has basically knackered up the caliper boot seals on both sides because he didnt fit them back properly leaving me needing new calipers at the cost of £400! He had also used cheaper parts than what U was quoted (was quoted PAGID and he had used 'JURATEK') The click mechanic 'team' have basically fobbed me off and said its nothing to do with them anymore (ALEX and PAUL thanks for nothing) Basically they will take your money and run so beware I am now in the process of taking legal action against the mechanic. Use them at your peril.

ClickMechanic assured pre booking that the Audi digital records would be updated and would source on that criteria. The Mechanic who carried-out the service advised he does not have access to digitally update the record. My full service has not been recorded as yet. It is nothing to do with the Mechanic. Their Customer Service Team are not now owning the probem. I am repeatedly asking since early February about excalation procures or ability to forward the problem to their regulator for independent resolution. Extremely disappointing approach to abandon the customer's complaint....It appears that they plan to do nothing!!!! I am still waiting....

Using Clickmechanic is a gamble. This is a platform for freelancing mechanics and those with mobile units. The buisiness model is good but their infrastructure of support for the customer is non existent or that it is very poorly executed. And who your case would get appointed to, needs to be checked before booking. Good mechanics can perform badly on occasions, bad mechanics can get it right like even a stuck clock always gets the time right twice a day. However, whatever goes wrong the company does not protect the customer or their monies, ever. The business thrives on disclaimers, no liability clauses and such fine print. The best, after a lot of persistence, they would offer is to connect you to the mechanic in a messaging system. You approach the company because you are aggrieved about something unworkable in the first place. Then you have a nice merry-go-ride, round, round and round you go in the resolution centre until they ensure that their interest is protected. There is no accountability, they do not accept any liability for their traders' performance or under performance if it were the case. It is a gamble. You may have the best mechanic out looking into your car issues and you would be ever so pleased. You may have a not so clever mechanic who doesn't have expertise and yet you need to pay regardless of your satisfaction levels. There is this disclaimer and no liability fine print which can cost you dearly. But fear not, please remember to pay using credit card or a bank card. You can always raise a charge back. Please refer to section 75 and charge back in the event of an unjustifiable loss. You do not need clickmechanic or the mechanic themselves. But do offer them the opportunity to fix matters because you would need to show the bank that you have exhausted all venues of fixing matters with them. If their response has been wholly unjustified, contact your bank. Clickmechanic do not know their traders, they are only interested in making money. Anyone with the qualifications can be a mechanic, even those who lack expertise. For pre-inspection it is dead easy. You could just tick a few boxes, take a few pictures and then fall back safely on the disclaimer and no liability. The performances are not scrutinised, this business wants to make money, their eyes are fixed on money and they wrongfully think that the trader is the purpose of the business. Whereas amazon have got it right. They care two hoots if their traders leave, in fact they sift through the chaff on a regular basis. They would rather protect customer interests and that is how they buy and build their loyalty. The clickmechanic's operational management is just in its name, they are just mediators, no more. The mechanic reviews left for by customers are vetted with more rigour than vetting the mechanic itself. So you would see a 100% feedback for all their mechanics. I would say go through individual reviews, sift through for the experts and ask for their appointment for the vehicle. Even better use AA. AA have their own employees, they have a rigorous vetting and inducting process and they are an esteemed company who never falls short in customer service. I have used AA for various insurances, schemes, still continue to do so. On this occasion I tried clickmechanic for the cheap pricing and boy didn't I get the cheapest service of my life! It couldn't have got lower! Let's hope Jeff bezos will bring platform for services here to the UK. Afterall we are entering into an age of environmentalism. After sales service is the future in business and sale of goods would be taking a backseat. I wouldn't not recommend clickmechanic because I like these sort of platforms that have the socially responsible model to it where traders have the opportunity to work on. Please do look up who the mechanics are and go for mechanics who have proven expertise, who are professional in both: their conduct & services. Study chargeback and section 75 thoroughly in times of crisis.

WORST EXPERIENCE. AVOID CLICK MECHANIC AT ALL COST. Booked for work and they took the money up front, only for the mechanic to come and cause damage to my car, too then give up and leave. The mechanic told me it was not his fault and that the issue was irreparable, I had the issue resolved 2 days later by another mechanic (not through clickmechanics). It cost me over £100 extra in labour costs due to the damage caused by the click mechanic and yet click mechanics still charged me for this appalling service. They also did not want to get involved in any way in the complaints or refund process, they said it was between me and the mechanic, obviously the mechanic was also reluctant to give me my money back and still to this day denies he did anything wrong. disgusting company and service, do not use!!!!

I had an isue with the Adblu warning on my VW T6, called them they arranged and sent me an mechanic who had a plug in bit of kit, spent an hour trying to get the reader to identify the failure, had to phone a friend they could not solve the issue and then suggested I take it to my local VW dealer, and asked me to get it fixed and tell him what it was in the end as he di not have a clue. AVOID still charged me and still recons he did a good job. Avoind like COVID.

Click mechanics support was good before the work was done. They are good at sales. Not so much at the overall service or aftercare support. I booked pre purchase inspection. Click Mechanic website says 1-2 hours. The mechanic did it in under 30 minutes - thats from calling me while he was still in his car to calling to say he was finished. So 25 mins tops to do the 'inspection' including 10 minute test drive, leaving 15 minutes to inspect brakes, pads, discs, suspension, steering, gears, clutch etc etc. I said to the mechanic thats too quick and he said yes the click mechanic inspection isnt long. £89 for lets call it 30 minutes work is £178 an hour! I contacted click mechanic through their website - got no response. I emailed them and after 3 days got a reply asking if I wanted to open a dialogue. I said if they felt that was reasonable then yes. I never got a reply to that email. Followed up a third time, no reply again. Click mechanic say my emails never came through however the first contact was through the contact form on their website. Other emails were replies to their emails to me - one of which they did reply to so they clearly do get the emails. It’s now over a week since my last email to them. I see click mechanic respond to some comments along the lines of 'we are just an intermediary'. Well, even as an intermediary, you have a responsibility to make sure the work the customer books on your website matches the work done by the mechanics working through your website. As customers, we are counting on that to be the case. Otherwise say - some mechanics take just 30 minutes to do your inspection and we can’t do anything about that. Washing your hands of any accountability is nonsense. Secondly, I did try several times to contact click mechanic for support on the issue and they did not respond. You cant blame the mechanic for that. Will never use click mechanic again. Ive spent £89 and I still need a car inspection! The RAC inspection is only about £10 more, you know what you are getting, which is a standardised car inspection that actually takes the time they say it does. And if something does go wrong, at least you are dealing with the company and not somoene who says ‘we are just the intermediary’ NOTE - I removed a previous review with my booking reference as click mechanic used my real name in response to my original review. They don't even have respect for, or understand, basic confidentiality

Mechanic turned up ok . Had trouble getting part but came back next day to fit. All ok until week later when same problem arose. Called mechanic several times and left messages but he didn't reply. Click posted a message as well but basically you are left on your own. Ive now had to book into another garage and start all over again. Very disappointing. If you can wait and get it into a reliable local garage then id recommend in 1st instance.

I hired a service to change the head gasket, because my car was boiling hot. The mechanic told me that he would also have to change the Timing chain for the service to be good. I agreed, then he invented that he also needed to change the carter, I agreed. In the end I spent 2,000 pounds, the car was there for 3 weeks and when it came back it came back worse than it was before, as the problem persisted and still came back with some loose parts, causing the alternator belt to come loose, causing me more expenses. I strongly recommend that you do not use this service. I wish I had read these reviews sooner. This app does not give you any help, they say that the Mechanic is to blame, and that mechanic will be removed from the system. The mechanic simply ignores your complaints, and you take the loss.

Booking ref 9974107. I booked my car for it's MOT through their website. The mechanic sent his friend to collect the car an hour late. The next thing I know is that things kept changing and costs being added. The mechanic says that the car's failed on emissions then this changed and he added the costs onto his labour, then further outrages costs on new brakes . Then my car's clutch went as the mechanic was returning the car to me having passed it's MOT. Mechanic recovered it back to his garage . All the while charging my card through the Click Mechanic website. The mechanic returns the car a week later. A mechanic on the website admits I've been overcharged for everything . The mechanic who worked in my car tells Click Mechanic where to go. I have been charged over £1000 for what was at most a £200 job. Of course , ClickMechanics excuse is that they are just a portal and don't want to know anything. Case closed. ClickMechanic can't just wash their hands by saying that they're just a portal. If you accept dodgy mechanics on your website make sure you pay out when they rip off your customers.
