I purchased my Comfortbilt Stove one month after my husband passed away from Covid-19. One month after using my new Comfortbilt Stove, it started making a grinding sound. I called Tech Services. Support was very friendly and helpful. After months of trying to fix the problem, both winters of 2021-22 and now 2022-23, they sent someone to come to my rural town to replace a defective bearing! The sound was very nerve-racking, keeping me awake at night and then waking me up again early in the morning. It seems that the problem is now resolved. It is sad though, that you purchase a stove for thousands of dollars, and then have problems so soon after.

Ignighter and blower fan assembly parts fail every 3-6 months, the cost is $300.00 to replace them. what a scam..on my second set of replacements, and you want my opinion? Don't buy Comfortbuilt- they are built to fail when you really need it to work.

Comfortbilt 22N pellet stove. You do not want me to rate this. 6 break downs later this thing literally has something wrong with it every week. Bad bearings, failed auger motor, welds on auger have holes in it. I have been lighting it with a propane torch because it only lights intermittently even when the heating element is 1/8” away from the bowl. I never thought a pellet stove would have this many breakdowns and maintenance. Lastly they put the screws and washers inside the hopper to remove the side panels. You better hope you keep track of those washers because if you remove the screws and the washer falls into your pellets, you end up removing all of your pellets to locate the washer. I would return this in a heart beat if it wasn’t so difficult to send back. The only thing good I have to say is the customer service and 1 year warranty period has been a big help. I am not looking forward to when this warranty runs out.

After the initial help with our pellet stove, comfort built really dropped the ball with following through. After receiving our parts we could not get a hold of anyone and no one returned our calls. 2/5 stars for me as when they help they are amazing, but only WHEN they help

We no longer have the stove. To many issues with the stove. Rating 2 stars. No a product I would recommend. The old saying goes you get what you pay for.

The stove is great. The shipping process, was a nightmare. Took over a month, and I still haven't received compensation. The shipping company used wouldn't even deliver to my house. Not impressed.

Had to modify the plate that the control panel mounts to just to open hopper door. Still not happy with how far the lid opens. It puts the wires at too tight of angle.

I am currently trying to sell it. We thought it would be a wonderful way to avoid the mess of wood and the heat is great. But unfortunately my husband passed away. He was the one who filled it. At 4 foot 11 I can’t lift the bags of pellets. And right now it’s not working anyway.

I'm giving it a two because I've had problems with my stove popcorning and when I talked to the tech he didn't seem to want to be bothered with helping me told me I had to go of a downdraft and never got back to me which never happened with my hp 55 and my hp22 is still doing it and using a lot of pellets so I am no longer comfortable recommending the stores to family and friends because I think too good of a downdraft is a bunch of buls**t

At this point in time I am rather disappointed in the quality of my stove. I've had numerous problems with it. So far Johnathan from tech support has helped in the resolution of most. but it seems the problems are never ending! Apparently my stove was made on a Friday just before quiting time! As I told Johnathan today, I think the stove is possesed by demons. He sent me some videos of stove problems and their resolution. Hopefully they will help me resolve the noisy auger that I am presntly encountering. With morning temperatures in the single digits I need a reliable stove. To date this stove is not!

I am disapointed that the stove doesnt shut off when the temperature is reached. It is a waste of pellets to have the stove run when additional heat isn't needed. I wouldn't have purchased the stove had I known it wont shut off when the temp is reached. The fact that it cant be hooked up to a thermostat is also a reason I wont purchase another Comfortbilt stove.

Brand new unit would always shutdown for no reason. After multiple modifications and part changes still never worked properly. Needed new replacement unit but was cold for two months because of issues. Gave it two stars because technical support really tried to help.

I never recieved the item I ordered. I recieved a delivery notice and I discovered it was delivered to the wrong address. Your response was that I had submitted the wrong address during my on line order. This is impossible as I had never even heard of that adress. And now I can not afford to purchase the item again. Very unhappy.

I spoke with a tech because I was having a problem with the ignitor. I purchased a new one from you and it did not work. The tech sent me another one and it still does not work. I am now lighting my stove manually without any direction of where to go from here. I told the tech it was not the ignitor before he sent me the replacement one due to diagnostic testing... HELP!

After reading reviews online at various websites, on January 11, 2021 I ordered the HP22 stove and installed the stove on January 23rd. I was initially thrilled at how well the stove heated my home but now am very disappointed with the reliability. Around April 7, 2021 the rocker switch went out (confirm with order number C9562). On May 9, 2021 the ignition switch stopped working (confirm with order number C10046). Fortunately I am smart enough to replace the components on my own otherwise I would have been out the cost of a service technician as well as the parts. A new stove should not require me paying for and replacing two components in under four months of use. Am I to expect to replace parts all next winter as well? What happens when I am at work all day and the stove stops working? These are concerns I should not have with a brand new stove. I live in the cold northeast where temperatures are below freezing for several days so it's a pretty big deal if my stove is not reliable like one would expect of a new stove. I'd really like to return my stove and pay more for reliability.
