Our comfortbilt pellet stove is easy to use and it has practical functions, however, I only used it about 5 times and the auger began making a noise. I got on to a live chat with Tyler R. who was extremely helpful in isolating the problem. I was not comfortable correcting the problem as the stove was still under warranty and I am in mu 80's, so Tyler put me in contact with an authorized repair company in Maryland, Randy's pellet stove repair. Tyler also sent me some replacement parts. Randy was able to accomplish the repairs and Tyler advised me to email the repair bill to todd@comfortbilt.net which I did. To date, I have not received any reimbursement even though I received an acknowledgment from Todd that he had received the bill. With the weather getting warmer, I have not had the opportunity to use the stove.

Mother Board went out thought it was power surge, But wasn’t what caused it. Stops a lot when Hopper is Half full. I’ve empty hopper checked found nothing, changed to different pellets same problem. Door gasket leaked they did replaced it.

Nice stove. Safety switch went out on bin in first week. We use a lot more pellets with this stove than our last stove. The blower in the burn pot is too strong and blows burning embers out. The blower is not adjustable as it is passworded out and needs a qualified service person to adjust it. I have ash that is blown out of my chimney and I need to clean out the pipe every week to keep it from getting clogged. It does produce a good amount of heat.

The pot seems to be warped from the welds. Does not sit flat in the HP22 stove and causes combustion issues.

The 4 pin connection between the controls and the "brain" has needed replacement several times. The wires are way too small.

The parts for our pellet stove are great. To bad the under preforming cast iron burn pot was not replaced for free with the stainless one. I've had the stove 5 years and this is my fourth burn. It also took a email one week later to get the purchased product shipped. We primarily heat our 2000sq. home with pellets.

Don't like it. Collects much more ash and debris than the less expensive cast model. Have adjusted air flow and same issue.

Had problems with our stove. There is no one answering the phone. Everything is e-mail back and forth which took 4 days. Feel customer service should be better when a problem exists.

The motor was making a grinding noise and the customer service guy swore to me it was bearings to the auger and I bought bearings and put them in and it still made the noise then I had to order a motor and put it in and now it is quiet and the guy talked me right in to buying something I didn't need and I even took a video for him and he still didn't have a clue, not happy

This is my second stove from comfortbilt. First model was Hp22 purchased from Glenn back in 2016 except for replacing the igniter stove ran great. Install in shop. Purchased an Hp 42 in October of 24. Ran great for 2 weeks, auger stopped. Contacted tech no reply for 3 days left messages no call back finally after a week received an email asking for proof of purchase supplied receipt. After two or more days got an email saying parts shipped.four days later tracking states not picked up by shipper. Finally 4 days later received new auger motor and motherboard.Installed new parts stove up and running after 2 weeks.Comfortbilt used to have top notch support Glenn would give you his cell a d get back within 24 hrs very disappointed customer. By the way new auger has a loud squeak. Guess I'll have take care of myself. I will have second thought now on recommending SMG comfortbilt in the future William Dittus

Very poor service and product. The stove is built well but the software is awful. The swing on the temp setting is huge and makes it unusable. The stove regularly has faults despite being clean. I now have a vacuum issue, and have to run in safe mode, and despite asking many times I have no support from Comfortbilt. Don’t buy one! You will spend a fortune and there are better products on the market for less money.

The parts are good and comfortbilt.net works fine. I would like to see shipping options. USPS is not timely and doesn’t let you track packages very well

One year now, I am happy with the stove. Recently one of the wires in the four wire connection was visibly broken, this was on the top monitor, where it plugs into the back. When I put the wire back in the slot it broke off from, the stove would work, but every time I opened the hopper I had to do this. Pretty obivious this was the problem. Last year when I put on the optional hoppper, I didn't replace the four pronged wire with the longer cord. I called Comfortbuilt tech help, he immediately read off a list of parts I need, including a new mother board. He said he could give me a 75% discount, but didn't give me a price. So, I asked him what the price would be, I think he said around $250. He was clearly trying to sell me something I didn't need, not what I would expect from a technician who I called for advice. He said, rather nastly I thought, "well, I'm just tryng to be helpful, I can't gaurantee the broken cord is your problem". Well, the wire was visibly broken, and when I put the wire in the slot on the connector, the stove worked, but every time I opened the hopper the wire came loose., and the stove would shut down. I would guess that is the problem, don't you think? As the saying goes, I wasn't born yesterday. I ordered the longer four wire cord, on my own, and replaced it, and have had no problem since. That cord was $30, with shipping, too expensive for what it is, but a lot cheaper than $250, for parts I didn't need. So, really, really poor service from Comfortbuil, a total rip-off if I had believed the technician, I found this experience to be an insult to my intelligence.

Getting quite a few Low temp alerts. When I run it in manual, I have no problem. When it runs in temp, it poofs and fills the house with smoke and the burn pot ends up full of unburned pellets. Help

It shouldn't take a week to get a gasket.

My new HP22 arrived with a non functional room blower fan. The motor was jammed with tiny metallic particles that prevented it from turning freely. I was able to disassemble and clean the motor and it’s been working since. I do wish that the minimal heat setting produced less heat. Other than that it is acceptable. And I did not have a remote packaged with the unit. I would probably not purchase again or recommend to others based on my experience.

I purchased a hp21. The hopper opening is too small, thats why I purchased the hopper extension. I'm not happy with the fact that when my hp21 is low on pellets is shuts down with about 10# left to burn. My Kozi stove would shut down when it was completely out of pellets.
