“The bone broth is very nice and nutritious and one sachet is enough for two mugs. The only negative thing I would say is that I seem to have received only two sachets but paid for three. I didn't notice this at first because of all the packing with it, in an enormous box; I have looked in my freezer and cannot find a third sachet. Apart from this point, the produce is very good.”

“Knowing the product is organic is really important to me. To find an online organic meat farm is amazing. It came in a lovely recyclable box and I have put the ice packaging in the freezer for another time. The items came when they said it would. It would be even better if they could narrow down from 8am-6pm when the items are arriving but that is a small point. Well done.”

“Was dissapointing meat came all frozen. Great taste quality very good. Clear instructions given about delivery requirements. These were clearly written all over boxes when delivered which showed good service. However delivery man took no notice or didn't bother to read or couldn't read them as I returned home at the end of the day to find the boxes on my front door step in the blazing sun.”

Hi Anita! Thanks for your feedback! All our meat is blast frozen and will arrive frozen as mentioned on our website. Normally the delivery service makes sure not to put the boxes in the sun, maybe there was shadow before when they delivered? Sorry for any inconvenience and hope you'll enjoy your meat!

“I found it very easy to order meat on their website and communications thereafter were excellent. The goods were well packed and delivered on time, although the amount of packing and icebags for us to dispose of was rather daunting. We had no use for the icebags or the wool packing. I was satisfied with the meat on the whole but disappointed with the lamb neck rings which i ordered to make a hotpot, really wanted good old-fashioned best end of neck like we used to buy. I would also say the pig cheeks were very tiny, not a bit like I used to buy from the meat counter at Waitrose.”

“Ordered two packs of bones for broth but needed to order more for the minimum amount. This minimum amount would be my only criticism. Ordered a steak pack so far have eaten the. T-bone, lovely! Bone broth is still simmering so can't comment on that.”

Hi Karen! Thank you for your review! Our minimum order is only £20 at the moment, less than at many other online (meat) companies. “Online ordering system fast and easy. Promised next day delivery. Order confirmation on the other hand suggested a delivery of 7 days later causing a major panic. All sorted once clarified that their system was inserting the wrong delivery dates”

“I have had 2 deliveries from Coombe organics and it has always been on time and well packaged in reusable packing. The beef has been delicious and very flavoursome, however on my last delivery I ordered a joint of rump. It was advertised as having a layer of fat added to the top for roasting as there is very little fat in this cut. Unfortunately there was no added layer of fat on the joint and despite cooking in foil and adding lard it was rather dry. Fortunately the flavour still came through and maybe it was my cooking but I believe the added fat as advertised would have helped. Having said this every other piece of meat ordered has been succulent and bursting with flavour and commented on by all have eaten it.”

Hi Sue! Thank you for your review! Normally all our Organic Beef Roasting Joints (except the Chateaubriand) are covered with at least a little layer of fat to help preventing dry-out while roasting. “The service was very quick & the meat was packaged so well & beautifully. My only negative is my meat being packaged in plastic, it's something I personally really dislike. The meat however was very tasty & my family even noticed a difference so the tast test was a winner!!”

Hi Natalie, Thanks for the feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know thoughts on the site and our products. We totally agree with you when it comes to packaging. Plastic drives us crazy too. However, for us to be able to pack, store, freeze and transport our meat, it is a legal requirement. That said, we actually use plastic that is approved by the Soil Association. It is made with sustainability in mind and we only use it where absolutely necessary. “I ordered an Eco Box which I found great value for money. There was a slight issue processing my order as one of the items wasn't available, although I did receive an email offering to switch the item with another. Service seems very good, though perhaps organisation could be better to ensure all items are in stock? (just being picky) The box was well packed and everything was frozen solid, thoroughly impressed with the packaging. So far I've eaten: The breast of lamb (served as a Sunday roast, too fatty for my liking but tasty none-the-less. Perhaps I didn't cook it very well, but quite a considerable amount of the lamb was unedible, there was just too much fat) The ox liver (not a big liver fan but it was probably the best I've tried, cooked with bacon and onions in gravy) the flat-iron steaks (sliced thinly and served raw in a Vietnamese noodle soup, fantastic, succulent beef) and the skirt steak (served medium and very well seasoned with some baked sweet potatoes and steamed green veg; a phenomenal steak) I still have the half-rack of lamb and the beef mince in the freezer so can't comment on these, but judging by the quality of the other items, I've little doubt they'll be just as good. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Coombe's again in the future - already looking forward to trying my favourite - Rib-Eye Steak! Quite pricey but then, you get what you pay for and animal welfare is very important to me, as is my own health. Thanks, Coombe's Farm!”

“Excellent quality and speedy delivery The packaging is very good although one of the packs of sausages was just beginning to thaw on delivery, so not sure how effective it would be in the height of summer. It wasn't a problem this time because I finished defrosting them and ate them: very good! Also one of the packs of sausages had five instead of six: I'm sure this was just a one-off oversight on the packing line, so no biggie.. In any case will be reordering at sometime soon!”
