I believe this company does not test appliances when buying them in, I have purchased 2 electric items a rotary scrubbing brush and a rotary brush for cleaning my block paving driveway. Both item are absolutely useless, they are so under powered that they are not fit for purpose. Then there is garden ornament with solar power, months after purchase we find the item has ingress-ed water so shorting the system out and making it beyond repair.

Why doesn't my previous scathing review of this company show up here????? Ordered item on 2nd June - it is now 18th. After many phone calls and 2 emails (one not replied to) I am this morning told that the item has been "lost somewhere" and they will expedite another one for overnight delivery.

Ordered one item on 2nd June - it is now 18th! Have checked by email (twice, one not even replied to) and phone (4 times). Today I was told it had been despatched on 14th - day 9 of their "10 day delivery period" - and given a tracking number which I queried with the carrier (YODEL) only to find that they had no record of it!!!!! Back on the phone and, after a short delay, was told that "it has been lost somewhere in transit I'll get another sent out for overnight delivery". Somebody somewhere is telling porkies! But what an absolute shambles, 12 working days since the order was placed. Wish I had visited this website before ordering, I'm another who will not be using this company ever again.

Ordered 2 items on 5 June, still no sight of them. Rang the call centre (7pence a minute) to be told that one item was holding up the delivery. Apparently the item is in the warehouse but hasn't been put on the shelf so can't be dispatched. As the 10 working days isn't up til next week I'm told it should be delivered then. Poor service- first and last order from coopers of stortford.

I ordered a hedgehog nest box and received a box of wood. I don't mind a final fix approach but resent being expected to make the thing myself! Getting sick and tired of this level of service when buying an "item" which does not exist. I am quite practical but not everybody is. I might as well have built one myself - oh yes, I am!!

Had a terrible experience with this company after ordering a grill from them. I wrote a bad review on their website 3 weeks ago and it still has not appeared on their website. I wonder why.

As coopers are a UK based company why do they take so long to process an order and why does it take u to 10 working days to be delivered, I've had faster deliveries from orders I placed abroad!! Not only that, but why do orders I have received still show as 'being processed'? I am hesitant about ordering from this company again if they can't improve their service, and update my account!!

As a previous customer I needed some info about one of my purchases, but couldn’t find an email address, not prepared to phone at 7p/minute and be left hanging on. I will be cancelling their brochures and any other contact, they need to get into 21st century as far as communications go..

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering. Returned an item which was received at the depot on the 03/05/19.Still waiting confirmation of this.E.mails .Phonecalls. Nothing. At least I have proof of return.

Only half of order arrived. And it was cheap nasty and did not work. Unable to contact them and it is a premium rate phone number - probably how they make all their money. Emails not replied to and returns method is a joke - you will only end up parting with more money which you are very unlikely to get back. AVOID

Order placed 20th April 19.it is now 7 May 19,according to the Web it is STILL being processed. Had an email response, advising me due to moving premises, and high demand it will take a little longer.

Placed order over a week ago. Confirmation email states all items in stock. Money was taken from my bank account at time of order. No further communication received from them. Tried calling them today on premium number but didn’t get past no 7 in the queue! Sent email but received automated response saying they received my email but that they are experiencing an unusual high number of emails and phone calls. Not happy at all with this company and will not be purchasing from them again.

Made an order 10days ago. Still not received the item yet. Sent two emails no answer. Have a premium line and holding on for last few minutes and keep on daying 7 in the que. Will I order again with this company ? Never

Have waited two weeks for an order. They did not answer my email. Got cut off speaking to customer services. When I finally got through, they hadn't even dispached it yet. I will never use them again.

Waited3 days for parcels.each time tracking said they attemped but they never even came .cant get in contact with you or them but youve still charged me for delivery and the item i never recieved.

Oggie I purchased a rotovator some three years ago and it has had very little use, maybe four or five occasions. Last week I came to use it and the cord on the recoil starter snapped. I contacted Customer Service and was advised that Coopers do not carry spares. In other words, the product is not supported! I purchased a replacement cord from Screwfix and attempted a repair. This is a dangerous activity as the recoil spring flies through the air and can cause serious injury. I have in the past week repaired this recoil unit some 20 times with the attendant hassle of re-winding the spring. (Another dangerous activity). Each time it is repaired, it fails again with different failure modes. As a Chartered Engineer, I am forced to conclude that it is significantly under-engineered. I have scoured the internet for a similar starter with very limited success, the only possible contender being from South America! I have now ordered a different rotovator unit from Screwfix who support all of their products. The Coopers unit has been abandoned as a bad joke. In future, buyers beware!

Ordered two items online. Acknowledged, one out of stock for five week wait. Tried to cancel, have sent three e mails because they never answer the phone. Now they sent a reply saying my order has been despatched. Read it, it hasn't ( I think!!!). This company have appalling customer service. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

If I could give less than one start then I would. My wife's Father died recently having just ordered a key safe from these people so it was returned together with a letter explaining the situation. Coopers sent back a cheque made out to her Father and sent to his address, this upset her as you can imagine. Having sent back the cheque explained the situation yet again another cheque eventually arrived incorrectly made out and the bank refused it. On the third attempt Coopers managed to send a cheque, to the correct address, made out to the right person for the right amount. The same day, however, a hand addressed envelope containing someone else's refund arrived, this was immediately sent back together with a covering letter. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENTS
