They don’t post there fees and they are the biggest ripoff compared to other auctions. I will never buy another thing from them.

Copart is a bully because they can be. They hold a large portion of the insurance/salvage car market in the U.S. They unapologetically gouge their customers with fees waaaaayyy higher than industry standard. The fees go up consistently and those that depend on them to make a living are forced to comply. They take no responsibility for inaccurate listings and damage done to vehicles while in their possession. There is almost zero quality control. Customer service is hit or miss depending on location. Copart generates unhappy customers, which generates unhappy employees. The process of paying for and picking up/transporting the vehicle you purchase is unnecessarily complicated and difficult. The app is glitchy. I can go on and on.

Found a Mercedes SUV I wanted to bid on at their Eugene, Oregon location. I paid the $59 membership fee and attempted to bid on the vehicle. The system told me I was ineligible to bid. I used the online chat to resolve this. The representative was helpful and explained since I was new, I would have to wait 24 hours for my account to be verified. I was fine with that and surprised that less than an hour later, I was eligible to bid. Now that I'm "eligible" to bid on the Mercedes I wanted, I was then told that I could NOT bid on it because I am not a dealer or business? Why can't Copart be upfront/honest about this BEFORE taking my $59 membership fee and making me waste HOURS out of my day for nothing! Now, I have to waste ANOTHER 5-7 days hoping I get my membership payment refunded- Thankfully, I took photos of my refund request in case they try to be more deceptive.....

I sign up and payed the subscription fee so i can bid in a vehicle that ends today but i wasn't allowed because it needs up to 2 days to verify my account. On their site it says that you can register in 60sec,pay, upload the document and you can bid which is completely misleading.I contacted them and they said they don't do refund even though i haven't used their service and it was completely misleading from their side.

My insurance company had my car moved to copart and when I went to retrieve the items from my vehicle. I was missing 3 pairs of rayban sunglasses and the change from my vehicle among a few other items. I would not recommend them to anyone else!

Not sure how this company is still trading - I have had the worst experience with the Wolverhampton branch. Staff are very rude - have zero customer skills - I have had to go through head office to get the simplest thing done like getting a vehicle getting collected. When they did eventually collect it they decided to only put the auction on for 3 days when it should have been 8 days - Terrible service. Bunch of crooks! Wolverhampton branch needs shutting down to say the least! Would give them zero stars if it allowed me to. However the recovery driver driver Gus was a very nice chap. Avoid con-parts at all costs!

I’ve been in the salvage business since 1989.I have 27 acres of salvage vehicles . My member number is 10444 u can look and see that I have bought hundreds of cars from Copart in the past . A few years ago I had a bad experience and stopped buying from Copart. Well I decided to give it another try last week. I purchased a Toyota Tundra with minor damage to roof and door. I got up at 5am drove 110 miles and only then realize I can’t walk in give u a check and u load my truck I was there at 7.30 I got loaded at 11:30 the flat bed had other car parts on it that would blow off that were not there in pics so I kindly threw them out in parking lot. I will never be back . The truck also has blown engine . 30 people in office only two taking payment and getting titles it sucks and the reviews should tell u something

No vehicle previews permitted at Copart Pittsburgh South and West. They claim to only allow previews when the weather is “nice.” Drove 1 hour one way to preview some cars on a sunny 50° day and was told that I could not preview any cars because the lot was wet and there were still some patches of snow around. They don’t want anyone to preview their cars at these two locations because they want everyone to buy crappy cars sight unseen.

the after sales agent was not at all interested in my concern. the solution to my problem was not acceptable and she was not interested in my point of view. very poor customer service. the spare tire was removed from the RV and she would not check with the yard employees as to what happened to it.

Do not buy at copart, they don’t care about anything, I spent 6 hours to be able to get my car, they build this ridiculous sistem where they can charge you as much storage they like, because they never have appointments available , because now you need an appointment to pick up your car, but they never have appointments available so they can charge you storage as much as they want until they decide they have appointments , Go to the office and you can hear all the calls of people complaining and the staff treading people like garbage , they don’t care and that is IF they are not in lunch or breaks because most of the staff is on their phones and with the excuse they are on break, believe me is not a one time , this is every single day I am now desesperly looking to buy somewhere else

Absolutely the worst and most dishonest company I've ever had to deal with. They charge for absolutely everything yet take No responsibility for anything they do. They are still charging a fee for bidding online despite it not being possible to physically attend an auction anyway. They have added so many changes to having a vehicle collected that it makes no sense to do so and you ha e to use their delivery service, the only time slot they will give is between 7am to 9am but your lucky if they actually turn up at all yet when you call to ask where your delivery is they are rude and unhelpful, then the reschedule it and don't turn up then either but yest again absolutely No concern to them whatsoever. If your lucky enough to actually receive your vehicle you can almost guarantee that it will be far worse than the description they have listed it with, not only will it have at least twice the amount of damage it was listed with but the staff at Copart will have taken anything worth taking before you receive the car, all the matts, usually the parcels shelf and basically anything else they fell they can sell elsewhere. The battery is often swapped for a totally useless one, not just dead but not even chargeable. The have the monopoly and are certainly making full use of it.

One star is more than they deserve. All these reviews saying how impressed and they have never had issues are a joke. I've been buying cars for years through auctions, Copart is by far the worst in customer service, handling issues and the FEES are a fn joke. Last car I purchased fees were over $1200. The fees have continued to go higher because these guys are one of the larger PUBLIC auctions and apparentley many people think that's just the way it is. There are many other auctions out there to buy from, you may want to look around. Either way this company sucks.

I went and registered two months out and paid the fee to be able to bid on a car. The day that I was ready to put up for action it would not allow me because it said that I had to have a buyer license or Broker to be able to bid. On co-parts webpage it prompt me to a list of brokers. After over an hour trying to contact someone all the brokers numbers went directly to music. I contacted Copart and they were not able to do anything to help me. Anyway the auction went on the car was sold I paid my registration to bid and could not even bid. Why Copart does not require the broker or buyers license on the registration form before you pay the registration fee to bid ????????? This company is only about taking your money !

One star is a compliment. Buyers beware.the waiver you sign to become a member gives them the right to cut converters and damage your vehicle after you have purchased it. The customer service is horrible and you will pay for their bad management.Warning to all buyers

Copart is allowing scam behavior from sellers. Cars are now being packaged and staged to hide the true nature of the damage. The pictures below are example of what was posted on Copart after being packed to sell online. Be careful buying from Copart

I've been rebuilding salvages for over 40 years. As others have mentioned the fees just keep going up and up and up. What I've noticed lately is there are lots of parts missing on my latest vehicles that are not related to any accident. My latest a 2015 Lexus all four tires were swapped out and replaced with junk miss-matched tires that were not even roadworthy. I've also noted that many cars like my Lexus came thru with harness connectors cut off as well as no bolts or lights and not a single part from the accident many of which can be salvaged and fixed and reused. A friend of mine with a towing service who has towed many car out of Co-parts said boxes of parts are just tossed rather than left in trunk. Vehicles coming off the east coast NY and Philly area seem especially bare with any part worth a few bucks removed from the cars.
