“We have been members for quite a while and shop at Costco quite often. It was insulting they made you stand and compare your face with the picture on your card. But today was the worst. In addition to shopping for my 101 year old mother, I brot my elderly sister to do her stock up shopping. After being a member for many years I was accused of card sharing and the girl told me it's the last time I can ring up an order for my mom and sister using separate credit cards for each order. She made me feel like I was trying to be dishonest and said she"will allow it this time but not again after today. My questions are "Why????and what difference does it make when I am right there?" It's not like I gave my card away for someone else to use, I am merely helping my family AND I WAS RIGHT THERE!! It was very embarrassing and humiliating to have a stranger talk to me that way. This needs to be fixed!”
“I purchased 4 gift cards at $500 each. Costco emailed the gift cards but only 1 would “open” at the warehouse.
On 7/5 Costco said they would refund the balance of $1500.
As of 7/20 they still have not refunded.
I guess I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company to get the promised refund.

“Early June I went to buy a Costco membership, ready to pay for the full membership. At the customer service desk, they told me there was an on-line special and if I applied on-line I would get half the membership fee back in coupons. So the Manager of the Customer Service desk helped me to do it on-line in the store. She indicated I could pay on-line with my Visa card for the membership I found this strange because I was told by a friend that Costco doesn't accept Visa in store. But I did it anyway, paying with my Visa for the membership. I bought what I wanted paying cash at checkout. Yesterday I went back to Costco. When I got to cash they told me I had to pay my membership fee. At customer service two different customer service agents told me my credit card company cancelled the transaction in June. I said impossible. I went home to figure out what when wrong. Sure enough when I called Visa they told me it had been Costco that cancelled the transaction in June. When I called Costco back it was very difficult to get through to someone. Eventually I spoke with Angelie who indicated they would honour the coupons but I was told it was for only on-line shopping. This was never explained to me at the beginning that the coupons were only for on-line ordering. I would never have wasted my time in June. A short time after , another person from Costco called me, offering a $10 discount the next time I shopped in-store. She also indicated that other customers had similar experiences with the on-line promotion and membership orders being cancelled. I give her credit for the attempt to make this right. But $10 is such a small amount compared the embarrassment, stress caused and time wasted. Obviously people will always shop at Costco because of the deals. However, this experience shows me that Costco staff have extremely poor knowledge of on-line deals and on-line technical issues. Passing the buck and telling me it was my credit card company that caused the issue is appalling. Not sure that I will go back and buy a membership. I do not recommend shopping at that location as the customer service staff not knowledgeable.”

“Just learned today that our Costco store bakery in Cranberry Township, PA has DISCONTINUED the "COUNTRY FRENCH BREAD". I can't believe how disheartened I was when the Costco baker gave me the bad news! This bread was perfect inside and out, with a crust that was edible (unlike the leather exterior of the other breads, such as the Rustic Italian), and just soft enough on the inside. There wasn't that sourdough taste either. I've tried all the others, did not like them at all.
Now I'll be on the hunt in other stores for a similar bread to the Costco Country French Bread. Hoping Panera or a privately owned local bakery has a bread that is very similar.”
“Costco customer service and delivery service needs a complete re-haul. The product I ordered was suppose to have been to me in 14 days it is now over 30 days and still can't commit to delivering it till another week. I have been without a dishwasher and the person who was suppose to install was rude, lazy and did not want to do their job. I had to take out my current dishwasher to prove to him that the floor was level, even though the appliance has adjustable legs (he unaware of that said they did not, I had to read to him the installation manual). Have sending me a damaged dishwasher Costco did nothing to make sure a new one go to me ASAP. In fact I still have the damage one and the old one in my garage even though they had 3 chances to haul both away. I will never order another appliance or anything of great value from them again.”

“Failure to install dishwasher. Took mine and left water unhooked to new dishwasher because installer did not have a $8.00 coupling.
After the fact, tried to explain it away that my house was not up to code. My home was built in 1975 and is up to code.
I went and got a fitting and hooked up the water so that we could have water in the house.
The installer took all the mounting hardware with him and now the dishwasher can not be installed by anyone without locating the missing parts.

“When and the Costco‘s on Junction Boulevard and the security follow me and my family around the store which we are black I they thought we were stealing something we had bags from TJ Maxx also Mandy’s and receipts for everything as we proceeded to the register, he followed me which I paid for all my items and as we were going out the door, he said this other big white guy to search our bags and ask for receipts, which I had receipts for everything he lucky. I didn’t have my phone out to record him because if so, I will be suing Costco. I had a very hard work experience. They are very racist over there. I will never go there again young guy, and this was on Sunday 😡😡”
“I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer from Costco, and the dryer has been problematic from the first few uses. I repeatedly contacted Costco customer care, and they sent out Samsung technicians who were unable to fix the issue. Despite three visits from the Samsung technicians, the problem remains unresolved. The technicians claim to have replaced the dryer heater, but they never actually replaced any parts. Samsung technicians are lying, and Costco believes them.
I have been dealing with this issue for over a year and escalated it to the Costco resolution team. I have been working with them for the last three months, making numerous phone calls and sending several emails, but the dryer issue is still not fixed.
I do not recommend buying Samsung products from Costco, except for TVs. All other Samsung products sold by Costco are of very poor quality. Costco's customer support has been poor since COVID-19. I recommend purchasing electronics from BJ's, Best Buy, or other retailers instead.”

“I purchased a 75 inch TV Samsung from Costco online. The tv was damaged. I was informed it would take 5 to 7 days for Costco logistics to pick up the tv we just had delivered. That was June 25, 2024. I was told we would receive a full refund of $1059.00 no later than the June 29, 2024. Still no refund, I then called and spoke with Andrew and was informed that the monies should be deposited July 1 or July 2, 2024. I again called the Costco Logistic July 2, 2024 because I was informed by Mark that I would be completed by the end of the business day of July 2, 2024 and again no deposit of $1059.00 was transferred into my account. I then spoke with Marie and she was checking to see why all the confusion. Per Marie, Mark didn't fill out paperwork correctly. My question is why is this taking so long especially for Costco's and I will never purchase another high price item again from Costco's . I will now go to Best Buy where I can get the same TV for $400.00 cheaper same model. It's a shame that I will not be purchasing any big ticket items like a new Washer and Dryer, A sink and flooring for the condo I just purchased. Costco shame on you.”
“I purchased an LG 85”TV three years ago from Costco in Kirkland, Washington, at the time they offered me an extended warranty for $100 and I paid it. 2/1 Years later the TV died.
I live in the US, but I use my international Costco card to purchase it. I called Costco up and for three weeks they’ve been giving me the runaround. They tell me I have to go through Allstate, Allstate says they will only cover the warranty if it’s a US Costco card even though I’m a US resident. Five people at Costco said they would escalate it and call me back and not a single person ever did. Costco scamming people with the warranties.”
“I became a card holder along with my number and got her a card as well. When my daughter went to go get a few things from Costco's she was denied because her picture was not on the card.. she called me and told me that they wouldn't let her get the stuff unless I was there do to the picture. I called Costco's and asked them what is going on I explained to them and they told me that I am the owner of the account and that I would have to be present. Asked them why do you ask than to get a second card for someone else when they can't use it??

“I just went shopping last Tuesday but had to return the fresh chicken because I felt it was too expensive so I returned it on Thursday but when I returned it I encountered a very disappointing event when the staff said that you can't return fresh chicken and I asked why.. I asked the reason and said that I have been a member for almost 2 years which I know that we can return it.. I asked back if the company has changed the new rule and the staff said yes and told me that if you return the chicken the company has to throw it away only which is very bad. I am confused that the staff said that I am a person who does not value food. So I asked to talk to the manager that I did not know that the company has changed the rule and it got worse when I had to wait for the manager for almost 5 minutes. When I was about to talk to the manager, the staff told me to go because the store was starting to get busy with the return part and I had something to do in a hurry.. I spent almost 10-15 minutes returning the chicken and the staff's words were an order not a service.. I am very disappointed and I just renewed my card.. The question is should I use the service or cancel the membership card which is in my head.. Some of the staff here are not very friendly which is different from other branches...”
“INEFFECTIVE SERVICE. "Executive" phone numbers are forthcoming........ For some reason, "executives" had the Lexington Costco store/warehouse try to help with an online order for Costco appliances that still, MONTHS LATER, is not resolved. David, the store manager, and Chris, the store AGM, have told me things such as "call Concierge" (Concierge told me it was not their problem and to call Costco online), and even went so far as to call "the office of the president" to get an executive, "Leah" to call me back (Leah's number is 425-313-2878). According to Tiffany, Leah's assistant, "Leah has been travelling (for 3 weeks) and cannot call you back." Leah's assistant, "Tiffany", told me that I need to speak to "Andi Freeze (Andi's number is 405-832-5426). Andi Freeze outright called me a liar and when I told Tiffany this Tiffany stated, "You WILL speak to her IF YOU WANT YOUR APPLIANCES!" At the Costco Lexington store, there is also someone who answers the #1 button of "Admins" whose name is Doris. Doris denies speaking to me at least a dozen times (I remember) and also refuses to even give me a corporate phone number. She wants to "take a message" that never gets returned. And then there is "Aya", the "manager" for the Pharmacy at Costco Lexington. I figured after a few months perhaps I should try the Pharmacy for help. Aya also refuses to give me any phone number for regional, district, or corporate. After all, 'if she can't help', then she's not going to help me by giving me anyone else who can assist! Then there is Jenny Diguardi Eisenhauer (she goes by Jenny Diguardi), 630-581-6270, who also refuses to take the call. I've been calling her and her assistant, LUCIA, for over a month. Lucia says she never received any of my messages. So I gave her the dates and times and how long each message was for over a dozen messages left on her phone. Lucia's phone number is 630-581-6264. Supposedly, Jenny Diguardi is the manager of the Lexington warehouse. She has the rudest secretary Janice who screamed at me because the back door to my house hits the bottom of the tile and "that's right in my ear!!!!!" Anytime Janice wants to come over and help me reset my back door so it does not squeal, I would be most appreciative. THEN there are the delivery people. Mostly they say, "I don't speak English" so they are "allowed" to scream and yell in Spanish (which by the way, I understand), and you have less than a 50% chance of your item/s coming severely damaged which means you do not get them. And then, they don't want to come back, even when Costco online supervisors "demand" that they come back before they will replace your damaged items. One of the delivery people even told me, "I can't adjust the legs on your washer or dryer because they could break"! Another did not give me all of the pieces of the dryer so one piece is missing from the bottom of the Maytag dryer! When I sent a picture of the dryer to "Susan" who is the supervisor at online Costco delivery along with the photo of the 2 items together, SHOWING HER the missing piece, she says, "It looks fine to me". Clearly Susan needs glasses, as David, the Lexington Costco manager could see that it is not the same. Susan was also extremely rude. But maybe not as rude as Levi (502-558-0907 or 502-263-9650), the supervisor under Susan, who calls me to scream at me, "The delivery people are at your gate and you are not there to let them in!!!" And when I send him a PHOTO that I am indeed at my gate and the delivery man (Jose) is NOT, I don't even get an apology. Jose's number is 502-544-0658. Then there is Molly Walters (405-832-5381), who for WEEKS, cannot understand - even after me repeating it over 2 dozen times - what I need........... IT IS SIMPLE. 2 NEW WASHERS. 2 NEW DRYERS. 2 NEW STOVES. REFUND MY DISHWASHER ORDER BECAUSE YOU REFUSED TO INSTALL IT . (They did want to leave it though in my house for a non-disclosed period of time, blocking my dishwasher already there, refrigerator, bedroom, washer and dryer, and back door. When I politely asked them to please leave it under the covered gazebo 10 feet outside my front door, he began screaming at me in Spanish, which again, I understand.) They refused to install it because for some reason, even though David and Chris and I were on the phone for over an hour placing the order with the correct addresses, somehow Costco's online order system did not get the addresses correctly. OR, Chris and David did not put it in correctly. Either way, the second Hispanic delivery guy started screaming and hauled it away (as above). He also left my stove, taken from a different address, in the middle of my driveway so I had to pay someone to come over and move it. Phone number for Costco Midwest Regional - 630-581-6200.
