I am a regular customer at Currys parc pemberton. I would like to thank Chloe who is always absolutely amazing and sorts out all of my problems. I have many items with insurance and regularly pop in with questions or products that need repair. Chloe is always extremely helpful and is beyond tolerant of my many questions! Very many thanks Chloe and Currys who have a great member of staff!

Recently purchased a fridge freezer for our daughter and her fiancé .it was explained at the purchase that they live in a flat up some stairs which didn’t seem a problem. When they arrived they didn’t even assess it and flatly refused.we paid £20 to have the old one removed and my daughter said we will bring it down but they refused to wait! When she switched it on after the specified time it didn’t work! After a lot of correspondence via twitter they eventually sent an engineer who stated there was a gas leak and needed replacing! The 2nd delivery driver’s went out of their way and took it upstairs! How can one driver refuse and the other be helpful? This is poor customer service! I have no faith in “team know how” I have had dealings with them before which wasn’t good! It’s fine if it’s an easy job! The name gives you the impression that they have a wealth of experience! Unless it’s an easy job, done by bother with them! X

Placed an order on black friday, was notified of it being processed for delivery and the payment was taken from my account. 4 days later Curry's cancelled my order saying it was no longer in stock. Now I'm left to find a replacement while still being without the money until the refund is processed! Plenty of other companies seem to be able to keep up to date with their stock levels BEFORE a purchase is allowed to go through, not 4 days later!!

Ordered a tv on Thursday before Black Friday and was due to be delivered today. Waited in during 4 hour slot and 20 minutes before it was due to end I received an email to say that order was cancelled with no explanation. Called customer services and after waiting half an hour eventually spoke to woman who tells me that as a mistake was made re the pricing they don't have to fulfill order and it isn't valid until delivered but they have taken money from my account and it will take days for it to be returned. Not impressed at all and wont be using them again.

I have just purchased an Xbox one s bundle from Currys in the Black Friday sale. Although I was happy with the price I did not expect the box to have been opened already. The clear circular seals were already slit open and other seals replaced in different areas and some on top of previously stuck down seals (marked). I did not proceed to open the box but instead phoned to complain to Currys about this. After waiting about an hour to get through, the staff member, who was abrupt with me, said that perhaps a customer changed their mind and returned the item. I explained that I should not be receiving second hand goods even though a customer returned it when changing their mind! For all I know the xbox could be faulty or damaged! He put me through to another customer service member for information to return the item. Being left on hold for another 40 minutes is not acceptable. I have tried about 5 times to speak to them again but no answer. I will keep trying to get a replacement. Extremely poor service Currys and rude staff too. If you want to remain in the retail business then I suggest you improve your service. I have been looking at other reviews and am appalled at such a poor service from Currys. I don't think they even read these reviews (what a waste of time eh!).

Recently I visited a branch of Currys/PCWorld. I only expected to be 20 minutes or so, but the transactions took almost 2 hours. A week later I received a penalty notice from the firm that administer the car park. Naturally I appealed on the grounds that I was in the shop at the time. (There are signs saying maximum stay one and a half hours etc, but not surprisingly I didn't notice - why would I?). Appeal refused, so I went into the store. Not interested, saying the rules are the same everywhere, and anyway they have no control over (their own) car park. Wrote to Customer Services – same answer. Wrote to Chief Executive telling him that I will never use Currys/PCWorld again. He hasn't seen fit to reply. It beggars belief that any company would fine you for parking while in their store.

A couple of times I've tried to buy a laptop or Chromebook from PC World's Truro outlet. On the previous occasion the branch had no stock of the displayed laptop and offered me the option to get it delivered to the branch the next day for an added £5 (or thereabouts). I did not feel inclined to pay to stock Curry's shops adequately, and so bought on-line instead (not from PC World). Today I asked Truro Branch for a Chromebook which the Branch had on display. "Not in stock" their sales operative said - and we've nothing at our central warehouse either - don't know when we can get one. So to save time, I'll go to on-line sources again. I recommend you do the same. Put simply if Curry's PC World put an item on display I expect them to have it in that Branch or at the very least be able to tell me when they will have it - without further inconvenience. I will not buy an alternative more expensive and less popular item from them, because they fail to offer me what I actually traveled into their branch to buy. I'll simply go elsewhere. I recommend you try other outlets first and leave Curry's PC World to last - if at all. CURRYS - Completely Unhelpful Retailer, Recommend You Skip. Model sought today and not available, although displayed ... ASUS C202 11.6" Intel® Celeron™ Chromebook - 16 GB eMMC,

Mother in law ordered a new oven and hob. Was meant to be delivered on Friday so she cancelled a doctors appointment. For them to cancel. Then should have Benn delivered on Sunday with no correspondence until she contacted them to be told it will now be Tuesday. Even though she has already waited over 2 weeks for it and been living on take outs. When rang up and asked who she complained to the man on phone was not helpful at all... I mean you take the money and delivery money and don’t even turn up... this service is disgusting will not ever be going for anything big if they cannt help a 83 year old lady out... what If that was there mum

We were bit worried by certain reviews for knowhow but; Phil and his team from Basildon were absolutely brilliant. It was a tricky job but they looked for the ways "to do the job" rather than not. They were polite and professional and we can't thank them enough. Thank you very much Jon & Kath Epsom

Called into my local Curry’s at Teesside park today to purchase a Dyson Hoover and a set of telephones. Picked up a twin set of phones it stated they were reduced to £28.99 saving 40.00 on original price. Checked the price ticket matched the product code on the box and they did. Off I went to the till. The price for phones came up as 48.99. I said to the girl I would go bk and check the price again as I was sure it said 28.99. I went bk checked again and yes it said 28.99. On returning to the till with the price ticked to show her another lady was waiting. She looked at the label and proceeded to read through it. She then said to me I’d picked up the wrong item as the barcodes don’t match. I pointed out I don’t read barcodes as a customer I look at the description and the price and were the product is placed. I pointed out the product code on the box matched the product code on the price label. She just looked at me and said it’s the wrong set of phones. So I cancelled the sale of the hoover and the phones and said I would shop elsewhere. Somewhere I could be more confident the price it was showing was actually what I was going to pay. In this present climate of internet shopping I can go anywhere and spend my money but I do like to shop in store and support local jobs etc. With poor customer service and poor pricing policy’s it makes this more difficult. I have now ordered on line. Curry’s just unwilling too help in any way

They don’t honour their offers. I bought a TV 2 weeks ago and the offer was if the price drops for Black Friday they’d refund the difference. It went down by £100 and when I contacted them they said I should have registered for the offer. That is absolutely a cop out. As I bought it online I think it was fair to assume the actual purchase was enough of a registration but no it wasn’t. It’s not about the money, it’s the principle that has annoyed me and means I will never buy from these rip off merchants ever again. I know they don’t care and not having any more money from me will not make a difference to them but I’d rather pay more at another retailer than give Currys another penny of my money

I had to give one star to be able to write a review; there is no option for a minus. I ordered and paid for a washing machine by phone having had problems with the website. All progressed only to receive an email one minute later stating that the order was cancelled. Telephone to ask why "security issues" no further information apart from it was probably my card company. Checked bank account later and the payment was on debit card pending. Bank said no problems with the payment. Following day and yet another half hour wait I was told refund would be made within 24 hours. Three days later and I am still waiting for the payment to be refunded. Knowing how chaotic they are I have blocked any future transaction with Currys. It was only when I was into this problem that I remembered that I had an identical problem some weeks earlier when attempting to purchase a computer. Non delivery of computer and no notification; "security issues". I even received a request for feedback on my purchase!! What purchase. The computer was purchased from another provider without problem. I have now blocked any payment to Currys from my credit card as I will never visit their store let alone make a purchase.

Ordered a tumble dryer from Curry’s, on delivery day the van turned up but no dryer on board for me. Phoned customer services to be told my order had not been put on the van and my delivery had been rescheduled. I pointed out that if they were going to do so then they should inform the customer. The total blasé attitude of staff beggars belief. However, I was assured by the delivery manager that it would be delivered the next day (Thursday morning). At 11.50 text received saying good news my delivery would be on Sat?? According to customer services they had again Forgotten to load it on the van. The word Incompetent is the only way to describe Curry’s, so do yourself a favour and go elsewhere where your custom will be valued.

On August 22nd 2019 i purchased an LG 65inch tv and soundbar + base speaker from PC World Wandsworth. The salesperson's name was Raoul Hounsihoue. I told Raoul that i was going to have trouble setting it up. He asked where i lived and when i told him just across the road he offered to come over during his lunch break to help me, which i gratefully accepted. He spent his lunch break unpacking and setting my equipment up and afterwards when i offered him cash in return, he refused it and said please if you could just leave a review based on your experience. It took me 3 months to get over the shock which is why it took me so long to get around to writing this review ;-) The equipment is spot on and it was all on special offer so all in all a good day. Plus Raoul's technical knowledge was exceptional.

Curry's PC world encourage their sales team to lie to customers. I was told that if my item breaks on an accidental warranty it will either be fixed, replaced or refunded. No one mentioned how they only refund part of the price to make up for the "specs" of the product. After arguing that the RMS of the speaker that I was being offered is much lower, they told me that because the RMS was not listed by the manufacturer therefore it did not count towards the specs they had to match. They agreed that the specifications they had offered me were inferior and decided to recommend me a Panasonic speaker for my Sony one which looked even more inferior. They don't care about matching the brand and they don't care about the actual specs of the product. All they care about is signing an accidental warranty contract to meet their sale goal even if it means lying to the customers. Going around their shop, I realized that this was a recurrent thing they did. Whenever advertising accidental warranty they never mention the vague T&S they have. In summary, if you pay for accidental warranty on a £600 TV, expect £200 back if it breaks two or three years later or a sub-optimal replacement

Bought a hob and paid extra for installation Currys came and delivered the hob but wouldn’t install as they said the pipes needed updating they then left but didn't’ unpack the hob A gas fitter came out today and said there’s nothing wrong with the pipes he inboxed the hob and we discovered missing parts so the gas fitter capped off my gas and left I now have no hob or oven as currys disconnected my oven as well I called currys who put me through to hotpoint who told me to go to the store so I did, but they can’t do anything I will never ever shop at currys again I read the reviews on trustpilot too it’s worse than on here 57% said don’t shop at currys and just 17% said good service I don’t even know if I’ll have a hob or cooked in time for Xmas Absolutely disgusting service
