I was to have a cooker returned on the 7.8.2018 was sent txt on the 06.08.2018 confirming this between 07.hrs and 11.15am no show contacted customer service, how then. Confirmed txt was sent in error, then asked when it would be picked up advised they had no idea, so called work and asked for all day off, sent email advising really upset about this customer service were disgraceful no apology no help whatsoever, finally got a call 1400hrs they were arriving to pick up on discussion with delivery guy was told we were added to his job but were never on it,second complaint, called to arrange for refund, advisor took details, was sent through too guarantee team for refund for a year service, advised I wanted into bank account, was told no problem, waited 1 full week no refund for cooker but cheque arrive wrong title i.e. It was maid. Out t o Mr S Keen, not miss S keen but laughable the letter hearing was to Mr Susan Keen, called customer services regarding refund for cooker and stated that there was nothing in bank, was told the advisor had made error in setting up refund, and I would have to wait a further 3/5 days, asked for a Bacs refund refused, then contacted guarantee department explained the error again asked for Bacs, was told another cheque would be sent out, in between this I would just like to state, customer service was non existent, not one advisor was sympathetic, or cared, truly awful service. Please contact me on or email Thank You. S Keen. Would just like to add to this spoken with Alfie cct? Was told that I would have to wait a further 3/5 days as I was not given the correct information on the 16.08.2018, explained Alfie that I have had to take a loan out to Cover dad which were to be paid from 16.08.2018 and because of several errors from this date made by Teamknowhow customer advisor I am out of pocket again asked for a Bacs transfer refused, asked for compensation for the money I have had to borrow again refused, was told and I quote, you will need to wait till you get your refund, asked to speak to a manager refused to get to phone was told will receive call within 24hrs asked manager name refused to give, asked section manager name refused asked for Head Office Email was told they don't have an email address, I am going to contact tabloids, social media CAS. no . Was also told was not contacted because there was 2million scam email laughable probably complaint backlog. S Keen

An absolutely awful experience. We ordered an oven, hob and extractor. They missed the first 2 delivery appointments, on the 3rd delivery they did not have someone with them who was qualified to fit in the oven, so they fitted in the hob and left us with a cavity under the kitchen top for several days until they could get someone out to fit in the oven (with the oven left on the floor of my kitchen taking up space. Customer services told me if I called back after everything was fitted in they could organise a gesture of goodwill partial refund. When I did call, the assistant was very snarky and unhelpful, playing mindgames with me (which I assume he thought was good negotiation skills) to try and lower the amount as much as possible, he tried to offer £30 despite the 4 delivery appointments. Thankfully a previous assistant I spoke to gave me an estimated refund of approx. £60. So I was able to push for that. Overall very unsatisfied, delivery guys when they did show up were nice, but doesn’t excuse the incompetence. When I did get a call from the delivery driver to notify me of cancellation, no suitable reason was given, very defensive attitude and the blame was always placed on the customer services team for setting up inappropriate appointment, talk about teamwork. Avoid! Better off buying from ao.com or elsewhere.

I wish I could give less stars. I have just realised after signing up for a one year warranty unknowing I have been paying for technical support for 3 years that I had not asked for, it was coming out of an account that I never access therefore went unnoticed. They advised by entering my pin when buying the product I am giving my permission for them to take the money each month. It appears no one can help me, no one can refund it and no one is interested. I am absolutely fuming, if you get any warranty with them check the small print thoroughly or better still avoid purchasing from them in case they sign you up for something you have not asked for.

Panasonic Combination Microwave glass turntable cracked during a cooking cycle in the oven after only 5 months of use. Went back to Currys to ask for a replacement under warranty, as glass had a very clear manufacturing flaw exactly where the crack appeared. In the store I bought the microwave from, the staff immediately started to avoid me as soon as I walked in. The staff I did manage to speak to immediately went into denial mode. It wasn't their issue, it was Panasonic's etc, etc. Long story short, after 9 days, and much buck passing, Currys finally came back with "the turntable is an accessory, this isn't covered under their warranty" Without the turntable, the microwave did not function, how on earth can that be classed as an accessory? Will never buy another product from Currys, and I will tell everyone who asks me to shop anywhere but Currys.

I purchased my HP laptop in April 2018. I have since had numerous problems which include the laptop turning off randomly, Word does not respond and will crash frequently as does PowerPoint and I have lost important work as a result. I have contacted Currys on a number of occasions stating the above problems either over the phone or via email. I am currently paying £9 a month for insurance. From the most recent email, the £9 insurance I am am paying seems to be for a technician to tell you over the phone that they cannot find fault with the laptop. No one has physically looked at the laptop. The only thing they have suggested is a factory reset (which is something I can do myself, I do not need to pay £9 a month for this) or a quick Word repair. They have since suggested I get someone independent to look at the equipment, and pay for these costs myself because they cannot find fault it. However, no one has physically seen it. Overall, disgusting customer service. Quick to take your money for insurance purposes, but when the equipment is faulty, fob you off.

We’ve paid for a tumble drier repair. Technician came to fix problem and said he didn’t have the parts needed- already not a nice interaction. We were given another date about week after. Then on the date booked we were told they didn’t have the part! They also told us we had to wait for an INDEFINITE AMOUNT OF TIME for the part to arrive!! We were trying to be reasonable and told them, “please call us Monday to let us know where we are with the part and we take it from there”, but they refused to call us!! We had to cancel in the end, after having waited for several days, and with many extra grey hairs given to us by Currys!!!

I purchased a laptop that failed to work at all since date of purchase. Having also purchased the additional insurance cover, I returned the laptop to store on multiple occasions (motherboard replaced etc etc) and it still doesn't work. I returned the laptop again last week and I'm now being asked to pay for an SSD as the original hard drive renders the machine useless. So far I have spent over £730 on a £259 computer that i have NEVER used and they have a cheek to ask for more money for an SSD. I have also been informed that the computer doesn't work unless it's plugged in because the battery won't charge because it has Ironically NEVER been used!!!!!! Disgusting service!! ..... ..(however I wish to add that Adam from the Oldham store, has been the only member of staff who has genuinely tried to assist and I understand he is governed by poor company policy)

DON'T OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT!! I bought a MacBook for £1449 15 months ago. I'm a sole trader but Currys/PC World suggested I open a business account. Makes no difference to me so i went along. Guess what! Laptop is faulty and needs a £500 repair. Currys inform me that the repair is only covered if the machine was not purchased using a business account. What an ingenious way for Currys/PC World to avoid save money. Trick customers into opening a business account and then inform them that they have just lost 1 year of the Apple 2 year hardware Warranty. Very sneaky way to take advantage of your customers who are not aware of the difference between consumer and business law (that's most of us) . Feel like I have been completely taken to the cleaners.

Horrendous customer service. Bought a TV that was badly damaged and had to return 3 times to the store as the administrative process of replacing the item was taking so long. I wasted well over an hour of my weekend so that I could observe how inefficient their processes are. Just not capable.

This company is shocking!!!!..One star is too much!! they picked up a faulty washing machine on Sunday and I still haven't received a refund (now friday) apparently they have only received confirmation of receiving my machine today!! (Friday) I may receive a refund in the next 3-5 working days! Im lucky I had the means to order a new washing machine! Or I would have been without one for nearly two weeks! Whilst they sit on my money! Had nothing but trouble with the washing machine, 1st was damaged, 3 failed deliveries for replacement as they said they couldnt find my address! No phone calls either! Love getting people to wait at my house for nothing! Then it's broken down twice 1st being over Christmas! Waited 3 weeks odd for it to be fixed! ... customer service is shocking!!!!

Bought a Grundig Dishwasher 3 months ago. Phoned engineer after waiting 15 mins and appointment booked for 10 days. Engineer said was repairable and told would need a part. Up to 1 week. Spoke to Currys who have absolved all responsibility to manufacturer. Will never use Currys again😡😡

I bought Acer Aspire 6 laptop which had a product information on Currys website "fast log in with Windows Hello". After I installed the system it turned out that this function is not available on the model (so the website lied). Contacted their customer services, they asked me to go to a local store, then local store asked me to contact customer services etc. No response from them to a few emails I sent them - they clearly do not care about their customers. All that matters is just sell, sell, sell. Very disappointing experience. Avoid Currys !!!

If i could give zero i would , a freezer didn't work from day one , got fobbed off til it was a month old then told I couldn't have a refund. There staff who cannot even string a sentence together (all "innit mate/bruv" types ) These clowns insisted I have an engineer out , who when he did come confirmed within 2 mins it was dead . Even then it took some massive effort for me to get my money. No comp for day off for engineer visit or day off for collection of faulty unit. £30 still to be paid for food inside (valued at £120). Had i got from Amazon a refund would have been made with no fuss this is why Amazon is the king of customer service and Currys is the bottom feeder - I will NEVER buy from one of their stores again and look forward to the day they close down. If you are in doubt try calling your local store , bet you cant find a local number .That should tell you all you need to know.

Went to buy a tv after deciding which one to have payed and had it loaded into my car but after returning home which is a 25/30 min drive I started to open the box which had already been opened and resiled the packet which had all the screws and bits in was already used and the tv had a scratch on the screen 😡 so phoned to complain said I had to return to the hereford store after spending all most an hour return trip in the car and loss of petrol money. And why it takes so long for a refund when it takes seconds to pay I don’t know not happy will be going else where from now on

I rarely spend my time on internet reviews, I tend to give second and even 3rd chances to companies/people, however this time is so bad I need to write about my experience. Bougth an INDESIT washer dryer from CURRYS online. 2 months old washer dryer , dryer it's faulty, it never worker. Engeneers booked 5 times in 3 weeks and never showed up. They just found excuses for not coming and check my washing machine, they do not want to work, they lazy and unhelpful. People at the phone/live chat unsympathetic. Hopefully tomorrow the 6th time will be the lucky one. Very bad customer service. PS Only because CURRYS is not helpful in taking back the washing machine, I would prefer to get an LG as I used to have, good machine and good customer service.
