“The cake itself was amazing! The courier company used & tracking systems were appalling. My cake was meant to be delivered between a set time. I received an email & text to state that the cake will be delivered between 1.30 to 3.30pm. However, this was not delivered until 11.30pm at night. The courier driver couldn’t speak that great English and stated the cake was damaged.”

“I ordered this cake for my registry party so timing was super important. The cake was supposed to arrive from 4pm-6pm with the party starting at 6pm. It ended up arriving at 9pm mid-party so I was already mentally prepared for it to not arrive at all. We had made other arrangements for the guests desserts in that take and the £220 cake went untouched. Why offer a fixed time if it can’t be delivered in that time? I didn’t even get a clear message saying it will arrive later in the day. I recall the text message reading something like ‘if your cake is not with you in 48h call cutter & squidge’ - I ordered specifically for the party so I was super annoyed to read that on a special day.”

“It was nice but it could do with something savoury like a mini pork pie or sausage roll? Too many sweet things for me. Also the loose leaf tea was a bit of a disappointment as I don’t own anything to brew it in without pouring the leaves into my cup.”

“My main criticism is the fact that this cake is overly sweet - mainly the pink frosting. The quality of the cake is itself good, especially the sponge and the jam.”

“It probably would have been a 5 star review but unfortunately DPD left the gift for Father’s Day in the very hot sun on the doorstep on the hottest day of the year! My parents were in but the delivery person obviously was in a rush! Brownies still lovely after being put into freezer but was rather a shame!”

“I ordered this cake for my sisters engagement, it was dry and lacked serious flavour couldn’t taste any strawberry at all. Overall really. I actually ordered from here because we’ve eaten their cakes before which is what shocked us even more tasted nothing like the moist flavoursome cake we were expecting.”

“Ordered cup cakes for my daughter at university. Ordering process and delivery all good. Bit disappointed with product. These were not cupcakes but more like cake pops. Just one bite and at cost of nearly £2 with delivery a bite overall not worth money ! They were delicious apparently but tiny !”

“I ordered the Jubilee Victoria Sponge to be delivered for my mum's birthday but it was delivered without the note I opted to attach. So she received it without knowing it was for her birthday or who it was from. Very disappointed.”

“The afternoon tea was ok. The cakes were slightly strange in texture but tasted good, although the lemon cake had suffered in transit so all the icing was stuck to the packaging rather than the cake. The tea was loose leaf though which was a disappointment when we opened it on our picnic and couldn’t use it as we didn’t have a strainer!”

“The cake that I ordered for my daughter’s bday was beautifully decorated and delivered on the correct day in a nice presentation box. The cake itself was not so impressive in terms of the lightness or the flavour of the sponge. It seemed dry and tasteless. Perhaps attention could be given to this area of the cake as it is not cheap and one would expect for that price a perfect and experience.”
