I want to give zero stars but cant
I want to give zero stars but am not allowed, i am disgusted by the treatment and by the service i recieved in store recently. We had a baby born new years day and went into store to buy a nice warm coat for him as weather has changed so much. The coat was on the wrong hanger and instead of being a 0.3 month it was 6.9 month so useless to us
I went in to change but they changed there exchange policy in December and refused to exchange the size. Most stores these days ask if you want a e mail receipt but not them. So we are stuffed.
Also you can see how downhill the company has gone by looking at the reviews on here and there response to them! Nothing, no response at all.”
“The worst customer service ever. They sent me the incorrect item so I had to pay postage to send it back. I can see my return was signed for by Debenhams weeks ago but I still haven’t had an email confirmation about it or any refund back to my account. I have tried emailing them 3 times about it but they won’t answer my question surrounding my refund!! I am going to try calling when I get a chance but I already know I won’t ever be shopping at Debenhams again.”
“Very bad on delivery had to call after waiting 16days not a good response to emails will not order from you again to much hassle.

“Delivery took a long time and lots of different packages. I am still awaiting some items that said they would arrive by 8.1.20 that aren't here. I'm very disappointed as they missed my sons birthday.”

ordered items online, they took payment, delivered to an address 25 miles from where we live, took a signature for the goods that is not ours, and now claim they delivered the goods and refuse to accept the error and refund the payment. We now need to pursue an independent legal case with them for the refund. Absolutely zero customer service.”

I had to give Toy they sent as it was a Christmas present
For a baby and didn’t want her left out
It’s not right that they sent something I didn’t order
No wonder they are shutting down
No apology when I got in touch just that they would put £10 in my account

“Debenhams, I suspect the five star reviews on here are fake to bolster your reputation and wont help. Your service, delivery everything is now awful it is so surprise your stores are closing. Nothing I ordered over Christmas arrived, even the replacement orders didn’t arrive. Your customer service is a joke, was informed someone from your CR team would call me. Never happened. Complained 4 times and all I got was my money back and a ‘promise’ my call would be reviewed at the end of the year by management to look at how they can improve. It is 4 Jan so I’ll just wait for a year to understand why you’re so shocking shall I? In the meantime, I won’t be shopping with you ever again and will tell all others to avoid.”
“I was a Debenhams customer for decades as was my mother and many of my friends. I used to buy all my Dorma bedding from them, perfume gift sets at Xmas and hundreds of pounds worth of vouchers for Xmas presents. Xmas and Debenhams went hand in hand for me. However, they changed their policy on customer service and, in my opinion, nobody with any sense would shop online with them as they take payment and don't deliver the goods you have ordered. Also known as fraud. I'm saddened that the stores are closing down but what did they expect would happen when they alienate their customers. I see that their customer service employees, based abroad, are writing reviews on here trying to pull the wool over people's eyes but guess what guys, you've been so dismissive of us the shoppers, you've lost a lot of business and in turn you'll be out of work too. The Customer is King and that should always be borne in mind.”
“Absolutely despicable customer service. Ordered an item for my husband's Christmas which did not arrive. Debenhams are insisting on issuing a refund to the original payment card .... Which was a lovetoshop gift card I no longer have.... And that I then re order the item. This really is not good enough. I'm now out of pocket and still no t-shirt for my husband.
I've been going round the houses with various customer service advisors trelling me from their scripts that they are sorry for my inconvenience.... Clearly they could not care less.”
“Placed an order online which says it will be delivered in 7 days. 12 days later still waiting and its unlikely that i will now receive it in time for Christmas. No at all happy. Will not use Debenhams again”
“Hi, I ordered a coffee machine recently, no problems with that. However, someone tried to access my bank account. They provided my 16 digit number and the security number. This was the only purchase I made with this card... fortunately they couldn't provide security details so my account was temporarily suspended.”

“Ordered 6 items for Christmas, 10 days ago. One email to say that 4 would be delivered today - nothing arrived. It took 20 mins to get through to customer services - was told "your items have been lost, we will send them out again but 2 are now out of stock! ". The chap dealing with my query was very nice but.....couldn't confirm when this order would be shipped.”
“Ordered a GREY suit online but was shocked to see that a BLUE JACKET was sent with a GREY TROUSERS (mad matching try), 40R size was sent instead of 42S.
WORST OF ALL A 42S STICKER WAS PUT ON POLYTHENE BAG WHICH LOOKED LIKE A DELIBERATE ACT OF DECEPTION TO HIDE WRONG SIZE OF JACKET.”
“poor customer service no reply to emails so no choice but to call long wait then the usual not really interested or bothered script replies no success just ended up with more of the wrong item? there is seriously something wrong I now have 4 items that I cant find anywhere on the website and none correspond with products on my invoice ? oh the Joy of trying to return these!”
