“This was my first (and last) online order at Decathlon... and I'm not very impressed..! Firstly it took 5 days 'preparation' and 'loading'... despite the items being in stock. Then on the 6th day...finally.. 'order shipped - your item will be delivered the next working day' So I stay in waiting with anticipation for my parcel to arrive, decide to check the tracking number (only to discover that it was not recognised by Royal Mail!) Then I phone up to be advised that it's not actually been shipped at all! - it's still in the warehouse! - so basically Decathlon lies to it's customers.. not great..!”

Regarding your review, we would like to inform you that the estimated delivery date for your order was the 12/05/2016 as the items were coming from the warehouse outside the UK. This information is shown in the basket page while placing the order and confirmed in the order creation and order confirmation emails you received from Decathlon. Your parcel was dispatched on the 12/05/2016 evening as unfortunately our warehouse team experienced delays with the stock transfer. You received the tracking code by email for Royal Mail as it was automatically generated and Royal Mail was able to deliver just on the 14/05/2016. We are sorry for the small delay experienced on the estimated date and we have refunded you already the shipping costs for the order. “I was impressed with the store layout and must say it was easier to check pricing on items in this Wednesbury store than in Coventry. Service was good. Not much else to say really, but would definitely use Decathlon again.”

“We both two 14" bikes with supporting wheels. The boys enjoyed riding them very much. I was impressed they were supplied with front and rear lights. The only issue we have is with the supporting wheels, if it is on a flat surface it is fine. However on normal roads most of the time the driving wheel stays in the air and the supporting wheels are on lower level preventing any motion at all.”

“bought an outdoor table tennis table from the Warrington shop. Marvellous after service, got the table together and was having problems right at the end, - had put a sort of mechanism on upside down. Difficult to explain, I rang the Warrington shop, and someone called Valerio took photos of a table that they had at the shop, they were very clear and I could immediately see what I had done wrong. He also attached a video as well. - Both sent by email. Once I had the photographs it seemed so obvious what the problem was. Many thanks Valerio, table is good, and my boys are enjoying playing on it.”

“I had a vintage road bicycle wheel which was well and truly out of shape; I'd made a real mess of trying to true it myself and had also damaged some of the nipples, it was a real mess! I took it to the Sheffield store and spoke to a charming and thoughtful young man, Ollie, who said he couldn't promise anything but he was prepared to try. He worked on it over the day, a busy Saturday, and called me to collect that afternoon. The wheel was as close to perfect as it could be; to my eye spot on, the damaged nipples had all been replaced with new ones, Ollie was at pains to point out the minor imperfections he was unable to remove. I was and am over the moon, I rode with it the following day and performed perfectly. What a star! What service and at a great price. I can't thank Ollie and the workshop team at Sheffield branch enough. My 'go to' for all future technical issues. Well done!!”

“The whole experience was a good one and the website is easy enough to manoeuvre around. My only problem was with the collection of an item of which couldn't be delivered. I had organised for the pick up to be made by someone who was close to the store as I wasn't from the area but there was a need for the purchasing card to be shown on collection which he obviously didn't have. The situation was solved with a confusing phone call and my item was collected but I think there could have been an easier way to organise collections if the buyer is unable to do so.”

“I was very disappointed with my order as half of it did not fit due the inconsistent sizes of the clothes. Surely a sizing system is to make clothes a standard size, Decathlon appears to be unaware of this and have clothes labelled as large but are actually small or medium.”

“An excellent bike for the money. Much lighter than my previous bike and much easier to use, especially the gear changers and corresponding gear ratios. I use the bike on road and off road though nothing serious. It is comfortable to ride and the disc brakes work extremely well in wet muddy conditions. Anyone wanting a good reasonably priced mountain bike the ROCKRIDER is unbeatable.”
