“Good quality goods at really reasonable prices. I'm really pleased with the goods and all have been exactly how I would have wanted. However, without knowing exact sizes, the shorts I have ordered were a lot smaller than expected and I could have ideally done with a larger size. I haven't bothered to return them to request a larger size as this would have incurred two further postage costs. In future I will not be ordering something where the size needs to be right. In my opinion, Decathlon should introduce free delivery on orders over a certain amount with free returns via Collect+ or similar. I have recently ordered a substantial amount of cycling clothing / shoes from Wiggle who offer this service and I was able to order multiple sizes in things like shoes and shirts etc, and have returned the unwanted sizes free of charge. This gave me the confidence to shop with them knowing that I would end up with the perfectly fitting clothing/shoes, without having to worry about the costs involved in exchanging/returning items.”

“Originally my product was faulty. I rung decathlon and received excellent promises that it would be picked up and a new one delivered. The pick up was fine but after that everything was rubbish. I was promised lots of call backs by customer services to resolve the slow delivery of my item but no one rung back. I had to keep calling every few days... very frustrating. Part of the problem may have been with the courier service they were using to deliver the itenm but the communication and overall experience was poor. It took 3 weeks to get a replacement. I am now happy with a working cross trainer but I had to cancel holiday plans to take deliveries that never arrived twice. I hope this helps.”

“The tennis racquet was a 'gift' from Mail Rewards. Because of that the ordering wasn't quite as straightforward as it might have been. Nevertheless, the racquet was delivered in good time albeit only wrapped in a black plastic bag.”

“check out,leaves a lot to be desired,staff dump items, of clothing into to a pit beside the till then you pay and then try and retrieve them, not very good someone one trashing your expensive new item of clothing etc.”

“The service was good and very quick. However, I do have a suggestion. Having placed my order, I then noticed something else I would have also liked (bike inner tubes), but I couldn't see any way of adding it to the existing order. I would have had to place a whole new order, and pay a whole new £3.99 delivery cost, which would have been more than the inner tubes alone cost, so I didn't bother. Whilst it obviously wasn't your fault that I noticed somethig else after placing my first order, it would have been good to be able to add other items to the first order given it hadn't been dispatched yet, and given the £3.99 delivery cost seems to be standard regardless of the size or cost of the order. Thanks, Graham”

“The Frescobol set was dispatched quickly and the kit we received is great quality. The bats have some heft to them and the balls are very good standard rubber. Overall a great value high quality Frescobol set. Very happy customer.”

“Despite phoning in advance to ask you to save my click & collect order for just one extra day as I was ill (which the staff member said he would do) when I arrived at 9am my order had already been returned to the warehouse apparently at 7am that morning. The staff member who served me was not helpful or particularly interested especially as I had to go to the back of the store to even find anyone to serve me at the tills. There were no staff available at the tills at 9am as they were all at the back of the store having a chat. Generally staff are unwelcoming, unhelpful and unfriendly & appear untrained in customer service & store procedures. As a new store I find this surprising and extremely disappointing.”

“I love the range of equipment at Decathlon, they have the whole range from cheap and cheerful to specialised expensive kit. I have bought lots of stuff from the store and through the decathlon website over the past year and have been impressed with the quality of the products, particularly the down sleeping bags and triban road bikes. The customer services team have also been more than helpful when I have needed to return an item.”
