“Decathlon products are very good quality and exceptional value for money. The stores are fantastic with really helpful staff. However the website could really do with some sizing information, ie measurements for the differemt sizes as these can vary greatly, making it difficult to select the correct size. Delivery on small items is OK, however having to wait over a week for an item which shows as in stock, because it is "large" (the box measured 18" x12" x4") is, in my opinion very poor.”

“I tried to buy an exercise bike. Travelled all the way to the store, helpful adviser on the shop floor, chose product and inputted all the necessary details on a screen with his help and was given a scheduled delivery time (free). Two minutes later at the till, the system had crashed. Told to go home and order online all over again. When I did that, after I had been through the final billing system it came up as 'collect at store'. Not what I wanted, I needed free home delivery, not driving across London for hours to get it. I lodged online complaint. No response. Lodged complaint again. Told would have to cancel and start all over again. Decathlon could not change the delivery at their end. Hopeless. Cancelled. Went to another website, bought very similar product, half the price and free delivery when I wanted it. What a shame as I like Decathlon in France and used them there, and the man in the actual store was helpful and the range was excellent.”

“I LOVE all my trousers, backpack, jacket, socks, gloves and jumper! I order the clothes for my 3 Peaks challenge and it kept me warm and dry through the whole weekend. The reviews are so helpful, the prices are reasonable and the delivery is reliable.”

“I am so disappointed with Decathlon. I ordered 2 all in one swimsuits for a 3 and 6 year old. The impression online is that they were wetsuits. When they arrived, they were not wetsuits at all but standard costumes. I returned the items by post weeks ago and applied for a full refund uysing the online service. Decathlon have stated the items have not been received and I cannot have a refund as I do not have proof of postage dating back to May.”

“I ordered a pair of size 5.5 adidas trainers for my son and a size 6 arrived in the post. Rather than returning via the postal service I went down to my nearest Decathlon store to see if I could exchange for a 5.5 in store, only to be told that there is no size 5.5 available. When I directed the assistant to the website she said they go by European sizes so half sizes don't exist. I got my refund ok but was out of pocket £4 for delivery of an item that appears to never have been available in the size I required (or was advertised on the decathlon website).”

“Great service, but unfortunAtely sizes are wrong for UK. I had to order two size larger to make sure it fits. Otherwise delivery and returns service are really good. I would continue to shop with Decathlon.”

“I opted for a delivery to the store so my bike could be checked over and set up correctly. The young man that served me at your Stockport store was amazing. I have marked lower on the ease of ordering because your machines - all five of them locked up. I was advised this was something to do with it being passed seven and all the systems locked up then. So I had to return home and try and order again. A minor point but why I have not marked higher.”

“I bought hiking shoes for children. On website photos they are with laces( also in descriptioN. I received velcro. 2 orders the same ( i thought its a mistake). Velcro still ok but not as I wanted.”

“My first experience of Decathlon happened to be in India when it opened its first store in Bengaluru (erstwhile Bangalore) in 2009 and since then I have been a diehard fan. Now I continue to frequent it in London where I have been to their branches in Croydon, Canada Waters and at Wandsworth Town and believe me when I say that, "I simply still can't get enough". I'm an avid cyclist and a runner and these form my interests. Of late I have included (pushed is what they say) my family, wife and son, to lead an active lifestyle and Decathlon has helped me immensely in this endeavour. Thanks a ton!!!”
