“It's a bit strange that when you go into the shop and try on an item it's in a UK size, but when you go to order it online it's in an American size? Therefore I ordered the size I tried on but the size bigger came instead.”

“Have visited Decathlon Edinburgh many times over the last few years as well as the online store. Have always found what I was a after and at excellent prices. Many of the items I have bought from Decathlon over the years would cost me a lot more in normal sports shops. For example I bought a bike from Decathon and the equivalent spec of bike from elsewhere was going to cost me £300 more than from Decathlon.”

“Overall I'm happy with my purchase. I ordered online for store collection - it arrived at the store in good time and the collection process was straightforward. Item was in perfect condition and as described online - no problems. The reason I have only given 3 stars is because after collection I continued to receive multiple confusing emails telling me that an item had not been collected and that if I didn't collect the order would be cancelled and refunded. As there was no way to respond to the email and no contact information provided, this meant that I then had to spend time going to the Decathlon website, finding the customer service number and ringing up to check the status of the order and have the system adjusted to show completion - something that should have been done by the staff in the store. This would not stop me shopping in this way with Decathlon again as I understand mistakes happen but it was irritating to have to spend my time dealing with it.”

“Delivery notice was poor. Delivery attempted two days after initial expected delivery, and between 9am and 7pm is too broad a range. Also there has been no medium stock on mid range road bikes for some time - clearly a supply chain issue. There is no online mechanism where one can query when these become available - not having a free format e-mail option but directed to unhelpful FAQ's.”

“Purchased Aigle wellies a year ago (approx). They are sold with a 2 year guarantee and after 11 months they developed a split. I registered the return online and sent them back. New boots returned to me within a week. Fabulous. I am recommending Decathlon to all my friends for their outdoor gear purchases - great service and good prices, well done Decathlon.”

“Service when collecting my son's bike was quick and easy but the bike had a tag on it saying ready to ride despite handlebars and seat not being bolted. Easily resolved but wonder what ready to ride means!?”
