I ordered and paid for a dishwasher and fridge from DID online (items were stated as 'in stock' on the website). I then had to chase up to arrange for delivery. Delivery was organised but then the day before (today) I got an email to say they did not have the items in their warehouse and that they were trying to source them from other stores. When I arranged for delivery and fitting I explained that I would have to arrange to have someone here on that and that this takes organisation and another persons time I was told 'no problem you will have a three hour slot and we will phone you on the morning to make sure this still suits you'. I am absolutely furious that I was sold items that were unavailable. When I phoned the Mullingar store requesting a refund I got a one-liner 'oh sorry about that', then silence, then.....

Ordered numerous items in the Newbridge DID store some weeks ago and haven’t heard anything from them since. Have emailed them numerous times and called to the store and was assured they would contact me with an update on my order but have not heard anything since. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Definitely a store to avoid.

I bought a Fridge Freezer in your Newbridge Store on the 8th August and on the 8th October it stopped working I immediately contacted the store to be told they would get someone from Power Point to call to me within 3 to 5 working days. I rang the store after a few days to be told it was out of their hands now. I called into the store to speak to a manager on the 13th and he assured me someone would call within a couple of days. I9 days later I am still without a fridge and all the food and milk I get is going off. I think it's a disgrace and I certainly will never buy anything off D. I. D. In my lifetime again. I think now I should demand a full refund and they can take the fridge back because if an item breaks down within 2 months I would not trust it again. Very very disappointed with the service.

Never will I ever use DID electrical again I went in to purchase new appliances in Newbridge store adding up to almost 2 thousand euro only to be left standing at the counter for 10mins plus while mag sat there playing on her phone ignoring the fact I was stood there waiting to be served when she eventually pulled her head out of her phone she shouted one the lads be with you in a min.. after this and quotation was done mag completely and utterly embarrassed me and shamed me in the middle of the shop shouting out about social welfare grants even tho I never mentioned anything about a grant she was so ignorant and rude i left the shop feeling terrible and in tears the embarrassment was unfair I contacted the customer help line about this issue only to have insult added to injury I spoke with Keith who promised someone would contact me back and reckoned this wasn’t there protocol but to no surprise no one ever did contact me back needless to say I won’t be returning to spend my 2grand in there complete and utter disgrace of a place

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased from DID Electrical. I am still waiting for a courier to collect a faulty television. It was almost impossible to get through to customer service I left voicemails and email with no response after 2 days. Finally got through and was told a courier would collect television on Wednesday but he never arrived. Worst customer care service I have ever experienced. I would not recommend DID ELECTRICAL and will be posting my experience on review sites hopefully I can help someone avoid a similar situation.

Bought a cooker last Christmas and ye sent it with no grill now i bought a tele two weeks now I still haven’t got it and the assholes in clonmel won’t answer the phone and promised me a call back have confirmation today and no tele will never buy again in DID

DID Electrical are one of the worst Companies in Ireland for after sales service. I purchased a hob and single oven from DID Electrical Malahide Road Dublin 5. I paid €834.35 for these goods which included €80 for installation. I booked installation date on 11th September to have the work carried out on Monday 20th Sept. They never came to install. I phoned Mslahide Road 3 times that morning to sort it out. They said they would phone me back but I never heard from them and then in the day when I got through to them all I got was excuses. Then today Tuesday I phoned distribution and spoke to Helena. She said she would phone me back in an hour and a quarter but never happened. Then at 3pm I phoned again spoke to Laura she said she would me back again I heard nothing. This service is absolutely disgraceful. They advertise they are an Irish Co. in business since 1968. The Management should be ashamed of the service they provide the Irish customers. Catherine Bermingham

I wish I saw reviews before buying anything from DID. Terrible customer service… I ordered coffee machine with milk frother, but received only milk frother. Called many times, each time they said they will come back to me and none of the times they did. Waste of time and money!! Buy elsewhere!

Still waiting for TV ordered on 19th August, it is now 8th September. On order tracking it is still at the "order accepted" stage. They were quick enough to take my money. Phone never gets answered. Will not buy online from them again.

Waiting since last July for a replacement for a faulty fridge. When promised delivery today I waited in all day and no fridge arrived.Very disappointing. Now I must try to contact the uncontactable. By this I mean ( from previous experience)unending phone waits only to be cut off, multiple emails all of which have a heading…..your request has been deemed solved ! Take note DID electrical my request has NOT been solved.

Ordered product. 2 weeks later no sign... rang last week and was told to await a call back wgich never materialised. 2 weeks on, 25 mins trying to contact on phone. Its your loss DID,; will shop elsewhere from mow on

the biggest disgrace of a shop ever, I ordered 6 weeks ago online, waited 3 weeks, cancelled ( after very much trouble to get through, hours on the phone mailbox full) they said refund in 3 to 7 working days., 12 working days on 5 weeks since purchase they are still holding my money no communication, not one apology or offer to make things better, right now waiting on the phone to ask where is my money!!!! avoid if you don't need a ton of problems!!

Oh why, oh why did I not check out the reviews on this company before ordering online. A simple order for an urgently needed laptop which I presumed I could collect next day from my nearest shop....WRONG. Message to say it could be 5-7 days or even longer if not in stock?? Wish to cancel but waited yesterday on phone to customer service for 45 mins before the line disconnected. Phoned again and left msg for a call back. Have sent 5 emails in the last 24 hours requesting a call...Nothing. Does their customer service centre even exist, or is it all a sham? I want a refund of my €540 (in their pockets for 3 days now) immediately so I can purchase from Powercity. Should have ordered from them in the first place (100% better company) but I thought it might be good to spread my custom with other Irish suppliers. Big mistake.

I ordered something 3 weeks ago and still has Not arrived. Customer service is a joke 30 minutes queuing to be told that no record of the call I made the week before and the order had not been moved on. Distater 3 weeks waiting and shops showing now out of stock terrible will never order here again

DO NOT BUY ONLINE IF YOU NEED YOUR ITEM THIS YEAR. Worst service ever. Ordered a coffee machine for my friend's birthday online. It should have arrived by this TUESDAY at the latest.. Its now Friday. The order hasn't progressed since placed at all but I've of course been charged. I've tried calling several times and get cut off after holding at length. I then selected their leave a message for a call back option where they promise a reply within 24 hrs...no call. I've now sent 7 service request emails via their request form and they keep marking the issue as resolved without replying or progressing my order. The item hasn't even reached the picked stage. Facebook is full of similar complaints. The Trading Standards Board should look into this and I will be notifying them of my experience. I'll be adding my order regret to the list of others on FB and twitter tomorrow. What an embarrassing lack of "service". This is starting to feel like a scam @DID.

The worst and unprofessional and dishonest service I had seen . Bought full appliances for almost 4000 euros from there , scheduled delivery then no sign of delivery and not even any contact from them , kept calling Blanchardstown DID and manager answered and said sorry expect to have it delivered tomorrow and that he will follow up . No sign of delivery again and they Don’t pick up the phone. Completly unprofessional and dishonest. Easy to take your money but can’t deliver . That’s to add they lied about having the oven in stock when it wasn’t ( sorry it’s a system mistake - that’s what I got ). They need to be exposed in press - thinking about that now !

Absolutely DISGUSTING, I bought a TV went to the website and scheduled the delivery for Friday, it got confirmed to Saturday and still on Saturday it didn't show up, no heads up no update, i went to the chat online and no explanation why( just that had been a mistake). Remembering that this is a 25 euro delivery, when about any shop anywhere it is free. Expect to be treated like a fool by them.
