"The renewal quote for my wife’s car insurance was £200 more than another provider.p even though supposedly she had a 30% discount for 9+ years no claim bonus. She rang and asked them what the cost would be to remove two named drivers and it was increased by a further £40! Needless to say, she did not renew her policy."

"Unreliable - Will find excuses not to settle the claim. Content insurance details: furniture inside the garage damaged by water. Direct Line Insurance did not settle the claim because they exclude garages as part of the house."

". The advisor gave great customer service, being friendly and welcoming throughout the whole call. . When I asked alot of questions she had all the answers needed and gave them with a patient and friendly manner. . I've experienced bad customer service where you can tell the person doesn't want to be on the call by their tone of voice; however, this was such a wonderful experience to get such an amazing level of customer service that I do hope the advisor gets commended for her actions as it led to a call that I normally find quite a tedious nervous task to being quite a relaxed one."
