Easy to book a repair but everything else just felt hard work. Engineers from different companies with no previous history notes meant the problem took 4 months to resolve. Options for a replacement weren’t what I would have chosen and I’ve ended up with an item I wouldn’t have brought.

The only thing that would have made it 5 stars if they took the washing machine away..I didn't mid plumbing it in but had to pay someone to come collect it to take old machine away

The whole process from finding out my washing machine was not fit to fix to making a claim to choosing a replacement and getting it delivered was so simple quick and hassle free even when we had a question it was answered promptly and professionally top quality service

I am extremely disappointed with the service received under our Domestic & General protection plan, taken out via John Lewis. While the engineer who attended three separate times was professional and courteous, he was unable to resolve the issue with our relatively new fridge freezer. This meant taking three days off work, which has had a real financial impact on us. Despite the fault not being ours, we’ve been issued with a credit note that is not equal to the value of the original appliance. To make matters worse, the specific four door fridge freezer model we carefully chose after thorough research is no longer available at John Lewis, yet it is still available elsewhere (Currys). Domestic & General’s refusal to offer a cash alternative has left us unable to replace our appliance like for like. We are having to compromise on both style and function due to your inflexibility. We feel mis sold this policy. Had it been made clear that we could be left with a partial credit and no option for a direct replacement or refund, we would never have taken it out. It was presented as a product that would protect us from exactly this kind of outcome, and it has failed to do so. We will be left out of pocket, without the appliance we want, and extremely frustrated. We are still looking for a resolution but received a standard complaint letter response. The policy offered through Currys is now better than the one we were sold, which adds insult to injury. This has been a poor experience from start to finish, and I would not and will not be recommending Domestic & General protection to anyone. I will be actively discouraging others from purchasing this cover, which offers no real security when things go wrong.

I called to have my side by side whirlpool ref freezer light replaced on Thursday may 8. Appt for thirteenth, then changed for 15th. I notified comp now frig light out too. Tech came sev hours before appt which was fine and told me they stopped making the part and it's on back order. I called comp. Said maybe 3 weeks to come in for a 7 yr old unit. Why was part not available. They knew make and model. Why insure if you can't fix something. What if unit was not working g. 7 yrs is not ancient

After my tv stopped working, was told tv was gonna be replaced, the tv’s offered to me we not the same brand as the one I had, I had a Sony TV so was expecting a like for like SONY tv, so I had to pay extra to get a SONY tv, miss sold cover policy

Whilst I’m happy that they have replaced my washing machine there was no option to have it fitted which meant I’ve had to employ a kitchen fitter to get it fitted into my kitchen

I had an issue with my washing-drier making and it was irreparable. I am glad I had D+G insurance who fully cover the cost for a new one

Paid insurance for over 5 years to be told installation & recycling wasn't included. I had originally ordered all Zanussi appliances but was not given the choice to have like for like. This made it difficult for installation as shelves had to be rearranged & it was a total hassle 😑 so for future rethink has put me off taking out the cover. To top it all the premiums went up every year.

Tumble dryer stopped working but it was covered by DG insurance and they changed it for a new model no hassle. Delivered within a week and now ready for the next wash load to be dried.

Very happy with D&G, got lots of items insured with them and always been brilliant! My dryer recently stopped working fully and they came out within a few days, couldnt be fixed so they sent a replacement within the same week. Booking was very easy and customer service was lovely. Highly recommend this company!
