My washer dryer was replaced with a machine of their choice not mine which after 5 weeks I still haven't used because it is to advanced for me a pensioner. I have not been able to was for 5 weeks, spent hours on the phone trying to take back the washer as I haven't the room for it and I need to purchase one. I even offered to play the cost of returning it to them But they refused. I have paid 14 insurance for my old washer. I put in a complaint and didn't get a reply until the 30 day there was 3 comments in the letter that wasn't true. WHICH LEAVES ME NOW WITH NO WASHER DRYER UNABLE TO DO ANY WASHING FOR NEARLY 6 WEEKS. I DID EXPLAIN TO BOTH HOTPOINT AND LEGAL AND GENERAL MY SON LIKE ME WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO WORK THE MACHINE BECAUSE OF HIS LEARNING DISABILITIES. Even this didn't make any difference. I am now ASKING YOU AGAIN WOULD YOU PLEASE TAKE BACK THE MACHINE SO THAT I CAN REPLACE IT ASAP SO THAT I CAN CLEAR MY BACK LOAD OF WASHING AS I AM WASHING SOME THINGS BY HAND WHICH AT MY AGE AND HAVING OSTEOARTHRITIS IS VERY PAINFUL. I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO REPLACE THE MACHINE I WILL DO THIS MYSELF AS I NEED TO DO THE LAUNDRY. I HAVEN'T ROOM FOR 2 MACHINES IN MY KITCHEN.

Quick and friendly response Fitter came and he was the same friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up his mess Told me exactly what wrong and what he did to repair the washing machine and showed me the broken parts great bloke and service

The fitter turned up when he said he would found the problem with the machine got the part on his van and replaced the faulty part no problem.

I created an appointment to have my dishwasher looked at. the system online crashed about 3 times and I had to wait to call them or do the appointment tomorrow online. I waited for the next day, booked an engineer to come out in 3 days time. I got a message the next day saying there is a last minute spot that has opened up, would you like this spot instead, i said yes. i got a notification that it was booked and the engineer will come and x date and x time. They didnt. And of course, I didnt get the engineer who was supposed to come on the day that I originally booked either. This was over a week ago and STILL havent heard anything. The company is terrible, my costs are increasing like anything. They are terrible at doing repairs. I wil be leaving them shortly after I get this repair done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I’m very happy with the outcome of the service provided. Not so much with being at the foot of a long queue (9th) for the engineer on the day.

They said the engineer will come out and they gave me a time and he was here and did a very good job I was so pleased to get it working

A fundamental of any insurance cover is to leave the customer with the same situation after a valid claim, ie a working product. This did not happen. I was left with £120 installation costs to get the replacement washing machine in situ and working, for which I was given less than half as compensation when I complained. Won't be using D & G again.
