It came with.a dent in the side. Decided to accept it. I had to wait so long to get a replacement. This being my 3rd machine in three years and 4 months. Got a lower spin time now. The guys' were very professional and quick.

I wouldn’t even give star, but the system is making me, this sums up Domestic and General. They replaced my dishwasher due to not being able to get a part, however sent a new dishwasher with a manufacturer fault… Then the agent quotes, “since this is a second replacement you’ll have to pay the entire policy upfront…”. Brilliant.

They don’t respect my right to privacy. They have now called me 8 times trying to hard sell me new policies. On each occasion I have told them to remove my details from their marketing lists yet they fail to do so. They also wrote off my washing machine but charged me to remove the old one and refused to install it. Really unhelpful when living alone and without any to assist. When I had to call engineers out to look at my machine, they were all sexist and tried to tell me I was just a woman that didn’t understand and my machine was meant to operate like that (a second opinion disagreed with them and fixed it for me). I would not recommend taking appliance insurance from them.

Replacement washing machine ordered by phone, easier than on the website. Check the DWH of machines online before ordering, some were incorrect. Delivery OK but order cancelled by D&G, only delayed by two days. I am retired so more a problem if I had taken time off work. Hoover H-wash 350 Replacement us a good replacement 👌

Still waiting on a washing machine ordered on 16 th April now in to the month of may a total disgrace as I told them I care for a family member who needs a lot of clothing but this did not matter to domestic and general they even sent me the insurance for a new washing machine but could not send a washing machine a joke of a company

Horrendous experience! Signed up for service plan a month ago to get my dryer fixed and the repair company told me nothing was wrong with the dryer that it was the air vent. So we had to spend money on that and the dryer still didnt work. SO they came back and said the dryer was actually broken and they cannot get the part to fix it. I called D & G and they said a manager would get back to me in 48 to 72 and I have heard nothing. Customer service reps claim they have no ability to transfer to a manager. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Horrific experience. Bought a 5 year warranty on a fridge, was "repaired" 3 times by these guys, long delays each time, terrible communications, and fault not fixed and have to start he whole rollercoaster again. They say they will update on progress via email but they never do. Each time you call they say "nothing we can do" and "you just have to wait" After 3 months of running around and throwing out tons of groceries that went off, I just bought a new fridge. Never buying Domestic and General products again - they just give horrible experience and hope you give up and buy a replacement yourself.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received regarding the delivery and installation of my new cooker. The entire process was frustrating and disappointing. Firstly, the delivery took significantly longer than expected, causing considerable inconvenience. Moreover, despite selecting and asking for the recycling service for my old cooker, this was not carried out. This oversight left me with the burden of arranging its disposal myself. When I sought assistance to resolve these issues, I found the customer service to be unhelpful. The only solution offered was to contact a local service provider, which would incur an additional cost of £400. Overall, my experience has been highly unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend your services to anyone based on this encounter. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues to improve your service for future customers.

I had to select one star to write a review but would rate D&G zero from my recent experience. Had D&G boiler & appliance insurance for many years without a claim. At annual service boiler was condemned. An absolute circus ensued, unable to speak with an adviser (told online only), online adviser was clueless as to what I was reporting and kept repeating herself. D&G arranged another service visit after I’d informed them it had been condemned. Obviously condemned again by second unnecessary engineer. No heating or hot water for 10 days. Claim was declined until I put the boiler back on the wall (it wasn’t off the wall). Totally useless, ineffective customer service. However, D&G are fab at pestering the life out of people with sales calls to sell even more insurance cover. BEWARE!

contact in the netherlands is horrible, no available phone number and the one that should work just keeps saying, sorry due to technical issues we are not able to answer the phone, try again later, i've tried every old and new number.

The whole process took too long. It took over 2wweks to get an engineer. Another 2 weeks after chasing it up to get be told I need a replacement. Paid for collection , despite having AO ( install, replace and collection). Delivery guys said that they were not instructed to install. Machine still not installed 😕
