Words can not express my utter disgust with these poor excuses for human beings. A stern warning to all, be aware, be very aware of this company. If you do take out insurance cover with them, you do so at your own peril.

Firstly you ring them (auto attendant) tells you to fill in the online form, you fill the online form in it fails to submit. So you work your way through the autoattendant and eventually get an agent who tells you he's got an engineer coming next day. Engineer doesn't turn up, on ringing the company they've farmed it out to they inform you they don't support your product. So back to the website to complain, waiting for a reply to another form filled in. It's taken me ages and I've spent my time looking at the reviews. How can a company like D&G still keep running with such poor performance? Also the reviews for the company they use are also poor, so goodness know when I'll see a fix!

The D&G phone operator just hanged up on me. And the whole conversation (less than 10 minus) he just keeps asking for my appliance's details (I think they work on commissions bases ) instead of helping and answering my enquiries, Which how a customer service hotline exists

I took out an accidental damage policy with D & G. When I had to claim on it the customer service was appalling!!!! After 6 weeks I had to contact them (as during this time the only correspondance I received from them was a text message to say they had received my laptop) , to which they fobbed me off and told me there was nothing they could do. I will never take out a policy with this company again and have cancelled all three existing policies I have with them. In today's competitive insurance market, the non-existence of customer service received was astounding.

Broken tumble dryer since 15 January. Have spent hours waiting to talk to a human being..... when you get through all they want to do is pass you elsewhere like a game of ping pong.. Take my tip , after being told the earliest engineer date 1st February!! So decided to scrap the 19 month tumble and bought a replacement with next day delivery. Cancelled policy and the stress is gone.!!! Dreadful company who seem to purposely mess you about until you decide to give up. Do not use...

If i could have giving you no stares I would have,still waiting for cooker to be fixed since Dec 2020 next engineer not coming out till feb2021,only needs a part to stop fan from continuesley running,3 engineers later still not fixed,my god they have only got to go on youtube and they will show them what to do,my 3 year old grandson could do a better job ,can not believe how poor they are

Domestic & general agreed to replace my damaged siemens dishwasher under their cover 9 months ago, & proposed some models, none of which matched the larger size of the original. I then identified 3 suitable models from the single bosch/siemens/neff family brand (ie equivalents) & got their agreement to provide one of these, however they've not as yet come up with the goods, blaming it on covid. I have clarified with the manufacturer these are available, however D&G simply sit quiet. When i call them, have to hold for 20 mins or more, & then get passed around from dept to dept, each time with these long waits, & all claiming to not be able to make outgoing calls & do the running around themselves etc etc, & here we are 9 months later, having spent hours on the phone chasing them, to no avail!

They are repeat offenders for calling numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service, which is illegal, trying to sell domestic insurance cover. When they do I leave them to talk to themselves until they realise I've put the phone down, and then report them to TPS. Why do they persist?

Very poor service from domestic and general my 8 wk old washing machine has been broken since the 5th January . I,am a key worker and need a clean uniform for work everyday as well as having a family . Would definatley not recommend this company I have telephoned then 4 times and have been passed from one person to another disgusted in the way I have been treated and still washi G machine .

Dishwasher waste pipe split so called engineer sent to replace cut pipe shorter pulled remainder hard causing base of machine to disconnect from pipe then stated mice had caused it Complete incompetence

First breakdown on tumble dryer and the wonderful service offered when I bought the warranty .... 1st available engineer appointment 1st February. Even though my wife is an essential worker and I am recovering from cancer... nobody gave a @@“t All they do is lie 365 as promised

Having been a domestic and general customer for many years , service is terrible, spent half an hour on phone only to get cut off, then tried later to make complaint, how are you supposed to speak to a person. Will not go with this company in future.

Very poor service....booked repair.....couple of weeks for them to be available then it was a no show....complained.....they escalated me through the complaints route (fair enough) but without attempting to resolve original repair request.....shocking use of FCA DISP complaint guidelines to offset responding to claimants

The biggest load of poorest service ever!!! Been let down, taken time off work, unable to get through, no updates at all - DO NOT SIGN YOURSELF UP WITH D&C worst company ever!!

I would advise anybody thinking of takingredients sort of cover out through D&Green don't as they will tell you anything to get your money I have been trying to get my applincace delI've red since the 17 the December to no avail all I get from customer service is lie after lie from customer service and there managers please before taking any cover with this cowboy company review the Web site to see over 5000 complaints made and all ecnored they are a laughing stock of all companies so people think twice before you entering this company

I have been a customer of Domestic and General for years and years and have always found them to be reasonably good but this year they have been giving lousy service. Missed appointments, bungled repairs and each time a 3 week's wait for another appointment. There are numerous phone numbers to ring but whatever options chosen you always end up getting cut off because they are busy and told to contact them online. If you try to book an appointment online or try to make contact with customer services it automatically cancels at the end. The latest drama has been with our 4 year old Indesit tumble dryer that smelt of burning, billowed smoke and finally went off with a bang at the end of November. Three weeks of wet washing, another cancelled appointment and finally an engineer who didn't turn up at all this morning. Our daughter is a teacher, teaching face to face regardless of the pandemic, she has two babies and Domestic Insurance has totally let us all down. One of the most frustrating and worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered. They certainly don't deserve the one star I had to give them.

Trying to get an replacement been three weeks now. Engineer has seen that washer machine is not replaceable. I still waiting on links on what I can order. Have young children and due to Covid cannot even go out to wash clothes due to shielding. No customer service quick at taking money. At this rate will not have any customer left.
