“never, never, and never rent a car from "car rental easirent"
I wouldn't suggenst you this one, better take a taxi
They catch from you for every penalty ( doesn't matter 1 or 150 GBP) just 55 GBP admin fee for car rental.
So never and never use this car rental, they are really beggar company,
they got from me 6x 55 GBP just for admin fee”
“we booked a 9 seater vw shuttle for a family holiday 3 weeks before we was due to leave we arrived at easi rent in wigan to be told there was no bus available for us and we will have a refund by the monday this prevented us from going on our holiday on the date we was ment to go on. this disapoited us as we have been using easirent for many years and this spoilt our last full family holiday”
“Car hire that never happened and a refund that was impossible to obtain due to a total absence of customer service in Belfast Airport branch. They failed to supply a car, then denied phoning us about it, marked us as "No show", refused to do anything about the refund and the local manager treated us with total contempt. Do not fall for their low prices - you will have to pay for it later! Avoid at all cost.”
“Crooks.
Belfast Int’ Airport - grubby little men in a grubby little cabin a drive away from the terminal. A delay in them picking us up was followed by a problem with them releasing the car. We waited over an hour to pick up the dirty car that was warning us of overdue oil & service. My 2 year old was so upset and tired that check out was rushed. Keith, one of team asked me to highlight all the scratches and damage to the car so that he could mark it down on a clean diagram of the car. He offered no input. Baby now screaming.
There was lots of minor paintwork issues and the car was dirty so I did the best I could under the circumstances.
I drove away feeling like I was being set up...of course I was.
Returned a week later and a different, patronising guy checked the car back in and suspiciously went straight to a tiny (tiny!) abrasion to the lower edge of the drivers side door.
There is no way I caused this damage.
Missing this tiny mark to the paint work at check out cost me £170.
Other customers were loudly complaining to these fraudsters while I was in their dirty little office - please avoid using them - this is clearly all part of their business model... they’re the cheapest at face value.
I have started formal complaint and chargeback proceedings and urge anyone reading this to use one of the other, reputable rental firms.”
“Avoid this company! Don't believe for one minute that its cheaper than any other company. By the time they've screwed you for insurance, extra driver and petrol you end up paying the same. I have my own insurance which would be valid but they wanted to put a block of 1,500 GBP on my credit card. I have a debit card with and have sufficient funds in my bank account, but I don't have a credit card. They would not accept the debit card, my wife has a credit card, she was a named driver (already charged extra for that) but they wouldn't accept her card.
The worst part is that the office is located on a trading estate off the airport. It took ages for the shuttle bus to come then you have a bus full if people all wanting cars at the same time. The same going back, drop off the car and wait ages for the bus to go back to the airport. The car was damaged and dirty with rubbish still in the car from the previous renter.
I have rented with Hertz many times before, their service is a million times better than these jokers.”
“I have rent a car at Bristol Airport branch and it has been a complete nightmare!
During the booking process with Rentalcars, I applied for a full protection cover insurance. Therefore, I didnt take any with easirent.
During our short stay in UK, we had a flat tyre. Nightmare started (no mention to the unfriendly staff, the GPS and insurance options they intended to charge us when they were already paid, the broken key remote control, the never-received electronic rental agreement):
- there was no spare tyre in the car! (which we could even pay since we had no insurance with them)
- the standard contract term and conditions say:
"24/7 Nationwide Breakdown Assistance: All Easirent Branches have national assistance should the renter require it in the unlikely event of a breakdown. You will be given the number and contact details at the time of rental"
"16. b) When informed of a breakdown by the Hirer, to see that the necessary repairs are carried out promptly."
"16. c) If repairs to the hired vehicle cannot be carried out promptly, to provide a substitute vehicle."
However, when we informed easirent, the manager simply said "since you haven't taken any insurance with us, there is nothing we can do", and simply provide the public breakdown assistance number (RAC). We know we havent taken the insurance with easirent, and we didnt intend to charge easirent with anything, but they should have provide us with support as the contract stated. We had to do everything by ourselves, with RAC support, and it took us litteraly 20h...
- when we brought back the car (tyre replaced under RAC supervision), we have been told that some amount will be taken from the deposit since the new tyre is a different brand from the initial one (Uniroyal instead of Nexen). However, this is absolutely not explicitately required in the contract (knowing that Uniroyal is a perfect professional and quality brand).
Incredible!
We have submited a complain and are waiting!”
“Stay away!!! Very bad experience using these scammers! And to top it all: no office at Dublin airport, no shuttle bus and we were told to take a taxi to their premises near the airport. We were to be refunded the taxi expenses. Never happened!
Had to pay a very expensive insurance due to some trick they invented re my creditcard. Not the kind of experience you want to be submitted to after a long flight late at night.
Stay away!!!”
“Easirent Gatwick and all the others one are rip off company I was so disgusted off they tactics to rip you off that I preferred pay to cancel my booking and took a cab home!
Be aware don’t use this scammers !”
“Very Bad customer service , staff extremely unhelpful. Long wait. Ended up buying insurance on top of the insurance I already purchased to avoid leaving a large deposit even though I went for 0 excess. I will never book with them again and I recommend you avoid them”
“Picked up at Leeds Bradford airport. Collected a lovely car. Very reasonable price. Anthony our dealer was very helpful and friendly. Will defo book again.”
“My complaint is with the online booking system. I wanted to rent a larger vehicle than the one I own in order for the whole family to attend my daughters graduation.
I completed the online booking form and the payment by credit card option - all appeared OK.
I hadn't noticed that I didn't get a confirmation email - as I was very busy around that time.
However I turned up at the local Easirent depot at the appointed time, to find that no vehicle had been booked - Easirent had taken the full payment within 24 hours of my completing the booking - I presumed that this meant my booking was complete, but no.
I was told by the staff at the depot that after online payment there was another stage to be completed to 'Complete' the booking - they did tell me that other people had had the same issue and they had raised this several times with the IT department.
The staff at the depot (Wigan) couldn't have been nicer - they tried really hard to get us an alternative vehicle, but we simply didn't have time to wait - we had to squash into our own vehicle which really spoiled the weekend.
Easirent really need to sort out their online booking system to ensure it works right - also they should not be accepting the payment if the booking isn't complete (yes they have refunded me now)/.”
“CarJet.com and Easirent.com WARNING !! WARNING !! are part of the same company
I rented a car from CarJet.com for collection on 29/06/2019 from Birmingham Airport at 12.30 .
My flight Number was EI 3264
The flight was delayed by 3.5 hrs from Dublin and therefore I was unable to get to Birmingham on time.
I rang Easirent.com when I arrived at Birmingham ( as instructed ) and it took them 50 mins to arrive and was then asked to go to their depot to collect the car.
I ( and my family ) proceeded to collect the car from Easirent.com Birmingham and I was told by Easirent.com representative , `` You are over 2 hours late and the car has been given to another customer``
I asked , ``was this stipulation on the Terms & Conditions``, and got no reply!.
I requested another car therefore and I was told, `` The money you paid for the Car Hire is non refundable as you are over 2 hours late collecting it , so therefore you can book another car but you must pay for it again `` , which I refused!
I rang Head Office of CarJet.com and was told the same. `` Sorry but should you want another car you must pay for it again``
I had 4 family members with me and all the luggage and had no alternative but to get a taxi from Easirent Depot to my hotel .
I have checked the Booking with CarJet and can not see any reference to being late collecting the car.

Do Not Hire From This Company !!!”
“Cancelled my van at 1 day's notice. Said that some customers wanted to keep the van longer and they had priority. Seems that a booking with Easirent isn't really taken very seriously by them.”
“Avoid! Long trip from Airport (45 min including pickup waiting), disgusting office reception, unclear policies and bad service. Paid £180 more than the quoted original price on Web. Very unhappy. Never again!”

“absolutely the worst ever for renting a car.
At the pick up they tried to make me by insurance, which I already he'd, by warning me that the rims are very expensive. When I returned the car, after a fantastic trip through Scotland, they walked direct to the rim on the left side of the car where they 'found' a minor damage. a damage impossible to see when you don't bent your knees. Very strange, like they new it was there. This is there business model. scum never again.”
“robbers and fraudes. they forced their own insurrance to me though i had booked and allready payed for insurrance at expedia.com. no help with a flat tire. and as cherry on top of the cake €95,-- charged to my card for fuel eventhough i filled up the tank 3 km away from the dropoffpoint.
real nice thugs.”
“PLEASE DO NOT Rent from (Easirent) Manchester Airport, runs by both asian and english criminals, they negotiate every aspect price elements.
At online seems very cheap. When you collect the car, they dash you with many documents to provide them!!!! finally easy to increase the charges.”
“I never review, most of the time it isn't worth my time. This time I am reviewing with the hopes of preventing another family from getting stranded. The service provided by Easirent, deserves a negative 5 stars, one star is far too high a rating
Never rent from these guys. As other reviews have indicated, even if your booking says unlimited mileage, they charge extra for this. Unlimited mileage is NOT included in your booking. If that were the only issue I would say, now that you know rent from them if you want, but...
My family and I rented a car from them for a stay in Wales. I had to purchase the unlimited miles add for about 8 pounds a day. I drove the car to Wales. We were planning on staying for 4 nights. We needed up staying for 6 nights thanks to Easirent NOT following their contract. The evening of the day. prior to our scheduled departure from the country the car broke down. Here is where the nightmare begins:
We called the number listed for maintenance issues every 2 minutes for 1.5-2 hours before someone answered. The car broke down at 8:30 PM. (first breach of what is in the contract). Once we did get someone, they sent out a local guy (who arrived another 1.5 hours later); which was better than the 3 hours they told us.
He looked at the car and said that the problem was not something that he could fix roadside. So, now it was about midnight and we had no car. Our flight was in the morning and several hours away. We still had the car as no "rescue" (tow truck) was dispatched. Fortunately, my wife, my 6 kids, and I had relatives in the area; with whom we stayed the night, missing our flight to Budapest. NO replacement car offered.
In the morning at 6 AM (opening time for both the office that we rented from and the office we were to return to) we started calling, at about 6:45AM someone finally answered the phone. This started a 2 hour phone call back and forth between multiple parties (multiple EASIRENT locations) after which their vehicle was finally picked up at 9:30AM. During the phone calls back and forth, they indicated that there were NO CARS that could be provided as replacement for the one the broke down (contract violation number 2). This was even though we asked about two vehicles (as we understood that a big vehicle might be hard to come by). We were by the Liverpool location, before I could finish my question, "We have no cars to hire to you".
YES, you read right this company STRANDED foreigners (including 6 kids), 260 miles from London, with no replacement car offered. We had to rent a car (used our relatives to rent it), drive us to the airport, and drive back (as the car rental places local to where we were would not rent one way). This was the first stop in a multiple stop trip, what away to start one's vacation.
During this time, my wife called corporate offices, in an attempt to get them to provide us with a replacement car. She was told by the corporate offices that one would be provided once an assessment was made to why the car broke down. This assessment was to be provided by the mechanic (who came out the night before and made an assessment) and the two truck driver. We asked the tow truck driver about it, he made an annotation in his app, that was sent to RAC. We called after this and the rental company, said they had no idea when the report would come and as such NO REPLACEMENT vehicle for us. The location we were in was somewhat remote and without our relatives we would have been sleeping on the streets, they didn't care.
To add insult to injury, the company then called us at 11:30 to find out why we hadn't yet returned the car. They guy I talked realized while talking to me what the issue was (the car broke down) and couldn't get off the phone fast enough. Haven't heard from them since.
Side note: the car was "rescued" with a full tank, still charged for the 95 Pound hold incase the car was return at less than the 1/2 tank it had when We rented (breach of contract number 3). The hold "incase of accident" (still has not been released from the card 5 days later). So I have at least one transaction and maybe two to dispute with my CC company.
DO NOT RENT FROM EASIRENT!!!! If you have problems they will leave you stranded. They breached their own contract no less than 3 times.”
