“Covered by ebay money back guarantee only applies if you do not email the seller through PayPal!! Ebay do not tell you this!! I was due to be refunded for an item I didn't receive after waiting weeks, but because I emailed the seller through PayPal ebay closed the case automatically and there isn't anything you can do. It is a very unfair and devious thing on ebays part, they pass the book, this seller as done the same thing to many more people and are aloud to keep getting away with, the customers are out of pocket and are being scammed on ebay. I am closing my account due to this, ebay are as bad as the scammers.”

“Be careful 100 times before you buy from eBay. And this includes buying even from the top-rated sellers. Why? Because eBay will remove any negative feedback you leave to protect sellers on their platforms that sell in high quantity. They will make an excuse that the feedback violates their policy, but that's not true. It's just their way to keep selling. Of course, as a customer, you mean nothing to them in front of a seller that keeps selling and benefits eBay directly. They will not protect you! And they will shut your voice down, and if you're lucky they'll issue you a refund and deduct £100 or more from it because you have opened the product as they describe it. A seller sold me a faulty item and refused to refund me! Guess what eBay did for me? Nothing. Amazon is on another level, and they will indeed protect you and ensure to make things right for you as a customer. Believe me, it's worth paying more for Amazon compared to a company that will let you down or even allow that you get robbed by manipulating sellers as long as they're bringing them cash.”

“AVOID! As a buyer you have no protection. I used my credit card to pay for an item, the seller marked the order as shipped, asked the seller for a Track & Trace code so many times but no reply. Contacted Customer Service, all they say is "contact the seller". I can't get a refund, I can't receive my items because the seller never shipped them. I get nothing and the seller has my money! Ebay is a s**t site, they do nothing! AVOID!”

“I don't know why the US Government hasn't stepped in to help both sellers and buyers on this site. They change and add fees both ways at a wim, without regard or remorse. They change policies at their will and if you don't like it, get out? Really, no other online site does this to it's customers. Just remember, when you kick or boot a seller, you also lost a buyer! I'llgive Amazon my 30k a year!”

“Purchased items through e bay seller failed to supply all items and they are rubbish returned and then only got half of refund contacted e bay and after lots of messing around gave up as e bay wouldn’t respond or help lost £10 ! So deleting e bay”

“DONT USE If you ever pay extra for 24hr delivery and it will take 3-4 days for you parcel to arrive, any dispute eBay will not refund your money for extra delivery charge. Very unfair, money went nowhere as free shipping wouldve arrived same time.”

“Goods were never delivered and buyer said they had evidence they were - I was in all day, as I have been in lockdown, and they were NOT delivered. Ebay said the onus was on me to contact the courier. Under the Consumer Contract Regulations my contract is with the seller, the seller has to contact the courier. However Ebay insisted so I emailed courier asking for photographic and signatory evidence of where the item was "delivered". They did not reply to 3 emails. I am without the goods, know I don't have them, and the seller gets away with my £12. Ebay impossible to deal with and I have closed my account. Do not deal with them.”

“Cannot stand ebay anymore and have now deleted my account FOR GOOD. Had a problem with them years ago and I thought I'd try them again... how wrong I was for doing so. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. 0345 NUMBER TO RING CUSTOMER SERVICE IS APPAULING. ALSO NO DIRECT EMAIL AND THE SELLERS ON THERE ARE NOT WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM EBAY AND ALSO WATCH OUT FOR WALLSTICKERSUK... THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SEND POOR QUALITY STUFF AND THEN DENY IT.”

“EBAY GETS ☆ ONE STAR FOR WHAT THEY DID TO ME! I tried Selling a surfboard on EBay Anyways you always get offers I probably took it at $400 So the buyer didn't realize it was pick up only and paid and Money Was locked up in a kind of protection impound account. Until he or I Click the right button test say that the purchase Went through. Once customer realized he did not know it was a pick up only he was in Washington Or another distant state on the West Coast. He contacted eBay or sent me some notes as well saying he didn't know it was pick up only and wanted me to refund I really didn't know what to do without losing some money because somebody has a transaction fee of like 30 bucks maybe more It's been awhile so I kind of forget smaller Details like price. So anyway he reached out to a representative who got ahold of me said there is no transaction fee if there Was a refund get me right I was kind of concerned over the whole deal I've never done anything like this before selling or Bidding for anything but buying I never picked anything up locally but I have bought Stuff online which seems to work Great. Anyways after talking to see a few representatives may be several theThe consensus was I was From everybody On eBay staff was that I Would be able to refund the guyAnd not be charged he would that was the agreement that eBay Put on him in Order for this to go through. Because I didn't trust eBay Once I saw certain fees Lingering Somewhere in the account I don't really remember. So transaction was supposed to happen easy as pie Let's give the poor guy a break and refund him as long as I don't get charged in anyway. And what really happened was they charge me $400 from my personal banking and refunded him At the same time . Remember the money was in in a private impound account for PayPal or eBay I'm not sure it's been awhile anyways they charged me 400 Box that I need to for rent and gave the guy's money back and I still had to pay the fee. It took many hours to get this sorted out thank God after about a week of calling everyday I took it to pay pal and Pay pal surfer Broke it all down to this Malaysian eBay representative I mean it was like a bunch of scam artists working in the eBay Malaysian department that you have to argue That they stole from you by charging you $400 but given the guy his money back out of the impound account. I mean it was a hardship I don't have the extra cash to have somebody just pull 400 bucks for my bank Account. I'm not the brightest tool In the shed but why do I come out 400 bucks less out of my bank account when the guy got paid back from the impound account. It was almost impossible to argue this with the Malaysian support That eBay . Another thank God was that my wife is a walking tape recorder she spent most of the time on the phone several hours I think it was like 8 hours A-day arguing with Malaysian people they stole from and they were saying no You Owed that money. So confidence in eBay selling is already risky especially when somebody can return stuff But when they steal from you outright and try to Covered up in their own paper work. Covered up with managers that literally argue not on your defense but for the gain of Maybe stealing I don't know there is corruption everywhere and I think eBay has thieves within its Management in Malaysia. Ultimately pay pal save the day by saying that the gal was ripping me off and never Should have charged me From my personal account my bank account. It doesn't make sense that they couldn't see I was never paid a from the impound account because the transaction never went through it was like an argument Of word circles listening to my wife On the phone with eBay representatives who really were out for ebay making money or maybe their own dirty rotten thieving Malaysian Mob bosses. When you Go through As many management calls as I did with my wife and myself and not one of the eBay managers could come to the right conclusion that they owed me money and they took money from my bank account it's just dam jacked upAnd then I lost 30 bucks to a sell go through So I just cut my losses. I know it's been some years like within 3 I think what these b******'s need to pay with a badd review because that was high stress Of a big corporation not Policing its dirty Malaysian managers who try to steal from you. I am so often tempted by trying to sell on eBay but screw these b******'s who will scam you by tire up your time and possibly your money like me. They get their money I don't know how many people have been through the same thing I have but they should have never been allowed to take money from my bank account when I never got any from them. The big question why Isn't there a mediator that can resolve things quickly on there and why are they so blind in America as we had some at different times American representatives that were blind to the transactions as well. They should have been able to see that they robbed me 400 bucks and left me high and dry. They are so h*** bent on customers Satisfaction that this totally screw over the seller. This is the only revenge that I have for the loss of time and money trying to sort this out. So Forever FUQ U eBay !!!”

“So I sold one pair of jeans and have been sent 2 bills after the transaction was a finished. I recently just received another one for $5 fr shipping fees. I bought shipping through eBay as they offer less expensive shipping ...... well DONT BE SUCKED IN, DON’T DO IT! I have never had an experience like this on any other selling app. Will NEVER sell on ebay again....use Mercari”
