Hi The AI program used by eBay is a disaster. The best example is the decisions given by AI in cases of conflict between seller and buyer. The fact that AI does not understand the meaning of words, the fact that AI does not understand the context and logic of events makes the AI contradict itself in the same answer, failing to maintain a logical sequence of facts. An example: Think of a judge who listens to witnesses in a trial but being sick is not able to understand the meaning of events and condemns an innocent person to death, that is how eBay's AI is.

I usually had very little problems selling a few personal designer items on eBay via the global shipping, however within 1 day I seem to have 2 issues selling.

First one is a Prada dress a buyer in the Netherlands bought (feedback of 1 over years of being a member) the dress arrived on the 15th, on the 2nd of June she starts a return, because I am nosy, I gave her name in and Netherlands as location and it showed me a social media account where on the 20th of May she posted pictures of her wearing my dress, also the pictures she provided as "signs of wear" are just the dress with creases, no signs of wear. I had to jump through hoops as I had to provide her with a return label and she refused to give me her address, however the time span is very short to provide a return label, so I agreed with a hotel in Amsterdam to use their address as a the shipping address and uploaded the label, eBay was totally unhelpful. So the Global Shipping is a serious risk, previously I luckily had honest buyers.
The other one is a very rare vintage dress, a buyer made such low offers and the conversation was off, you could tell she wanted it for nothing so I decided to go with my gut feeling and block (that was yesterday) then a new buyer with the same post code (you can see the post code if a seller makes an offer) the account created the same day, the same postcode, clearly circumventing the buyer block, I tried to report it but apparently there is no report feature and the "customer service" just sends me AI slop like "if you use the prepaid label you are fully protected" - not sure how that protects me if the buyer damages my item on purpose? Because nobody will look at your evidence, I provided them with screenshots of the buyer from the Netherlands wearing my dress to parties and events, nobody seems to be interested.
Where is the point of having a buyer block if a buyer can just circumvent it with a new eBay name? The name of the bidder in the Netherlands is chschn-31

Been a seller on ebay for 20 years they've started deleting my listings saying they are fraudulent and breaking ebay rules. Phone ebay and they're quick to apologise and blame artificial intelligence. Bunch of idiots don't know why I'm writing a review on here because no one will read this from ebay!

eBay is supporting scammers. Why, I do not know, because they are losing buyers and sellers. I proved that a scammer deliberately sent a bogus mail item to an incorrect address in my town to have tracking show my sold item was returned to me. I had a signed letter by the supervisor at my post office stating that the scammer had not mailed the item to me. He also offered to show eBay a photo of the item. eBay told me they were still siding with the scammer. They chose a scammer over a 20+ year ebay buyer/seller with near 2000 positive ratings. Too bad for them.

Ebay basically allows a buyer to return any item they buy even if its not damged or faulty. All they have to do is say its not as described even if thats a complete lie and you are forced to accept a return......what a farce

I bought a item only to receive another item instead. I contacted Ebay who wanted me to return the item even though im disabled and dont have a printer. I now have to wait 3 weeks for my money back. Considering they have 100% money back guarantee, I think this is shocking the way they have treated me as a 100% perfect buyer. Im buying from amazon in future.

Sold an item on ebay for £500 to find out that Ebay won't give me the money for 30 days. Absolutely no point in buying or selling via this company.

They are withholding payment for an item I sold as they think there is an issue with the postcode i sent the item to despite EBay providing that postcode ! The customer has signed for the item , marked it as delivered and left positive feedback. They have decided to keep my money for over two weeks without any justification and I think if they are doing this to lots of sellers they must be earning large interest fees on our money. It’s hard for an individual to get anywhere with a huge company like EBay and this feels like systematic fraud on a huge scale.

30 year Ebay buyer & seller here.  Someone wanted to buy something from me from overseas. I have never shipped or sold overseas before but the buyer begged me.  So I got a hold of ebay on the phone & the agent walked me through the whole procedure. The measuring & weighing of the package, then Ebay would sell me the label, sold, shipped & hand delivered to USPS as the label says.  I hear 1 1/2 months later the buyer never received it.  I went through shipping info & yes I dropped it off & it went on its way but sometime at : Departed Asendia facility BELL, CA, United States, BELL, United States It's just vanished. No fault of my own but Ebay is blaming me & charging me back $165!  They said there was insurance I can claim for $100 but I have to do all of that myself (copy this, screen shot that)  Hey I am a disabled senior now & it makes it very hard on me, plus all the rest I just have to eat.  Why would they under insure this package? I had no control over that.  Also the ebay fees, taxes & cost of postage.  Why do I have to pay? I did it by the book here.

27 years selling on site with one legit negative from an item being out of stock. A handful of negatives from scam buyers. One from a scam seller back in the days when sellers could leave negative feedback. One negative left by accident back in the days when buyers could not edit feedback. Not a single chargeback from a customer. Then one day eBay sends me an email asking for receipts for items I listed or sold over the last 60 days. Emails state: "Documentation that will help us verify your items can include either manufacturer invoices or receipts." "This documentation must show your suppliers' information, items purchased, quantity purchased, price per unit and your payment information." "Make sure your documents are current, valid, and legible. Your name and username should appear on each document." Most of my items are vintage and antique. The vast majority are purchased from public auctions in bulk lots. At a auction a bidder will receive a bidder card and a small clerking ticket for each lot purchase with only a general description listed. Thus a large lot of ten boxes of books will only have "books" entered on the clerking ticket along with the bidder number and the amount bid. No itemized list of items are provided. The method of payment and my name are not indicated on these. Most of the items purchased at auction are in storage and were purchased years ago, but eBay only wants current receipts. Receipts from thrift stores will only have a generic description such as "miscellaneous" or just a transaction number since they do not have computerized inventory. A manufacturer has nothing to do with any of the items I sell. Most manufacturers will not sell directly to the public anyway. Purchasing small quantities of items from a manufacturer would not make economic sense unless your goal is to loose money. eBay's attempt to blackmail sellers into obtaining their personal data to sell to third parties. eBay also wants to terminate the accounts of old sellers who know all of eBay' dirty little secrets. eBay wants ignorant newbs to sell on their site who don't know any better and will simply obey without question. Disgusting evil company run by sociopathic managers. Customer service are compulsive liars.

I ordered a car product. The seller was madeus I believe. The order never arrived but tracking says it did. I am strongly informing ebay and the seller that my order never arrived. The seller is avoiding the issue and placing the problem on the carrier UPS. While I'm trying to find out why it was not delivered. The seller says that UPS gave my order to Brian. I don't know no Brian and raised the fact that why would it not be delivered to my apartment. Both ebay and the seller avoids. And it was said that UPS gave it to the wrong person and they ebay and the seller won't accept responsibility. This is so unprofessional. Customers pay for items that are not delivered and then the ebays of the world cares less about the customer receiving their orders. I never will use the seller. And I have doubts about ebay as well

Do yourself a favor pay a little bit extra and get it somewhere else. eBay has a veil pulled over their eyes and allow sellers to use lazy descriptions that they picked up off somebody else’s website or post and also does not care to help any customer make it very difficult to even get help eBay has gone all the way to the bottom.

Ebay vendors are the worst. Slow response times when there is an issue. Poor quality products. Seems like everything on Ebay now originated in China. Very small percentage comes from the United States. Try and get Ebay to help! What a joke. No HUMAN BEINGS anymore its all AI! ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Endless AI loop with no results. Ive been a member for 15 years, BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! STOP BUYING AND SELLING FROM EBAY. Let the Chinese have it. Mike Armand

I was a customer for 20 years and only bought with the money-back guarantee. Now we have sellers who sell sneakers and shoes from China and don't disclose when they sell products from that country, and size 7 is actually a size 5, and size 8 is a size 6, because everything that comes from China or Asian countries is small. This seller sent me a shoe two sizes too small. I complained to him, and he was very rude, and eBay didn't care at all! So I decided never to buy from eBay again, and don't believe in the money-back guarantee, because it's a lie!
