I won this ring in an auction, and the seller listed it as 0.27 carat. The appraisal they had done before listing it. I can also see that the diamond is quite substantial. However, eBay stated that, judging by the photos, it is not 0.27 carats. Because the ring band is large(size 9.75), trying to gauge the size from eBay photos alone leads to errors. Wedding rings like this sell for over $1000 on eBay. I just list it 699. I paid a premium for it. I sent it to the address of the GIA that top-tier jewelry grading company( the buyer address). The buyer was a jewelry appraisal expert. This is absolutely ridiculous. He bought a cheap wedding ring. You’re actually forcing me to give him a refund

I HAD high faith when it comes to shopping on EBay, since I have been a member back in 2006. The biggest purchases I made on EBay were three separate cars. That faith was RECENTLY SHATTERED WHEN EBay failed to protect me as a buyer. Ebay made me pay for something that I have never received. The tracking number provided for me wasn’t even intended for me. I had confirmed with FedEx, and I was told that shipping name and address are not even mine. As a result, I was not allowed to file for a claim for a lost package. Ebay rejected my appeal, and made a final decision that I will be chargeD for the item because the tracking shows it was delivered. Thanks EBay for helping me realize that you are not the same anymore!

So on July 1st I put some basketball up for auction and the buyer when they won accidently selected local pick up. Now I live in WV and they live in Texas so for 6 days I tried to contact the person about the delivery. They finally responded with "are you going to ship my stuff". They realized that they made a mistake with the local pick up so, I got their adress shipped it out with a tracking number that I provided them with. Well it took 5 days to be delivered and between that time I asked EBAY if they could switch it out of local delivery on their end so I can get paid. Ofcourse they told me no and that once customer received the item they could give me a 6 digit code so I can get paid. Well I also at that time gave EBAY the tracking number to the package and tried messaging the customer if they could give me the 6 digit code. The item was delivered I got paid so everything is all good right. WRONG!!! The customer told EBAY that the item was NOT delivered so EBAY set up a so called investigation into the matter but, in less then 24 hours they sided with the customer. I gat an email about their decision so I fought it and sent EBAY the tracking number a 3rd time. Well they came back with that I still owe and no tracking number was provided. So thank you EBAY for nothing I will not buy/sell thier ever again and if the total that I am being charged with was worth a lawyer I would sue but less then $200 ain't worth it.

Poor selling and buying platform. I have been taken advantage of both as a buyer and seller. No human seems to be involved. Amazon is much better.

I was charge £26.70 for buyer protection, they do not charge this when buying cars on ebay, but when you buy a motor vehicle trailer you get charged this even when you go and pick it up like you do cars so what’s the difference, it isn’t like it’s getting posted and there’s a chance of it getting lost

Literally, just stole my money from selling my own items and customer services closed the case without adequate explanation or reason. I will have to go through Financial ombudsman to try to get them penalised and get my money back. Very unethical and low quality behaviour. Better to use Etsy or Vintage or Amazon

I BOUGHT AN ITEM THOUGH E-BAY FOR $106.88 AND NEVER RECEIVED THE ITEM. I E-MAILED EBAY SEVERAL TIMES TO HELP ME GET MY MONEY BACK, WITH NO RESPONSE BACK FROM EBAY. THEN I UNSUBSCRIBED MY E-MAIL ADDRESS FROM EBAY, AND I LET EBAY KNOW TO NEVER E-MAIL ME AGAIN--NO EXCEPTIONS.

Hi The AI program used by eBay is a disaster. The best example is the decisions given by AI in cases of conflict between seller and buyer. The fact that AI does not understand the meaning of words, the fact that AI does not understand the context and logic of events makes the AI contradict itself in the same answer, failing to maintain a logical sequence of facts. An example: Think of a judge who listens to witnesses in a trial but being sick is not able to understand the meaning of events and condemns an innocent person to death, that is how eBay's AI is.

I usually had very little problems selling a few personal designer items on eBay via the global shipping, however within 1 day I seem to have 2 issues selling.

First one is a Prada dress a buyer in the Netherlands bought (feedback of 1 over years of being a member) the dress arrived on the 15th, on the 2nd of June she starts a return, because I am nosy, I gave her name in and Netherlands as location and it showed me a social media account where on the 20th of May she posted pictures of her wearing my dress, also the pictures she provided as "signs of wear" are just the dress with creases, no signs of wear. I had to jump through hoops as I had to provide her with a return label and she refused to give me her address, however the time span is very short to provide a return label, so I agreed with a hotel in Amsterdam to use their address as a the shipping address and uploaded the label, eBay was totally unhelpful. So the Global Shipping is a serious risk, previously I luckily had honest buyers.
The other one is a very rare vintage dress, a buyer made such low offers and the conversation was off, you could tell she wanted it for nothing so I decided to go with my gut feeling and block (that was yesterday) then a new buyer with the same post code (you can see the post code if a seller makes an offer) the account created the same day, the same postcode, clearly circumventing the buyer block, I tried to report it but apparently there is no report feature and the "customer service" just sends me AI slop like "if you use the prepaid label you are fully protected" - not sure how that protects me if the buyer damages my item on purpose? Because nobody will look at your evidence, I provided them with screenshots of the buyer from the Netherlands wearing my dress to parties and events, nobody seems to be interested.
Where is the point of having a buyer block if a buyer can just circumvent it with a new eBay name? The name of the bidder in the Netherlands is chschn-31

Been a seller on ebay for 20 years they've started deleting my listings saying they are fraudulent and breaking ebay rules. Phone ebay and they're quick to apologise and blame artificial intelligence. Bunch of idiots don't know why I'm writing a review on here because no one will read this from ebay!

eBay is supporting scammers. Why, I do not know, because they are losing buyers and sellers. I proved that a scammer deliberately sent a bogus mail item to an incorrect address in my town to have tracking show my sold item was returned to me. I had a signed letter by the supervisor at my post office stating that the scammer had not mailed the item to me. He also offered to show eBay a photo of the item. eBay told me they were still siding with the scammer. They chose a scammer over a 20+ year ebay buyer/seller with near 2000 positive ratings. Too bad for them.

Ebay basically allows a buyer to return any item they buy even if its not damged or faulty. All they have to do is say its not as described even if thats a complete lie and you are forced to accept a return......what a farce

I bought a item only to receive another item instead. I contacted Ebay who wanted me to return the item even though im disabled and dont have a printer. I now have to wait 3 weeks for my money back. Considering they have 100% money back guarantee, I think this is shocking the way they have treated me as a 100% perfect buyer. Im buying from amazon in future.
