“Sold a brand new Xbox series X on ebay without any fore knowledge on how absolutely ridiculous their fees are. Long story short after promoting and then selling it for $280 i only received $177 for it after these greedy motherless phucks bent me over with all their "fees" PLEASE learn from my horrifying mistake and sell your stuff literally ANYWHERE else, lest you don't mind being bent over and and dogged from behind with a sand paper condom!”

“Ebay is a company that fails to follow it’s own policies. The defend buyer and refund them, no questions asked. In my case, I sold a new sheepskin jacket. After 21 (!) days of use, the seller complained that there were two stains on it and wanted a refund. I obviously refused. Ebay answered to NONE of my mails, refunded the buyer and let him keep the jacket. Now they want to get the money from me??? That’s surely not going to happen! PLEASE BEWARE IF YOU USE THIS FRAUDULOUS SITE! In case of problems, they will not help you in any way!!!!”

“I ordered 4 items in the 31st August 2023. 3 of the payments went through, the last payment was stopped as 'something went wrong'. I then received a message that my account has been permanently suspended as my pattern of activities pose a risk. After 5 queries, I received no explanation whatsoever with a reply of 'no further opportunity for appeal on this decision'. This is a personal attack on my integrity and a very sad state of affairs. Clearly, eBay has no idea what Customer Relations means. It looks like I am fortunate as some of the reviews that I have now read are really scary and I can be considered lucky to have been one-sidedly cut off from any further transactions.”

“I have had a bad experience with eBay. First the quality of trouser I order was very low rather poor. On the other hand eBay has a sadly a very bad return order system when I was returning the order back I by mistake clicked the return close button and the close return mean permanently close I can not ask for return and refund now. It was just 15 pounds not a big refund but I will think hundred times to buy something on eBay. Thank you very much eBay I am very sad and unsatisfied.”

“I have been an Ebay user for years, buying and selling. I had a high seller rating, and purchased form a lot of great seller. Ebay at some point had lost all my information and I had to start back from zero, Ok so I will just build it back. In 2015 redid my account, not so much to start selling, but to buy things. With that being said, since then I have had a spinal cord injury and became a quadriplegic and it has taken me awhile to get back to doing things. This past week I started selling again, because I'm on a very limited income. I made a couple of sales, but they would not release the funds because they didn't show any past history, because they had wiped out my prier account. Long story short, I need the funds to be able to pay shipping, and they won't release the fund to me so I can ship. Even though the lost all my older information about being an A+ seller. Ebay has had other issues, but im done, plenty of other platforms to use online to sell, that a definitely more enjoyable and less headaches.”

“Second time in a year that a seller has taken my money but 'forgotten' to send the order. Tired of chasing up orders. Now eBay are giving me the runaround with endless requests to reset my password and log in - again and again and again.”

“One star isn't even deserved for this joke of a company. I have been waiting nearly a MONTH to receive my funds from a sale, and a week before they are due to be released, eBay suspends my account and will NOT tell me why. The agent just parrots some BS scripts of "we're working on it" and will not tell me anything at all. Their practices are criminal and swear they are trying to swindle me out of my earned funds from my sale. DO NOT use this company. They will waste your time and steal your funds.”

“Bought a metal lathe for four hundred fifty five dollars from lucky star they said it was delivered the day they said it was delivered I was here all day an seen ups FedEx an the post man go buy I turn it in after the dealer gave me a fake tracking number an eBay wouldent refund my money so ebay's guaranteed or money back is worthless I'll never buy anything from them again I just lost my money to both scammers”

“I have been with them for close to 20 years and they have dropped so badly in the past few years i now use other methods on most of my items. First: did you know they actually have increased their percentage to 13.25% plus 30cents now. They also charge their 13.25% on the Taxes that the buyer pays on the purchase so if it is $10 in taxes, they charge the 13.25% which will cost you $1.32 cents. They told me it is for the complete purchase and talk about double charging??? This is it. I also found out we as sellers CONNOT LEAVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON A BUYER. I was so upset to find out that a buyer can leave negative feedback in seconds but we are not able to do so. So they buyers ALWAYS have 100% positive feedback, no matter how much they screw us sellers over. I was on the phone for almost two hours to leave negative feedback on a seller which would only take them 30 seconds to do so then us sellers will have to spend hours on the phone to get it off if it is unwarranted as a lot of times it is. All in all, eBay is the most on sided and the most despised selling site on the web anymore. Again, I have almost 20 years with them and now only sell MAYBE 10% of my items on that site and now really looking at getting out like so many have been now.”

“Being discriminated be EBay Being discriminated be EBay. They suspended my account without providing explanation why. I did nothing wrong and they told me I’m ‘putting at risk safety and integrity of their members’. Such a slap onto face, they didn’t provide any actual reason at all, because ‘it’s their policy not to disclose that information’ They take responsibility for nothing, provided no explanation for saying that I did something to breach integrity and safety, and I feel badly covertly discriminated against.”

“DO NOT SALE ON THIS SITE!!! They hit you with high fees and then hit you again with higher fees after that they get you with the hidden fees. After that they just sneak the money right out of your bank account with no explanation at all. I flip storage lockers and get good items dirt cheap and struggle to break even. RUN”

“ebay charged me $55.83 for not selling an item (I set the price, I could have chosen any value and they charged me about 20% of the value: EVEN UNSOLD AND CANCELLED) They also held the buyers money for over two weeks after the buyer and seller cancelled the transaction. The buyer complained their money was being held and ebay chat representatives used this as justification for charging me $55.83. The other representatives Horrifying.”

“After 19 years with eBay I think our relationship is at an end. I recently had an item returned that turned out to have been damaged by the buyer, it was brand new. The buyer got eBay involved 24hr after it was returned even though eBay gives the seller 48hrs to refund a buyer. eBay refunded the buyer before I even had a chance to check the item. eBay then kept the £35 final value fee they had taken for the sale. ROBERY. eBay says this is in their T’s and C’s well so what it’s effectively theft.”

“Ebay has raised their fees and it is not worth selling anything on eBay anymore. I sold and item for $200 plus shipping $28, plus tax equaling to $244. They will charge you selling fee on shipping and sales tax. Not sure if that’s legal. They should be charging fee only on the item sold. Two weeks later they are charging my account $18 for additional shipping. Don’t use their shipping, chose your own. It’s a scam site. You are better off selling on offer up or other app.”

“List items for auction.Ebay take a listing fee and introduce a buyer ..They have the opportunity to regulate the buying system by taking card details or some sort of deposit from buyers so they don’t back out and get away without paying .This is a simple process and pretty much every auction company in the world does this ..Ebay don’t and when the sale falls through they charge again for relisting ..unlike most auction companies worldwide ..If the buyer backs out via an auction they will re enter for no additional charge ..Not ebay I feel this is appalling on behalf of ebay and they are ripping people off ..”

“I bought a MacBook Pro M2 14” on eBay and paid in full. I did not see the item delivered in my mailbox nor it is anywhere near my mailbox on the same day and time where the tracking number says it was delivered in the mailbox. I sent a message to seller immediately after I didn’t find the item, asking for signature proof and copy of shipping label where it says it is my address. I never got reply from the seller with answers to my questions about the shipping label copy. I contacted eBay customer support explaining the situation, I wonder how can anyone know that a laptop can fit into a mailbox. USPS confirmed it as seller fraud who sent 3ounce weight of package to a different address in same zip code with that tracking number. eBay supervisor I talked to did not care to resolve by getting my answers about macId, shipping label if the seller sent to my address, instead they closed the appeal in favor of fraud seller. I reported this to my financial institution. I suspect eBay itself is involved in this scam after reading similar reviews about eBay on internet.”
