“eBay is dying. Long gone are the days of actual protection on eBay. A chinese scammer just got users for about $5,000 in one shot and if you didn't use paypal you got screwed! There are several users doing this and eBay doesn't seem to care. never got my money back”

“EBay is the ABSOLUTE WORST They need to chisel their headstone cause EBay is dead. If you are a dead beat then EBay is the perfect place to screw sellers over. EBay doesn’t protect the seller in anyway whatsoever. What EBay forgets is that the seller is the only way they generate funds. The buyer doesn’t pay EBay a single penny. My suggestion find anyway you can to sell your items other than EBay or you will regret it.”

“eBay end a case against me. They did nothing to protect me and now I have probably lost my merchandise. If you're unlucky and you sell to a scam, eBay won't protect you. So here are the details of my problem. I sold a RED Valentino skirt to a lady and when she receives it, she claims that it's not authentic because the tag of the skirt it's inside and it's in plastic. Plus that brand doesn't have those kinds of tags. She hasn't collaborated at all, all she cares it's what eBay will say. First of all, she provides two photos. In the picture, you can clearly see that the tag is made of fabric. There's no plastic as she claims. Secondly, no brand will put their tag outside especially when it's a cocktail cloth. To finish, I provide a direct link to the website of the brand. It shows a dress, we can clearly see the tag which it's the same but bigger because it's a dress. So when I provided all that, eBay did nothing else than ask me to do the refund and pay for the shipping fees to have my merchandise back. They say that they are also protecting sellers but this is only words. They were not able to say that my merchandise isn't authentic but didn't leave me other choices but loose everything. I won't buy or sell on eBay anymore because they won't protect me if something like this happens. I was lucky before that case. All the buyers and sellers were honest so I didn't have any problem but now I can clearly see how they manage our problems. They support scam so good luck if you're honest and you do business or even buy here.”

“im a seller up to 5 years im fed up with continuations auto returns and false customer claims, forcing sellers to pay for a label to ship back with ebay automatic accepts returns then forced to give a refund even if there is nothing wrong with the item, it really is not a safe place to sell anymore with there automatic system and the ebay will mostly side with the buyer its not worth the time and effort anymore for me to sell”

“I sold a new Honda exhaust system on ebay and the buyer sent back an empty box. Ebay the over drew my account $250 costing me $40 in overdrafts. After many failed attempt to contact anyone who didn't speak German their was nothing they could do. I contacted PayPal and finally got through to someone who helped so ebay=useless Paypal=responsive.”

“Every 2 or so years when my husband and I upgrade our electronics, I sell the old ones on Ebay. I'm always very honest, take several pictures and triple check to make sure the phone is in good working order. I sold a Note 8 on Ebay. The woman received it, said she was happy and gave me positive feedback. A week after she had it. She said that Verizon rep told her it had ghost images, wouldn't charge right and couldn't be activated. NONE of this is accurate. I carry insurance on my electronics and they actually have a warranty on them. If ANYTHING was wrong such as charging...it would have been replaced for free. Ebay automatically approved her refund request and I haven't even received the phone back as of yet. Where is the seller protection? I will not utilize Ebay for selling or buying. I'd rather do business locally.”

“Ebay does NOT back the buyer! A seller gets your money then ships (or says they do) at their leasure....give me a break!!!! Ebay states they cannot back a thing until the seller is given the opportunity the rectify a problem.....PROBLEM IS THEY DON'T CARE TO SHIP!!!!! Ebay sucks and that's a fact!”

“I ordered 2 oz of Teff grain from a seller by the name nobeanstonight (should have known better) on or about February 14, and have not recieved the grain and have not recieved help or a refund from either ebay or the seller. I can't message the seller anymore, paypal has no record of the purchase though it shows in my bank account. Some would say, "it's only eight dollars!" But it's my eight dollars. I will not be doing business with Ebay in the future. Sticking with AMAZON, whom I've never had this problem with.”

“Are you a honest and just a regular privat seller? Stay away from e-bay, you have been warned. E-bays rules are so biased and harsh, you will end up loosing both the money and the item you sold. Ebay rules for sellers are scamers paradise. I got ripped off my coat, my money and my time. There are unscrupulous buyer who open a claim directly with eBay, like in my case, who it issues an automatic refund without any evidence from me being considered. I wrote dozens of emails to ebay customer service, prove the fraud,but nothing happens.The buyer is under ebays lavish "buyers protection" and she knows that.”

“I was scammed on shipping address and thus my camera did not got to actual buyer. It appears I am out $950! eBay cannot do anything about it according to ebay phone person. As a result I will be cancelling my eBay account once the issue is settled. Please beware of address scams if you are selling an item on ebay.”

“eBay encourages customers to leave feedback so it'll be a safer community. But what sellers can do is just call eBay and ask the negative and neutral feedback to be removed. Just how the seller @wisconsinvintage312 did. What's the point? They just want the money.”

“They don’t back the buyer seller sent something saying it was ups but had no ups letter. Called eBay when I found out ups couldn’t find my package stayed I had tried to reach seller but had gotten pretty flakey responses asked eBay to look into it for seller should tell them what happened if seller wouldn’t respond to me. eBay said they don’t do that. I won’t shop with them again because of it”

“This website sucks. I bought hand sanitizer then the seller removed the item. I asked them for canceling and they said they will send me refund. I was waiting and they did not refund to me. I kept contacting and contacting them but no answers from them. I lost my money. Such a fraud”
