“I have been using Stihl Products professionally and and personally for over 40 years and feel that every time I make a purchase I am treated like an uninformed customer!”
“When l emailed asking for a battery to replace one that wouldn't hold a charge and got a reply simply saying only the dealer could replace the battery l was not happy. All you want is to make me pay more for the dealer and yourself. It's not rocket science to replace a battery. So to solve my problem l bought a new blower just not Stihl.”
“Love this product! Very light and easy to use. My only concern is when I tried to clean it, the chain came off and I am not sure how to put it back together as I am not very mechanically inclined.”
“I own 2 Stihl saws 1 TS500I concrete saw and a MS261 Chain saw: Both are just a pain and are to finicky to run. The TS500I saw is constantly in need of attention and the same with the chain saw. After 2 years had to replace primer bubble - $200.00 top replace. Always very hard starting. I always use premixed fuel from Canadian Tire I was told by the Stihl dealer that fuel was not good enough. Now I have to change the sensor and injector $650.00. The same holds true for the chain saw. Well enough is enough I will scarp both pieces of junk and switch to Chinese cheaper and cheaper to throw away at a 10 % of the cost for the German scarp. Have a nice life Stihl!”
“I am writing a review about the Stihl FS91 gas powered trimmer/brush cutter. I own a Stihl chainsaw which has worked perfect for years. I was in need of the brush cutter to cut trails, cut back alders, etc as I have a work related physical disability which extremely limits my mobility. I purchased the FS91 in mid October and with my son helping we began to cut the trails. Within 5 minutes of starting the unit for the first time the unit began to vibrate to the point of it being hard to hold onto. My son shut the motor off at that time and the shaft coming out of the motor was so hot you could just touch it for a second. The plastic guard leading from the throttle to the motor started to melt and left black residue on the shaft casing. I contacted the dealer where I purchased the machine and was told that it could not be returned for another unit and they would only be able to look at it for repair. This was done and they had to replace the clutch, clutch housing and bearing!! The dealer, Green Diamond, was great to deal with however I was not overly excited to take the not so brand new unit back with all the parts replaced however there was no other option. I hope the unit works better at our second attempt to us it but trust me I lost some confidence in the machine and Stihl for not replacing it as again this happened with 5 minutes of operation. The cost was $599 plus tax, not cheap and I certainly expected more from my purchase.”
