I’ve had an absolutely terrible experience at Evans Cycles, Leamington Spa. I bought a Brompton Superlight from Evans Leamington eight months ago: seatpost rusted and handlebars could not be adjusted. I returned the bike to Evans Leamington a little under five weeks ago and collected yesterday . I had to call every Friday for three weeks before they began investigating the issues; each call being treated with utter ignorance of the situation. Upon collection, not only were the handlebars and brakes covered in scratches but the entire cabling set-up was incorrect; thus the bike could not be folded. I had to strip the handlebar furniture and reroute the cables to get the bike home. In addition, the front wheel nut protector is missing. I could not be any less satisfied. I want to replace the handlebars and right-hand brake lever but cannot trust Evans to do the work without incurring more damage to my beloved Brompton.

Evans stole my money I bought a saddle in red (because this was the cheapest colour) in september 2019 online. Evans cycle couldn't deliver because they said, they were out of stock. So far so good, mistakes happen. Other customers recieved the same saddle in black instead, I would have been fine with that, too. Evans refuse. But the say, they will have stocked up in februrary 2020. I wait 6 months, Evans writes me, they have no red saddle in stock, I write them, " send the black one instead". Evans don't react to my emails. Evans write my, they can not refund my money via paypal because of reasons. I have to call them and give this missmanaged and unsecure business my credit card details. I write them an email- no reactions from evans. After a month, they send me a voucher for their store, which is completly useless for me. Thanks Evans Cycle for stealing my money.

I am shocked and dismayed to have just received an email from Evans Cycles saying that I will not receive a new bike I purchased until February 20th. I purchased this bike on January 3rd and having to wait seven weeks for delivery is absolutely NOT ok!!! When I initially spoke to someone in one of your stores, they told me it would take around four working days to get the bike. I then received an email saying it would arrive on Jan 10th. Now, I get another email saying delivery will be Feb 20th, with no apologies or explanation as to why there is a massive delay. I rely on my bike to drop my son at school and commute to and from work. In addition, it is my main source of exercise.  Really shocking service!

I had several issues with a bike order and staff just didn’t seem incentivized to help. I ended up wasting hours and weeks making phone calls, unnecessary store visits, and several back and forth—including an inconclusive trip to a store far away, to which I went upon my local store’s staff’s suggestion— because nobody really knew what was going on with my bike. I eventually got it, an one of their employees apologized for the mix up. But it really gave the impression of being a big, poorly organized, dysfunctional company. Very unsatisfactory.

I tried to purchase an ebike and paid in full for the bike and delivery. This was supposed to be a 10 day delivery, after 14 days I called and was told that the bike was coming from another store. After 25 days I still hadn't received the bike so called again. This time they would have it delivered by the end of the week. I received a call later that day to say the bike was damaged and couldn't be delivered. I was waiting for the money to be refunded so I could purchase another bike from elsewhere. When searching for a another bike, guess what I found, the same bike being advertised yet again on the Evans Cycles website. So, No Bike - No money, and the bike being re-advertised. Absolute joke!

Went into Evans Cycles at Martelsham, Suffolk to potentially buy two fold up bikes. Four staff behind counter talking to each other, completely ignored us. Went upstairs to have a look around to see what was available, no staff came to ask if they could help us. We were there for about 20 mins. Nice store but customer service was non existent. Will go somewhere else to buy our bikes.

Very bad service of shipping. I'm waiting for 2 1/2 months for shipment to send me one shirt. They have been delaying it for few times because this is how they say it "Once the item arrives into our warehouse you will receive an email to confirm despatch." Don't use this site, go to some else they probably have better customer service than these...

Evans Chiswick - so bad it's almost funny. Story too long to relate - except to say that Evans head office emailed me to say 'sorry, we'll repair the bike for free' I go into the store and they say 'Oh no we won't - you have to pay'. It was a gear shifter which busted on a bike just three months old. My advice - don't even THINK of shopping there!

I bought a new cannondale tiagra and after the first ride it started jumping out of gear and making bad noises. I took it to the Leeds city centre shop and they told me it was fixed but it’s still jumping out of gear. I called customer services and the Leeds store are denying I’ve ever been in their store to have my bike fixed. I’ve got it booked into another store now to hopefully get the gears fixed but it’s very poor customer service and making out I’m lying is not right.

Shocking service at Leamington Spa branch, they much prefer it if your not there as they are far too busy. If I were Evans I’d employ some secret shoppers as there seem to be very similar threads.

Specially paid for next day delivery hours before the cut off time and the item wasn’t even dispatched for two days! Shocking service and outright theft as you didn’t provide the service I paid you extra for. I’ll never use Evan again.

Evans Cycles in MK (Snowdome) is run by a bunch of clowns. The service is awful and under poor management. I tried to order a bike from the internet and it took 3 attempts for them to order in the right size over a a month. Each time the manager would take an aggressive stance and blame me for ordering wrong bike despite the fact I specifically spoke with their staff to order. The bike has been poorly assembled, and rushed. This really is an bad service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Ridiculous website stock knowledge, I visited your store to purchase a bike yesterday to be met with a hard sell. The bike I wanted wasn't in stock at this store so I was told it would be too big and to look at a (not suitable) smaller size, I tried the internet and saw a bargain end of line offer available in my size ,downloaded e-vouchers from my company which gave a small discount. Called up to be told this was out of stock, never to be replaced and my e-vouchers were non refundable due to hidden "terms and conditions". Stuck between a rock and a hard place I called back to check an alternative showing available. Guess what? Out of stock. I called customer service about a third bike and had some luck! In stock as displayed. I attempted to pay to be told my cycle to work voucher wasn't valid with Evan's. Despite the 1st customer service person saying it was but I had to call and not use website. All in a frustrating lost and expensive day being led a merry dance by this company and I am hardly surprised to hear of recent "troubles" it has faced.

Rude and very unhelpful customer service in store at London Bridge branch!! Won't be visiting again. Fair enough I have a scooter and not a bicycle but I could have been shown a bit more courtesy, understanding and friendliness. I had a puncture in my rear wheel and while I accept after being told the mechanics don't go near them, I was willing to repair myself. Firstly I asked to be pointed in the direction of the tyre sealants to which I was scoffed at "they're right there" as I was standing next to them but at the time i was looking at the so called "Assistant" so like any normal human i was facing him and not any of the shelves around me. When I chose a product I asked if I could use a pump...again an rather sarcastic response "there's one right outside", by this stage i was ready to just walk out but I stuck with it as I just wanted to get my puncture repaired. I asked if I was to purchase the sealant can I just borrow a valve tool to repair myself I was told "we don't have any for those"........really?!. I simply said it's the same as any valve (which it is!) and again I got a scoffed response "Well we don't have any" hardly likely when your stores do countless repairs and services on a day to day basis. Just fell he whole attitude and demeanor was utterly useless and one of the poorest forms of in-store customer services I have received. Obviously I walked out and just left my purchase altogether, not that you will likely miss the £5 for the sealant, but it begs the question how many more people will he treat like this and deter from your store?! I really couldn't see the problem in lending a small tool which would have taken all but 10 seconds to use! Another small sign that society is going in the wrong direction really, with people not just being able to help each other out in the smallest of circumstances

!!!Evans provide a very poor & unfair service!!! When searching online to purchase something the main reasons for choosing a particular supplier are price & availability. It is unfair to the customer & online competitors if this information is not provided accurately. Showing 'In Stock' when Evans do not have the item in stock in any of their stores or warehouses is a very dirty method to increase sales!! This is dishonest to customers, unfair practice to competitors & provides a poor service as Evans can't deliver the goods when expected. Not having an accurate system suggests incompetence, poor ethics, greed, incorrect priorities. Avoid for online orders!

Don’t order anything online. £35 for next day delivery means next day after they picked assembled and packed not actually next day before the cut off time which is very very misleading and false advertising. As soon as it eventually comes I’ll be taking it back for a refund including my £35 Delivery costs just because I don’t want them to have a penny of my money for a service I paid for which I was misled for and not given. The customer service given on the helpline treat you exactly like it’s not their problem too
