I would advise anyone not to use Evans online shopping. The service is the worst I have ever experienced. I ordered some cycle accessories as a birthday present and when nothing arrived by the final date for promised delivery, I started to look for help to see what was going wrong. Had the delivery been made to the wrong address or had it not been scheduled? There had been no communication other than the original order confirmation. The following day I tried to find out. There is no telephone number for online sales and although the local store was very helpful in trying to contact them but they wouldn't even speak to their own colleagues! There was nothing in the helpfiles for this situation. I then resorted to the chat bot. Very poor as it didn't seem to know about this type of scenario to be able to assist. Finally got a person on the chat who said they would look into it. I received an email saying that they has escalated this to their brand partner - no timescales. The following day I received another email saying that they were looking into it and to allow 12 - 24 hours for a response. There were some platitudes about how disappointing this service must be and apologies but I didn't sense any urgency on the matter. After 48 hours I chased and suggested that they refund my money as this was going nowhere. Or I could ask my bank to reclaim the funds. Today I received another email with further empty platitudes. Still no action. We are now 4 days down the line. Its certainly a lesson learned. Always check there is some kind of support before using any online shopping service!

I was surprised to be charged £15 for labor to install a simple inner tube, especially since I brought the wheel in separately. The job took less than five minutes and didn’t require any disassembly. I understand the shop have overheads, but this felt disproportionate for such a basic service.

Went in to the new Evans store within Sports Direct in Luton Point - absolutely dismal - I wanted a spare brake cable, clearly they are not available for sale, and there was no member of staff visible at all. I won't bother with Evans again, it's not the first time I've had a negative experience with them. Long live the local independent bike store!

I called Evans to ask if they had any Peddle bikes. The assistant said she would check and call back. She didn't. I used Fraserplus a credit company they promote to get £100 discount on an electric peddle bike. When I went to pick up the bike the next day as arranged, the bike wasn't ready. So I had to wait. The guy made some excuse that he thought we were coming later!! The Fraserplus app I used to get the discount took the money from the account but Stockport Evans refused to give me the bike as they said the money hadn't come through to them. They had no internet and their phone lines were not working properly apparently. I contacted Fraser plus and they said it had gone through. I still have no bike.

RE. Evans Cycles of Plymouth. I recently bought a Pinnacle 24 for my granddaughter. they repaired a fault caused by operational error and even though I asked if there was any payment due, they said no need. then the main crank started to bind up. on two separate occasions. they showed great compassion and understanding and ordered a new one for us which arrived with little delay. I would like to commend the attitude of all the staff there and the manager. lovely to deal with and we are very satisfied with how our situation was dealt with.. it was probably a manufacturers fault. great people there.

Upon visiting your shop in Bracknell I was talked into a credit agreement. I was told it was a loyalty scheme only to find out afterwards that it was a credit application. I think it is very under hand to treat customers in this way . I wanted to buy a suspension seat post. I was told I would have to order it so I did. Then the assistant said I could get it for £15 if I join this scheme.. so I did that. After going through all the rigmarole of joining your scheme, I found out it was a credit agreement. Now your assistant didn’t explain that so I think you did it on the false pretences. I’m furious that you duped me into signing up for some credit agreement. I was going to buy some other items in your shop and I would’ve probably spent about £200 on various things that I wanted to buy. However, you’ve lost my custom for good. I told the assistant I was going to give a bad review and he couldn’t care less. That’s the attitude of your staff.. I’ve been a cyclist for 50 years and I can honestly say your shop is the worst shop I’ve ever been in.

Ordered and paid for expensive cycling jersey. They delivered the short sleeve version (which was half the price of what I'd ordered and paid for). Spent 1 hour on their chat giving info to an incredibly rude girl. She promised to email the transcript and free returns form...2 days later and nothing from them. No phone number to complain. I contacted them by chat again today. They said they'd send an email, then promptly ended the chat. I'm now stuck with a jersey I don't want, that they overcharged me for. Where is my refund? Where is my correct order?

Bought a pair of MTB trousers from Evans Cycles online. They sent the wrong sex and size trousers. I raised a ticket, which took sometime to receive a response. Was told "keep the trousers and we will refund", great! Days later I then got a shipping notification that my item had been dispatched, slightly confusing. I then received the same product, wrong size and sex. By this point, weeks have passed and they finally acknowledge to refund me if I return the items. Shipped the two products back for a refund and was refunded the cost minus shipping. So I paid for shipping for two products that weren't even correct. I would avoid at all costs.

Had same issue with my Peddle bike. Gears snapped, chain broke (twice). No customer service. They don’t let you try the bike instore, no refund once you take it out of shop. And no care at all. DO NOT BUY FROM EVANS. There are so many bike shops who are so much better. Shame, because Evans was where I used to buy bikes for over 30 years

New Faulty EBike struggling for refund. New Faulty EBike struggling for refund. Bought a Pebblepro e-bike for my sons Christmas , upon using it for the very first day he got about 1 mile up the road and then it lost all power , as the bike weighs over 30kg he really struggled peddling manually to get it home . This fault continued for days but at first I thought it may have been too cold for the battery . However this has been happening all the time and we are worried it might catch fire as loose connection or faulty battery . I contacted Evans for a refund but as I bought it online and had it delivered to store which cost me £49.99 they won’t accept that I return to store for a refund and insist I box it up for them to investigate . The bike didn’t come with a box so they said they would send me a box so I have to now disassemble the bike box it up and return to them . No it turns out they haven’t even dispatched a box and now ignoring my emails . Fortunately I paid on my credit card so will have to go through them for a refund . This company has been nothing but terrible from buying / collecting to there non existent customer care . I’m now in a position I can’t afford to buy my son another bike so he’s Christmas has been ruined by Evans Cycles and Pebble Uk cycles. Please please avoid this store as since they were took over by SportsDirect they really only want your money and then your on your own.

I lost my Bitcoin investment to a scam platform and thought it was gone forever. Thankfully, Supreme Assets Recovery Agency stepped in and helped me recover my funds. Their team was professional, reliable, and kept me updated throughout the process. If you’ve been scammed, don’t hesitate to contact them. Perfect customer service team. My issue was that the bike we had purchased was too small. One email that same afternoon turned in to 2 days of impeccable communication and service from Evans Cycles until the matter was resolved to my satisfaction. Highly recommend 👌 Top stuff. Mustard in my opinion. Will deffo do business with them again.

I was trying to purchase my sons Christmas bike it was priced at 5,183. My bank limit turned out transaction was 5000. I contacted customer care Evans Cycles who where so unhelpful. Firstly they told me to split the item in two.. Make to separate payments, but would be charged for two deliveries. I explained it's one item and could I pay by bank transfer. I was informed they don't take bank transfer. Thirdly I asked could they order the bike to Belfast in store pick for me and it that way I can pay in person. Informed no, they couldn't help me. Very disappointed this is for my sons Christmas present and can't believe a shop don't want 5,189. Terrible customer care

I purchased this bike on the 28th August. At first they sent the wrong size. They then didn't provide a sufficient return address on their website. I have been emailing for almost 3 months now. They have a senior customer service rep named Aaron who consistently blames me for them not being able to refund me for a bike I returned months ago. He has asked multiple times for the same information. I believe now he is just winding me up after being ignored for 2 weeks I was told that my refund had been processed and would be in my bank account in 5 working days that was now 8 days ago. Terrible all round service. Rude employees that won't accept the fact they can't keep up with all the orders.

Purchased a Ridley bike from Evans cycles, which was due to be delivered by the following Thursday. When the bike didn't arrive I tried to find a contact number for them, with no success. I managed to contact the courier who informed me that the bike had been damaged in transit and had been returned to Evans cycles on the Tuesday. There was no communication from Evans cycles at all, and it is impossible to speak to a human! Contact is only by Bot or email, which is terribly frustrating when your missing £2,500 worth of bike! After emailing and 'chatting' to a robot I finally got an email saying I was going to be refunded. Decided to then call in the cardiff branch to see what bikes they had, the staff were ignorant! No 'hello' no 'can I help you?' We wandered around yhe bikes, showing an interest in them, but yhe 2 visible staff members made no effort to assist us, or even acknowledge we were there. I wish I'd read these reviews before I bothered! Terrible customer service both online and in store.
