Perfect customer service team. My issue was that the bike we had purchased was too small. One email that same afternoon turned in to 2 days of impeccable communication and service from Evans Cycles until the matter was resolved to my satisfaction. Highly recommend đź‘Ś Top stuff. Mustard in my opinion. Will deffo do business with them again.

I was trying to purchase my sons Christmas bike it was priced at 5,183. My bank limit turned out transaction was 5000. I contacted customer care Evans Cycles who where so unhelpful. Firstly they told me to split the item in two.. Make to separate payments, but would be charged for two deliveries. I explained it's one item and could I pay by bank transfer. I was informed they don't take bank transfer. Thirdly I asked could they order the bike to Belfast in store pick for me and it that way I can pay in person. Informed no, they couldn't help me. Very disappointed this is for my sons Christmas present and can't believe a shop don't want 5,189. Terrible customer care

I purchased this bike on the 28th August. At first they sent the wrong size. They then didn't provide a sufficient return address on their website. I have been emailing for almost 3 months now. They have a senior customer service rep named Aaron who consistently blames me for them not being able to refund me for a bike I returned months ago. He has asked multiple times for the same information. I believe now he is just winding me up after being ignored for 2 weeks I was told that my refund had been processed and would be in my bank account in 5 working days that was now 8 days ago. Terrible all round service. Rude employees that won't accept the fact they can't keep up with all the orders.

Purchased a Ridley bike from Evans cycles, which was due to be delivered by the following Thursday. When the bike didn't arrive I tried to find a contact number for them, with no success. I managed to contact the courier who informed me that the bike had been damaged in transit and had been returned to Evans cycles on the Tuesday. There was no communication from Evans cycles at all, and it is impossible to speak to a human! Contact is only by Bot or email, which is terribly frustrating when your missing ÂŁ2,500 worth of bike! After emailing and 'chatting' to a robot I finally got an email saying I was going to be refunded. Decided to then call in the cardiff branch to see what bikes they had, the staff were ignorant! No 'hello' no 'can I help you?' We wandered around yhe bikes, showing an interest in them, but yhe 2 visible staff members made no effort to assist us, or even acknowledge we were there. I wish I'd read these reviews before I bothered! Terrible customer service both online and in store.

I bought a bike through the ride to work scheme. when it arrived I was at work, the courier simply left the box, wrong way up, on my driveway. luckily it was still there when I got home. put the bike together pumped the tyres and set of for work a couple of days later. upon riding it became clear that the gears had not been set up properly so were clicking during the ride and when i changed gear top the top end they began jumping back to other gears of their own volition. the brakes had also been set so tight that the wheels struggled to go round so i had to loosen them with the lever. 3 mins into the ride the back wheel punctured, I fell off. I replaced the back inner tube and continued my ride to work. on 2 occasions the quick release on the front wheel shook loose, luckily I notice both times and tightened it ( I have ridden quick release wheels for 30yrs and am fully aware of how they work); I was riding slowly after the tyre and gears issues. when I contacted evans I was told that I could not return the bike as they have a 'repair, replace, refund' policy. I was asked it I could take it to an evans shop, which would take at least an hour to drive too (2hr round trip). I was then offered a collection, although they could not give a specific time or even a general time, I would only know the day and collection between 9am and 6pm, I was also told the collection would only be to repair the bike and that I would not be able to get a refund. I do realise I have ridden the bike, however I would not have know the issues had I not ridden it. the bike was of a satisfactory quality and arguably dangerous to ride. This was a bike originally priced at ÂŁ1000, admittedly it was in the sale, however only because of its year of manufacture not because of any issues. I am now unable to return a bike I don't want and am stuck in with the option of a new bike needing to be repaired before it was ridden (still can't get my head around that one), or replacement, which to be honest I don't want because the service has been so poor. having to find someone who can wait in all day for it to be picked up. I would strongly recommend not using evans because when things are not right there is no way to cancel the RTW scheme contract. I have added my order number here but if I am contacted I am sure I will receive the same pointless line of 'we repair first...' It is a new bike and shouldn't need repairing!

"I recently purchased a bicycle from the Stockport branch of Evans Cycles, and I had an excellent experience. Callan, a young and super helpful lad, went above and beyond to assist me. Being new to cycling and a bit old school, I needed some guidance, and Callan took the time to explain everything I needed to know about my bike. He was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process smooth. What really stood out was his kindness in helping me load the bike into my car. I'm thrilled with the customer service I received and highly recommend this branch!"

Terrible company when it comes to customer service! Bought some decent items at a good price I have to say, but part of the order they sent the wrong size so it had to be returned. I decided to collect from store when ordering, the wrong sized item was clearly obvious and so the assistant in store (who was excellent) packaged it up for me to send back. Took it to the post office, had to pay to send it back even though it's their mistake. Paid for a signed for service. Evans signed for it 2 days later. 14 days later still not heard a cracker from them. Website says 7 days. Can't get hold of them, no telephone number for head office / returns dept. Tried online chat just hangs forever, with occasional "thanks for waiting" messages. Then cuts you off and says you timed out after too long inactive! They're great at taking your money, and excellent at keeping it, as when something goes wrong you simply can't get hold of them to get it back! **Response to reply from Owen** No Owen it’s not being dealt with so don’t openly lie on here just to sound good. The law states you have 14 days to refund a customer. You’ve not done that, you’ve not even acknowledged receipt of the returned item even though I have signed proof. It’s now now more than 14 days, so I’ve initiated a chargeback against you. Horrible company to deal with. **Further Update** Finally managed to get hold of them on web chat. Assistant said I needed to wait the required lapsed time (even though it was already 15 days since they signed for it), then hung up the chat! Got hold of them again today (now 18 days since they signed for it) and same assistant said they haven't received it and it's not their problem. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE OWEN! Passed it over to Amex to deal with along with screenshots of all the web chats, proof of postage, proof of package being signed for. Amex have refunded me and just hope Amex can deal with this s**t show of a company better than I can. Never ever again will you receive a penny of my money. I hope this review stands as a warning to other potential buyers to stay clear of you.

What has happened to Evans Cycles? Not what it used to be... I used a Cycle to Work scheme voucher for an online purchase, which was applied at check out absolutely fine. I noticed a few days later that my card had been charged for the order. They don't have a customer service number to call anymore. I've had to go through a ridiculous process and wait to make contact with a real person, which is only available via email. Their solution.... return the items at my own cost (cÂŁ90 for two big boxes) and restart the process! Will be returning the items but certainly won't be replacing the order

EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNOBBISH ATTITUDE, TREATS CUSTOMERS AS IF THEY ARE A BURDEN. Went into evans cycles in King’s Cross London for a quick change on my disc brake pads. Mechanic (polish twat) was already talking to another customer for about 15 minutes, during which I waited patiently. When they finished, the mechanic didn’t even look at me when speaking to me and stood at the back of the workshop and rudely just said “we don’t have time for such small repairs” no “sorry about that”, no “unfortunately”. He spent 15 minutes talking about the minutiae of carbon frames with another customer but couldn’t even face me when talking to me because “he doesn’t have time for this”. Fair enough if they don’t do small repairs but why can’t you just say that with respect and facing your customers. Will never give a penny to evans cycles again.

Bought a bike helmet for one of my boys. Didn't fit. Took back to store the next day. They would only give credit. I have got ÂŁ50 credit. Just don't want to spend any money there. Hate the place. Conning

A buckle on my cycling shoes broke after just a few months of having them. I spoke with a customer service representative and sent him photos, and he assured me that despite it being outside of the 28 day return window and the product being used, it was a manufacturer defect and would be refunded. When I sent my shoes in, they told me they were refusing the claim. After several emails including ones including evidence of their prior commitment, they still refused. Poor service is one thing, but dishonest service is unacceptable, in my opinion. I would not recommend them for anything.

Ordered a helmet online when at the store. Helmet arrived in a box which was totally demolished and ripped open. It looked as though the warehouse had retrieved it from the tip. It was obvious the helmet must have been dropped given the state of the box but no I still had to pay not only for the delivery but again to return it. No doubt Evans will sell this damaged helmet to some other mug. Never buying from Evans again.

Evans Cycles are an absolute disgrace of a bike store. Staff are rude to customers and elitist. Very unprofessional and unwilling to help customers, whilst hiding behind policies. I would highly discourage anyone from Shopping there. Vili-Valtteri Welroos (ARB/RIBA)

If I could give 0 stars I would. Evans cycles customer services are extremely Terrible. Their online shop was very misleading when it came to the payment. I had been charged the full amount of the bike and delivery despite putting in a cycle scheme voucher. The website did not at any point state the full amount will come out on my credit card. Customer services were extremely unhelpful stating I would have to pay ÂŁ40 to return the bike by post and this would not be refunded. Grave error made on their part and I am expected to pay their cost! Aaron and Amie have all refused to listen and work with me for a response. @Evans Cycles- please do not leave a response to this stating you are striving to help unless you can actually resolve this for me. I can see you have done this below for another review left by someone else and it makes no difference because Evans cycles have repeated their behaviour with me

Very bad online service. I waited over a month for a decision and was told I am unable to swap a XMAS present purchase for a larger size. It was a Christmas present that missed Evan's return deadline by a couple of days. It was for a larger size, not full return. Your staff communicated there was a well know issue of small sizing with the Five Ten brand. I have spent ÂŁ100s with Evans in the last few months and will not be spending another penny. You have wasted so much of my time chasing you for a decision, even a wasted trip to the nearest store to swap for a bigger size. Extremely poor product. Extremely poor customer service and after sales. Time wasters. Avoid at all costs. Not recommended. Will never use again.

I've had an awful experience with Evans Cycles. I ordered 2 black specialized cage bottles that were on offer for ÂŁ23 to be delivered. Two weeks after I placed the order, no delivery and then an email giving me a refund. No explanation. The 2 bottle cages are still available on the website, but the offer has expired. Waited for 20 mins on the phone to customer services. No response. Terrible customer service. Use another company.

The cheltenham store: The staff at this store consistently exceed expectations. They are not only approachable but also attentive listeners, ensuring that customers feel heard and valued. Their expertise and friendly demeanor in guiding customers through the world of cycling and equipment are unparalleled compared to any other bike shop I have visited. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Archie and the entire team for their outstanding assistance thus far. Thank you for your exceptional service.

Purchased a bike turbo trainer which is still under warranty and contacted via email in November it was not working. To this date 06/02/2024 i have sent at least 10 emails since November 2023 and received the usual acknowledgement emails but no one ever contacts to resolve this issue for me. I now have a turbo trainer that is not working properly and no way of getting this resolved. The lack of customer service is staggering, must be the worst I have ever experienced and i would definately not advise purchasing from them

I’ve been waiting for a refund of £170 since the 20th of November, the customer service team is extremely unhelpful and haven’t responded to any of my messages in over a week. They ask for a denial of recipt form but claim the signature is not sufficient despite me sending roughly 6 options at this point including options they previously said would be sufficient.
