Where to start. I ordered two mountain bikes which came to a total if £9010. Bikes were both Delivered absolutely battered. Both bikes had scratches over it, missing bolts and a bent frame. Tried sending the bike back multiple times and the delivery driver never turned up. Third time lucky and the bike was picked up and was told it can take up to two weeks for them to receive broke bike. It’s now been months and I still don’t have a new working bike and they still have my money

These people are scammers sold something with missing items and refuse to send. Also sell items which are used. Found sanitary pads inside the bag

First, up the service, I received while trying to choose a bike was downright terrible, they gave no options, no questions, and simply stood there waiting for me to ask them everything. He then tried to sell me a bikeway over my price limit which he knew was £300. Before paying i then asked if it could be picked up by my wife the next day and he said yes, i then asked if the bike would be ready for when my wife picks up the bike on my behalf, he said 100%. I then reminded him that my wife will be taking time off work to pick up the bike on my behalf and to make sure that the bike was ready to collect, and gave him my mobile incase he could not have the bike ready. Of course, when my wife arrived this morning the bike was not ready as promised and they asked her to wait for an hour. She finally got the bike with no apology and no thank you. I see other people have left terrible reviews about this store, I regret now not checking them before i went to the store. Stay away guys and buy your bike from another store is my honest advice.

2 years in a row had nothing but issues with either items missing or faulty items. Customer service is shocking and don't care. If it wasn't my ride to scheme I would avoid. Woudnt recomment

Do not buy from Evans! What an utterly useless shop they are. I returned two Mercury 1 bikes that had been faulty from the outset. Both bikes did not hold a charge which was discovered after fully charging them, leaving them for a couple of weeks and finding the flat when we wanted to go out on them. The next time I left them on charge for a period of time which was enough for them to charge and discharge all in their own without being touched. Many owners like me will just leave them on charge until needed, well, you can’t do that with mine. You have a choice, buy from another supplier.

I have never received bike I ordered as damaged in transit. Evans (Sports Direct) refuse to refund me until bike has been returned to them, courier cant find bike. Have now reported them to citizens advice, trading standards, credit card company and luckily for us we have family member who is a business lawyer.

I went online and purchased a cycle that I wanted from Evans Cycles and paid online with £659 for the cycle to be delivered to my home. I had an email to say thank you and then the day after I received another email to say the cycle will be with on you asap as it's already at the couriers in Bury less than 6 miles away from me. Wednesday came and Thursday came and still nothing. I chased on the website with CSV and they said it could take 3 days for the courier to respond to them. Which I thought was poor. I then chased again on the following Wednesday which I did as the update still shows that the cycle is still at the couriers 7 days later. I then chased again and then got an email to say that they are sorry the Cycle has been lost. no explanation just lost....I have just told them to credit my account back and I am so disappointed from a large company that they can be brutal "its not their fault attitude. This Cycle was for a special large birthday of mine so I am very upset. however I will find one else where I just want people to read this and avoid Evans Cycles as they do not deliver on what you have purchased online.

Bought the Pinnacle Arkose 1 - 2021 from Evans last week and had issues with the gears from first day, jumping gears. I noticed quite a substantial uneven movement in the chainwheel which caused the chainwheel to rub into the front derailleur on top 2 gears and top 2 lowest gears. On top of this the bell broke off after first use [minor issue]. I brought it back asking Evans to have a look and rectify the problems. When I went to pick the bike up I was told that there is nothing they can do and that it is normal for movement on these; quote: 'these cheap chain sets'. I was told that the noise and issues of gears might also be due to the kind of gear set combination chosen and installed on the bike [by Evans/Pinnacle]. This is Evans own brand, they have chosen the parts to be put on this bike and they have decided to put on cheap parts that doesn't function well together on a 800 pound bike. I can't return it as I have used it once. I was told they can't [won't?] do anything about it. On top of this the new bell broke after first touch, again. I'm very disappointed and never thought that a company like Evans would cheat customers like this and I will never use Evans again for my future bikes or equipment. Stay away from this Pinnacle bicycle and be careful, if they sell you a bike that is bad, they will not rectify it.

Purchased Raleigh pioneer less than two months ago. Clicking through the pedals that has now got worse. We can no longer use the bike. Contacted Evans cycles through chat as phone line no longer seems to be available. Although they could supply a bike to my area there’s no aftersales support; I’m told to go to another dealer for a quote to put it right! Once they’ve sold you the bike it seems that there’s no such thing as a mobile service engine, hence you’re left to go it alone. Took the bike to Halfords and it seems the bottom bracket isn’t up to the job and will need to be replaced costing £40 - £50. A lesson to be learnt. Buy local and don’t use this crew!

Avoid Evans Cycles at all costs Purchased a Cannondale Topstone from Evans Cycles. The initial delivery was perfect, I have no complaints on that front. Within three months, the spokes in my rear wheel started to unlace themselves (While I was riding at full speed) and the integrity of my rear wheel was compromised. I took the bicycle to two local bike shops. Both shops decided to forego seeking profit and told me directly that this was either a manufacture or a build problem and Evans should simply provide me with a new rear wheel without much fuss. Instead, I was repeatedly fobbed off, lied to, blamed for the damage myself and sent copy and pasted images of the warranty policy when I replied. This process continued with both the customer service AND the warranty teams for weeks. I was also told 1.) That Evans refuse to take responsibility for the bike even though it was still clearly under one year warranty - and that they would only replace my wheel if Cannondale accepted liability and sent them a new wheel, which is an absolutely disgraceful way to do business and places Evans firmly in the category of businesses that act in bad faith towards their consumers. I was told 2.) Lies/guesses by customer service agents on multiple occasions (A couple of which Senior Customer Service Agents had to get involved, apologise for and attempt to rectify) Eventually, at the store manager level (Clapham High Street), my email was seen and a solution produced. Once the store manager, Oskar (Who was a great guy, absolutely on the ball and a credit to Evans) had seen my emails, he was able to solve the problem in under 36 hours, replace the wheel and call me to collect it - Weeks after they had initially refused to accept any liability or responsibility, Oskar was able to solve the problem efficiently and with great customer service, on his own. Evans has also DISCONTINUED THEIR COMPLAINTS TELEPHONE LINE which, again, is an absolute disgrace. And is the reason why I am writing this complaint on a public forum rather than delivering it directly to Evans. Without a shadow of a doubt, I can say that this is the worst, most insulting and most negligent customer service team that I have ever dealt with and I will not be purchasing my next bike from Evans

I NEVER BE SO DISAPPOINTED IN MY LIFE AND ANGRY 😠 ABOUT THE SERVICE & customer service standard . AVOID BUY IN EVANS PLUS THE DO PRICE MAYCH ANYMORE. I HAVE TO GO TO THE STORE TO TIMES TO JUST GET MY MONEY BACK. My name is Marcel Rodriguez. I am writing this letter to complain about receiving missing products from your company. I have ordered ENVE Foundation-Collection-65-Carbon-Tubeless-Disc-Wheelset on 6th June 2021. I was calling the store to find out the status of my order, they said it was delivered to the store on 21st June 2021. The store opened the wheelset and said there was only one wheelset delivered and blaming the DPD the courier. The customer service in store was unexpectable with lack of communication and have not been touch with the status on the order. There was no apologise and acknowledge an error was made. There was no communication with me, if the store was working to fix the mistake, and how long it will likely take to be resolved. It’s has been over a month of constant disappointment in what was happening. I would be grateful for you to fulfil my initial order or please refund the amount of my order and compensation Please refund the amount of my order and compensation. Yours Faithfully, Marcel Rodriguez

I recently purchased a bike for my step son for £429.99. On arrival it was apparent that the seat was too high and needing adjustment. My local store offered to do this and on arriving they attempted to set the bike up. At this time they were unable to fit the pedals and basically told me I had damaged the threads due to installing them incorrectly. I told them categorically I had not so much as touched the pedals! I had to return home and take it up with an online team. Their customer service was nothing short of abhorrent. Cocky, rude and obnoxious. Totally unwilling to offer a refund due to in their “opinion” I had damaged it. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 as I made them aware is based on fact and not “opinion”. I asked if they could prove it was not damaged on arrival, they couldn’t. I also asked for proof that this bike was not a return, they couldn’t. I found it impossible to make any progress even being refused a telephone number for head office. A section 75 is now my only option. And I’m now lumbered with a piece of expensive useless metal.

Evans Cycles seems to have a policy requiring customers to ask a member of staff before trying the weight of a bike, or of a number of different bikes. I'm not sure whether you need permission to even touch their bikes on display. Anyone thinking of spending a lot of money on a bike, especially if its weight is important, might be well advised to shop elsewhere.

They sent the wrong bike and after 2 weeks they are still not able to collect it. I am finding myself having this big box in my entrance. Forget the chat none of them are competent they just follow a process. The Worst customer service I know so far. It is better to buy a second-hand bike. On word to describe them 'BAD'

Appalling service both online and in store. No sense of customer care, close-to-complete incompetence, no training for staff, understaffed stores. I hope the chain and its stores are soon replaced by a proper bike retailer.

Within a day of ordering a bicycle I reached out to evanscycle in the only channel they support... email... to cancel the order because i changed my mind. I was told to simply reject delivery, the parcel will go back to them and i'll get a refund. Alas, their delivery company left the package outside my door, refused to take it in. I now have to be out of pocket to pay a courier firm to send back the product which i cancelled as early as 6 days before it even arrived!
