Worst company I ever deal with. Absolutely nightmare. Send me a personalised video given many wrong informations regarding the car. After I purchased the car I realised many things were not in the car as they mentioned in the video. Third day after purchase the car engine management light came on . Many days I had to leave the car in driveway and had to use taxi. After a long discussion they agreed to take the car back as they know it was a miss sold car. I had to wait weeks for the refund. I spend lots of money for the alternative transportation in this period and the insurance cancellation fee too. They never gave any of these money as a compensations because this is completely their fault . I could go with the solicitors. please stay away from this company please please

I purchase my car in September 2023 and bought 3 year warranty along with this. In February 2024 (5months later) I had a warning light appear on the dash for the pedestrian protection trigger. I pressed the VW assist button and a roadside technician was sent to me. They scanned and gave me a copy of the diagnostic report. I booked the car into Evans Halshaw Walsall and was given a date of 29th March. Evans Halshaw failed to fix the issue and advised that their diagnostic equipment, that was being used was not capable to carry out the required repair. They informed me that my car would need to go into a VW dealership and any additional cost for diagnostic of £158 would be chargeable to me….My warranty provider Pendragon assured me that this is not the case as Evans Halshaw were to pay as it was EH who failed to fix the issue which in turn has meant the car would now have to go to VW. I spoke with Sharon Rolston and explained what Pendragon had told me and Sharon called me back on Monday 4th March @ 11:17am to clarify and explained that she had liaised with her Manager Andy Smith (Service manager) and he has has advised that this charge was payable by me. I explained to Sharon that Pendragon have said that the cost should be covered by EH and in turn Sharon made the decision to cancel my appointment that was originally made with VW. This has left me with an unfit vehicle even after purchasing warranty. The appalling service from the after sales care team is disheartening, even when a warranty is purchased it is not honoured. The team at Walsall have been unhelpful and have in terms said my only option is to take the cost to fix the issue and have also cancelled my booking with VW.

I was looking at buying a BMW from them for £13,995 but was advised on the phone of fees and the car was actually now £14,240, after having second thoughts i decided to search the car reg and found the car was only worth £10,000 and Evans Halshaw themselves on their own trade in portal only offered me £9,000 for it, i phoned the salesman back and advised him i wasn't happy with the price or the MOT history and offered him a price of £12,000 and 2 years warranty for the £800 which is still £2,000 above the stated worth but they refused, same car is now on their website still for now £11,990 as they can't sell it so they lost out, i was also told they wouldn't do the MOT advisories if i bought the car because they're not fails and only advisories when it needs 3 new tyres and rear shockers...they only wanted £14,240 for it though guys you can't expect the world! these faults are called progressive faults meaning even if it didn't fail on their MOT its obvious to anyone with a brain they'll get worse and worse and eventually need replacing in a few months so they refused to fix it knowing if i bought it i would have to cop the bill months down the line if the warranty didn't cover it, car is advertised with cruise control and heated seats when its actually only one up from SE and doesn't have either, service history is embarrasing for a BMW, 1 service in 6 years and was done at 20k miles so over 48k miles ago, gearbox has never been serviced either, chain hasn't been inspected. Now i know why i see the same cars still on their website months later, overpriced with bare minimum effort i mean they wanted over £3,000 past a cars worth and selling it with a MOT full of advisories and falsely claiming features on the car, they told me they would service it but the last car i bought from them was "serviced" but clearly wasn't and they just haven't changed if anything they have got more greedy and less caring which you can tell by the fact the salesman on the phone sighed at me and said even if they replaced the tyres it would only be to stop me moaning and they would be budget tyres...again only a £14,250 RWD BMW guys what do you expect from them? car is now listed for £11,990 and still hasn't been bought because its only worth £11,000 tops especially with all their fees.

Bought a 2015 automatic Focus from them with only 59k miles, gearbox had to be replaced on the day i got it they literally drove the car to me and handed me the keys of a broken car, parcel shelf is bent and clips missing, engine hasn't been serviced in 4 years, horn packed up after a week, spare key doesn't even work. When that wasn't enough today i woke up and went out to my car to find all the windows down and my car soaked, EH knew about a water leak and attempted to cover it up with just sealer and did a poor job allowing rain to get into the wiring in the boot and ruin the body control module, since this was fixed its been 4 months and now my engine is making a weird noise and seems like timing belt or pulley which is another thing i was lied to about! belt hasn't been changed since built and it wasn't serviced. If you want to buy a lemon use these lot who don't check anything on cars they buy they simply give it a quick poor hoover and wash and chuck a grand on it and sell it on.

Would give zero stars but it won't let me. Bought a car from merthyr Evans halshaw and regretted it ever since. Had nothing but trouble with the car and with the staff there. The car has been in over 20 times with faults that still ain't been fixed. Payed extra for warranty due to so many electrical parts on the car as advised but waste of time as they refuse to warrent any parts . Customer services are awfull they refuse to answer the phones but as seen in person they get a call and press them off. Takes days to actually get a answer and then a waste of time as all you get is sorry about that. They had the car in for 2 days again recently due to more faults yet ring to ask for extra time to look at it that day and then charge for not even looking at the faults it went in for so why have it in that long charge us and not even sort the fault its gone in for. Also they pretend to service it but don't actually do it then when called up on the matter they play stupid and then have it back in to actually do what they had it in for which that was another 2 days of them doing nothing and having it and no curtesy cars offered any of these times knowing we had a parent on chemo that needed hospital everyday . Never again. They talk all nice but once they got your cash you won't get anything fixed

Contacted Evans Halshaw Hyundai Service Dept yesterday (22nd Jan 2024) and informed them that the car alarm on my Hyundai Santa Fe, which is less than 3 years old and is serviced by them annually, was activating numerous times a day and at all times of the day and night, which the neighbours are finding rather annoying. I anticipated being offered a quick check with the option of disarming the alarm over the next few days. I was informed that the earliest diagnostic check available was the 25th March 2024 and was offered no further help. Completely un-customer orientated and really a disgrace to the Hyundai brand. Come on Hyundai, either get them to improve their customer focus or strip them of the franchise. I have since organised to have my car checked at a different franchise some 10 miles away, who were far more customer focused and friendly and definitely put Evan Halshaw to shame.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. THE WARRANTY IS A SCAM - BOTH THE 3 MONTH AND THE EXTENDED. After 4 weeks of having the car the handbrake was completely ineffective, had to leave the car in gear. Brakes were also bad. Called them and told them - their response "its not covered in the warranty". JUST 4 weeks after purchasing! Had a mechanic look at it amd he said ot should not have been sold in that state and that it is a safety concern. He advised me not to drive it as the rear brakes were siezed on. Upon learning this, the Sunderland branch remain with the "not covered by warranty" jargon. Problem is, if you dig a little deeper they state in documents and on their website that the braking system is indeed covered. You would be better off buying a car from a foreign country with no m.o.t and 0 warranty then spending your hard earned cash with these clowns. CON MEN. They state they perform a 102 point check of which the braking system is a part of - yet 4 weeks later all manner of problems arise. AVOID AT ALL COSTS and make sure you get a good lawyer that can navigate the Sales of Goods Act for you so that you can sue them in all theor glory for breaching contract. Please reconsider before giving this company ANY money. They are con artists.

I went to evenshaw batley and i Feel like I have been talked in to a good sale. When you look into it it is not what I was told. I bought my car £10,000 cash. I was told it had full service history with it and my manual book, when I got home there was nothing in my car to even say I own the car. after a week of rining them I got told they was no service history and go on line to see my manual. I only got 3 month warrenty, but if i do 3,000miles it is voide I would not recommend going here for a car.

Picked my car up on 28th October 2023 had a chip in windscreen alot of damage to the paint work already payed for the car in full they said they would sort it out so went home in the car had the car 5 day and windscreen cracked been on my driveway 1 and half day now they are just not interested. So I am off the road now. not giving me a car to use its now 2nd of November someone is coming out to do the windscreen on the 8th November and they think that's OK its not. If I could drive the car I would have returned it and got my car and money back I think its degrees how they are with customers I will never buy a car from them again after this experience with them you would have thought they would have brought me a courtesy car and got my car sorted for me considering I've just payed 14.000 grand for it in full.

Purchased car evans halshaw vauxhall shiremoor . They lost second key and have lied continuously since 27/9/23 to me . Asked me to buy key and give them the bill . Not a chance after all the lies . Evans halshaw complaints line at pendragon (still awaiting call) are not fit for purpose and neither are evans halshaw . Customer service is non existent after sale has been completed . Been lied to continuously as to where the key is . I have a car that I park on my drive that every morning I pray is still there and they don’t care one jot. Shoddy is the most understated thing I can say without swearing. I will never go to evans halshaw again for a car even if I win the lottery

Terrible after sales experience from the Urmston Commercial centre. Once you have parted with your money they are not interested. More to the point neither is the Business Manager!

Bought a car from them with the salesman telling me 3 times the car would be serviced and had full service history which it didn't, tells me these salesmen don't have a clue about the car your even buying. Lets start with the "full service history" it had a service at like 12k miles, 30k miles, last one being at 42k miles the car is now on 74k miles....so its had 4 services in 10 years! but the last service alone was over 30,000 miles ago, belt hasn't been changed either even though its been over do for 2 years. Car got delivered to me "serviced" but after their lies about the service history i decided i would put it on a ramp (service all my cars myself) and i found the oil filter was very old and stiff and was a £3 no name part, oil sump plug was so tight from being left to rust for over 30k miles it snapped my socket clean off so had to borrow a heavy duty socket to get the plug out, oil was black and full of dirt, air filter again was a cheap brand and so old it actually turned yellow its meant to be white. Salesman told me it was serviced once again when ringing him up to complain, couldn't even tell me what the oil is meant to look like but apparently i was exaggerating! even the washer fluid was almost empty and only filled with water..first service i know of that fills your washer fluid with water no wonder all the parts on it are knock off cheap parts, anyway fast forward 3 months the steering rack needed replacing and they replaced it with a used one off ebay or somewhere and again they argued it was new so just beware when using them they cut corners. When a company doesn't even use good branded parts like Bosch and buy no name service parts that should tell you what you need to know about them fitting other parts, oil was black and on minimum, washer fluid had a inch of water left in it, steering fluid on minimum, coolant minimum, service filters all old and worn.

I am totally disappointed and dissatisfied with Evans Halshaw / Pendragon. I was mis sold a warranty and now that I want to claim for a faulty rain sensor, I am been beat around the corner. It’s not on the exclusion list but it’s now being rejected. I have tried calling and emailing them with no reply. I would not recommend this company. I will spread this on all the platforms and complain to the authorities. Guarantee No: 2872025

Purchase that has left me financially devestated. I Bought an Audi A1 in 2022, broke down within a few weeks of purchase, was fixed by them, repeated this process 3 times over a year - including one time when they kept it for nearly three months over christimas. Now their statutory responsiblities have expired they want nothing to do with the cars numerous and ongoing issues. Now I have a car I have only been able to actually drive for 7 months out of the 13 I have owned it and now requires £4,000 worth of repairs to be roadworthy - its been financially devestating and I am paying finance on a car I cannot afford to fix so I can actually drive it. As a single parent with two young children this has been unbelievably stressfull . Its the worst case scenario when buying a used car, and exactly the type of situation you go to a reputable car dealership to avoid. I felt I had done everything right choosing Evans and still cannot believe I am in this situation and I have no idea what to do next. Im sick with worry. I would encourage anyone not buy anything here without having it independently assesed by a mechanic, you cannot trust their word.

Went to Evans Halshaw for a motability vehicle for my daughter only to be greeted by Gary who was adamant we were wrong in our research that and under 25 could drive a Mokka GS under the motability scheme. He said we were wrong as you can only drive a 120bhp vehicle. He even phoned Motability to be told he was wrong. Made us feel awkward and upset my daughter who has ASD and ADHD. How can the supposed expert not know this. Wasn’t even offered a drink. When will Dealerships get it into their heads that they are in a service industry and you are not doing the customer a favour but quite the opposite
