“I had a very frustrating experience. I submitted photos for a montage, and gave my approval for a first draft, well in advance of my needing the montage. They never got back to me so I finally called and they said "oops!" Then they sent me an unacceptable first draft (which, when I pointed out the errors, they agreed was not OK)- they sent a second draft and I had a few edits and they said they would charge me because I hadn't made those changes on the first draft. That was because they made the changes I wanted to edit AFTER the first draft. In the end, they agreed not to charge me, but the whole experience was unpleasant.”

“The representatives from Everpresent were delightful to deal with and most of the footage that was digitized was good, especially the 16mm film. I was, however, quite disappointed with some of the 8mm and Super 8mm conversations which were far to jumpy as if the film lost its loop and no one corrected it. This happened on a number of the films, but it wasn’t until I checked them on a projector that I realized that the problem was with your conversion and NOT the film. As it was so long after our business was conducted before I discovered this, I did not complain and seek restitution. This is unfortunate as I am now reluctant to submit anymore projects.”
Ralph, thank you for sharing this with us. I just reviewed your Quality Letter, and there isn't any obvious reason why the footage would be jumpy. I'm going to email you separately, but if you're able to share couple of examples of the reels that you're referring to, our technicians can review and let you know if this can be improved or if it's an unavoidable issue in the capture process. In any event, please don't be shy to let us know about issues like this. It's never too late after a project for us to want to spend time improving.

“Had them digitize my family’s old VHS tapes so we could revisit them at my sister’s bridal shower, and we haven’t watched most in decades (and a couple never). One of the tapes kept fading in and out since there was a pair of children running the camcorder, and all the irrelevant black space was clipped out, while any black space with audio was kept. Made it way more watchable! I’m thinking of going back and getting some of the longer tapes edited into clips since we’d sometimes tape a whole year of activities on one VHS.”
