“I sent in a reel of very old (~60 years old) film to be digitized. The drop off and pick up process for the reel were simple and convenient, the communication from Everpresent was excellent, and the results are great. I am a happy customer.”

“Was a bit less impressed with service this time around than previously. I dropped off my project in November, and didn't hear anything about status between 11/17 and 2/3 (which was just days after I wrote to ask for an update). It was ready on 2/9... the day i was having shoulder surgery, which left me unable to drive. I had to have my son pick it up for me when he was in town on March 20. The app was not working, and i had to follow up to get that fixed. I asked for an extension of the 60 days of access to the online archive given all of the above and was shocked to get a cold response that said, basically, no.”

“Beginning of the process went very well. Dropped off my slides/videos and got an email that the project was going through quality control and was moving right along, a few weeks later. Then nothing for three months. Everpresent did provide a few videos and some slides right before the holidays after a few emails from me. Then took another three months until we got the project. Quality was great, but given the price, thought we would have gotten a clearer sense of where we stood. Didnt really make good on the promise of the site and service.”

“I engaged EverPresent last spring to organize my collection of photos so I could easily locate images to create a Father's Day gift for my husband. I had very high hopes back then, but now all I can report is my deep dissatisfaction with the whole experience. EverPresent's pricing was astronomical, ladled on in phases. I could only afford a few processes and had to limit the number of photos to be processed. Still, in good faith, I paid several thousand dollars for what I hoped would be a searchable archive that I could maintain myself going forward. Then I waited. A full year went by before my project was ready. When the project finally arrived, instead of the orderly, tagged and decluttered archive I expected, all I had to show for my sizeable investment was a recategorization of files into folders, and a handful of suggestions for removal. I'm no better off than I was a year ago. Sure, they tagged (some) and decluttered, but to be useful to my needs, my project will still require a tremendous amount of additional work on my part: reviewing, re-organizing, more tagging, and integrating the new archive with the part of my collection that was not processed (not to mention all the new photos I’ve taken in the year that’s gone by). These were the very tasks I paid EverPresent to do for me. I feel a little sick when I think of how I should have cut my losses after the first pricey consultation, but instead, I threw good money after bad. What kept me from giving this review one star was that all the people I interacted with at EverPresent were kind, helpful and courteous. (Although I was stunned and repelled by an email inviting me to TIP the staff before I'd even received the archive). In sum, I regret ever contacting EverPresent in the first place, and I would never recommend this service to anyone.”

“I had about a 12" film strip to be transferred to a digital version. I thought the film would be cleaned before it was digitized. The digitized version was very dirty and it did not have all of the frames on it, Needless to say, I was not happy with the job.”
