My issue is with the 'automatic' communication - my contact info wasn't saved even though I was emailed a referral to a pick-up site and filled out the electronic form at drop off. There was no automatic confirmation of receipt of the originals nor any updates until they were entered into the digitization process (weeks after pick-up) at which point I was inundated with emails about additional services.
Automatic contact re-return and pick-up date of the originals was fine.
I understood that there was a lot of business and didn't mind the wait for digitizing, I just would have preferred not to have to keep calling in to find out what was going on.”
“Tape was old. I couldn't expect miracles. And a rare tape cost an additional $20. All good.
But to get a $93 bill??? Where is that on your website? Intake? Packaging? C'mon.

“Sent three boxes of many different media.
Have to say something is lacking in quality control. My recordings were copied well, only problem is I got 3 copies of the same tapes, 8 mm, and audio. And they were not recorded in the same order.
Stupid me, watched, scanned a couple of thumb drives, was satisfied and disposed of all the old material.
Now I have triplicates and tons of missing memories.

“Just yesterday invited to my uncle home for dinner he revealed to me that the pictures were old and he had not known of them but by looking over the faces and buildings he was able to reminisce and make notes to them. The question was that how they appeared as a pile of unknown negatives left in a unique little box when my parents died and I was left to ponder what these were (my uncle is 82 and even he was not born when these photos were taken!).
